    cores should have CCS bonus.

    L - 4x
    M - 3x
    S - 2x
    xs -normal rate.

L cores turn like shit, which is fine, you can add point defense weapons.  But rework shields so L cores have more tank now that they are slower.

    Shields
    L- 20mil base
    M - 15mil base
    S -10mil base
    xs 5mil base

Now tie shields to core size.

Now comes cross section changes.  if you hit a target with web, thats 50% his cross section goes up 50%.  L cores currently turn like ass but give them a chance to be a siege weapon and shine in a coordinated fleet.  Now L cores are slow, turn like ass, but in a fleet can apply their dmg and tank more if you spend the more money to add ccs.  Smaller cores still have great roles with their speed, better agility, and good probs, and CCS can be added with the boost without compeletly weighing down ships.

How ships die.  Keep the 3 lives DURING COMBAT.  but if you get cored, everything should blow up and all 3 lives lost.  Later on develop a way to use the recycler to salvage completely destroyed parts.  This creates a great sink and keeps production logistics up for BOTH sides of a battle.  The winning side of a battle should not always get their ships back, but also the enemies ships back, and fully functional after using 200 scrap.

Public shaming is forbidden by the forum rules.
If some player have done some reprehensible things to you and breach some basic rules, you have to contact the Customer Support by writing a ticket or reach out a Community Manager in private, just like @Msoul said. We can understand the frustration of such situation. However it's not because another has broken some rules and did some wrong that you're now allowed to break some yourself in return.

    @SMooreace
Refering to a group of players as "pathetic basement dwellers" or similar expressions is not okay, just as it is not okay to call a group of players as "filthy carebears" or similar expressions. Both PvP and Non-PvP players are supposed to respect this simple rule of remaining polite on the forum. If it's beyond your strength, don't participate at all in this kind of topics.

Also before accusing NQ of banning people in a partial way, here's also a reminder of how things work here:
    - If a player uses a bug exploit, don't do the same, just report him/her to Customer Support or a Community Manager. That's the only way to respond appropriately.
    - If you start using the same bug exploit to make justice yourself, then you are as guilty as the first offender and should accept the risk that you might be banned. And yes, sometimes, it may happen that the first offender may not have been caught either because he hasn't been reported properly, or because insufficient info have been brought to our attention. This situation may happen, despite the Novaquark team trying his best to assign sanctions in an impartial way. That's why the only solution to be on the safe side is the first approach mentioned above, and not fall in the mindset "xxxxx did something wrong, so it's fair I will do the same in return, without being sanctioned". That's not how things work and will never be.

As this topic has no constructive purpose, and only inciting to personal attacks, it will now be closed.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,
    Nyzaltar

Just because you can attack people in the pvp zone doesn’t mean you should in all cases. Just because I can gouge players on the markets doesn’t mean I should. If you stop and think for a second what the impact of your actions are on other players it should become obvious that some actions are detrimental to the health of the game and community. If we truly want the game and community to grow perhaps we should aim to create a healthy and vibrant community that new players are drawn to. Harassing other players and being childish, anti-social, or borderline sadistic because the game mechanics allow this to happen doesn’t make it okay. Even if it has become normalized.

Think about the long term effects of how you play the game and ask yourself: what if every player behaved the same way that I do? What kind of game would that be? And if the result is a healthy and positive experience then perhaps it’s a good way to play the game.

The problem doesn't appear to be so much that a bunch of pathetic bullies living in mommies basement are doing what they are doing, but more that NQ is not getting involved until someone returns the favor, effectively empowering the childish behavior by punishing those that stand up and call the BS exactly what it is.

I am sure most people here are already aware of all this but to the newer players reading through, note there are differences between simple pvp banter, trolling, and harassment. Pvp banter is just the friendly back and forth conversations you get before and after fights. You are under no obligation to participate in pvp banter and can simply choose to not respond when engaged. If you do wish to chat and are relatively new to said banter, I recommend you start off with a "good fight" or "nice one" and let the other party know you are still learning. In the event the banter becomes unfriendly or someone is bothering you (aka trolling) in chat, blocking them is a very effective solution. In the event that someone's conduct rises to the harassment level, you can contact NQ support and submit a player abuse report. If you have questions about what constitutes harassment, I encourage you to read up on the official code of conduct or message one of the community moderators/managers.

