Its super sad, that Naunet actualy tried for short while be our real, so much needed CM, but then was put in chains and muted of, I guess, to conform to "internal way of doing things" (doing nothing!). Its mind bogling, that hired CMs actualy not allowed to do their CMing thing for some twisted reason.
 
Yet, she leaving such company likely for best in professsional way. Less time wasted.
 
 

No support in game. No support on weekends. Dev blogs about jetpack toggle button that would only be a footnote in ANY other game. High turnover rate at NQ. And last but definitely not least, literally MONTHS where you can log in without paying the sub, and NQ radio silent on it. I'm rarely a doomsday sayer but jesus fucking christ it couldn't look any worse if they tried.

What?  She hasn't even been here that long!  I didn't talk to her a lot personally but she seemed to be doing a great job! 
 
Too bad they are letting the only person left at NQ that talked to us walk out the door.  What a shame.

I guess NQ doesn't need a community manager since they abandoned the community. This is unfortunate, she will be missed- and if by chance she reads this- thank you for all you did for the community while you were here!

So all I've seen is people bitching in forums, bitching in Discord...about the status of the game....and hey, if you're not having fun, bitching about stuff is not very useful, so......use your 'IMAGINATION'!!! You have a building game, where you can build anything you want....so build a giant middle finger L core ship if you're mad, huge tile sized billboards, giant ass to moon the planet with, get creative! This can all be done in game, and you can have fun doing it, instead of bitching.GO BUILD SOMETHING....and express yourself. Remember you have Reddit, Twitter, Forums, Discord....all to post screens of your 'PROTEST' so go get creative, because the bitching is monotonous and boring!

It's not against TOS as User (Player) != character
TOS refers to RL situations here, not in game. (and this is a pretty standard part of any MMO TOS..)
 
You can scam in game all you want, you can blackmail in game all you want. You can't tell someone IRL that unless they give you money you are going to trash their place in game.
 
You can blockade a character's base in game, you can't cut someone's access to internet preventing them to play IRL
And no, you can't call SWAT IRL on your opponent in game as a battle starts
 
and yes, those things have happened. Not in DU yet but they have.
 

Unfortunately for XL the mass and volume do not scale in line with capacity. As mentioned in the original post the only good use for them is when you need the extra capacity connected to a single hub. On ships they are generally not worth the extra mass and on static constructs they are less space efficient.

Here's how they scale:
L = Large container
XL container - Capacity: 2*L    Volume: 2.8 * L    Mass: 2.98*L
Expanded XL- Capacity: 4*L    Volume: 5.6 * L    Mass: 5.96*L

And L wings plz
 
Btw if that XL container is as big as 8 L containers it should holds as much as 8L while being less heavy, can't check for specs atm but it make sense imho, that's how it works for all other elements.

for once i have to say that a thread is driving away from real problems, this is a prime example and here is why this thread irritates me:
 
1. warp is fine, is semi balanced, and is a working system as well as an essential one. there is no point to nerfing/buffing the mechanics of warp, period.
 
2. warp cell costs are not in any way unbalanced and also create a nice sink for the economy, besides no one really warps heavy haulers around unless they get caught, which is a reward for being smart about your hauling.
 
3. removing the ability to warp withought a player beacon would kill gameplay for many people, as well as make things unnecessarily difficult.
 
its hypocritical that the community pushes for NQ to reverse the scehmatics, which were not needed at all, and then asking for stuff like this.
let NQ just fix the exploit that is an issue, and let it be, warp is fine and there is no need to create problems that didnt exist.

Interesting. We don't find EL X toxic at all. He's super helpful, in fact. Helping newbies, organizing events, all kinds of things. Sounds like you didn't really give him a chance to shine.

when i left SLI, i did some research into other orgs, i had remembered seeing @Derpzilas video on fighting spreezy and that turned me on, when i first spoke to sylva, i learned alot about the other orgs, and based on what she told me i knew i was joining BOO, and i have loved it ever since!
 
other orgs i think are cool and good people, i however i will shoot them in game and have fun doing it and i hope they shoot me and have fun doing it! i am a pirate always and forever!

Yes, everyone has a good mind set that it’s a game at the end of the day. BOO is a community.