    Hope that helps.

Every MMO has their fair share of those who just want to disrupt, see the world burn and "roleplay" the bully by frustrating every attempt by others to build something interesting and productive. There is nothing new here nor is it unexpected.

The problem for DU is that the game world is so empty and the population so low, that the few that choose to follow the above gameplay style are easily heard and seen which just plays into their sense of "winning" and "achieving". They are like the "Snuffed Out" version of DU, players who just want to break things and disrupt to the extent he game allows it. They are not breaking any rules but are, in my opinion, simply being annoying and frustrating while being obnoxious and generally asshats in game. I do not get the fun in what they do, but apparently, they are having a ball with it.

And no, they are also not the equivalent of CODE in EVE as they have no such code, they have no ruleset or do not operate from an actual roleplay origin like CODE does. They just do because they can, not because it serves any sort of purpose or comes from any sort of backstory.

Frankly, I just ignore them and move away from the DUscord whenever they have their little spat of banter as it will die down soon enough.

Their "high level" of visibility is just a sign of how weak the game is as far as population and evolution of gameplay, if DU ever gets to a better place, they will still be around but they become pretty much the edge cases of annoyance and easily avoided and ignored.

I don't know about this specific drama, but I do find it sad that there are issues with the community not being polite...for a "mature" community of mostly older gamers, there's a lot of childish behavior.

xoxWildcardxox reacted to NQ-Deckard in DEVBLOG: REVISITING CONSTRUCT SLOT CHANGES
Following the discussion around yesterday’s devblog, the community asked us to look over our figures to see what we can reliably sustain in terms of construct limits. In this communication we want to take the opportunity to outline what we have decided to change from the previous devblog as well as to explain some decisions such as the mechanics of construct abandonment and our reasons for arriving at our previous figures. These proposed changes are still being developed by our design team and we welcome your continued feedback on this major update.

Organization Constructs Slots versus Personal Construct Slots

There appeared to be some confusion in yesterday’s devblog between organization and personal construct slots. Personal construct slots are always independent of organization construct slots.

Before outlining the details of the construct slots, it’s important to note that our position on excess construct abandoning mechanics. For the avoidance of doubt, when this change is implemented in the Panacea release. No construct will be subject to abandonment through the following mechanics for at least the first month after release.

This is to ensure as smooth a release as possible, and to allow our players who want to specialize in the architectural gameplay loop or the collecting of wonderful constructs, some time to accrue talent points and to adapt.

    Personal construct slots:

Can only be used for constructs in the player’s ownership. Can not be assigned to organizations. Are non-transferable to other players. Are gained through talents independently of organization construct slots.
    Organization construct slots:

Can be assigned to any organization, regardless of membership. Can not be assigned to players. Once assigned to an organization, can not be repealed from that organization for 30 days. Once repealed, the organization will have until the next bi-weekly construct check to ensure that it meets its construct slot requirements. If that bi-weekly construct check determines that the organization has more constructs than it has slots, the organization will receive a warning and be required to ensure the constructs count is brought down to its capacity. If the next bi-weekly construct check following that warning determines that the organization still has more constructs than it has slots, random constructs from that organization will be abandoned until the organization is back in compliance with its slot capacity. All this means that even if you go over the available slot count, you have at the very minimum 14 days to correct it.
We are keeping the random nature of selection for construct abandonment. This is because as game developers we know that if there exists a way for a game system to be broken, our players will find it. In this particular instance, given the gravity of the impact, we feel that it’s important to protect the game and our community from abuse, and the randomization is an effort to do that.

We hope this clears up some of the lingering questions that were remaining yesterday.

Player allocated slot amounts, why so low?

Following internal research, we determined that currently per active player there are approximately 25 constructs in the game at the present time.

Therefore we believed that having a total of 42 slots per player would have been enough to provide an overhead for the community to be able to distribute the available slots amongst each other and support each other's projects.

We do value our players and recognise that some of you own considerably more constructs than that average, and though we want to encourage collaboration and community, we don’t want to constrain those players that prefer to go it alone.

    And, we’ve heard you.

We are looking into an alternative approach that we feel will meet the majority of the community needs while also meeting our requirements for the long term sustainability and balancing of Dual Universe.

    Talent Changes

We are going to increase the core allowances. In yesterday's devblog we proposed a figure of 42 total constructs. We are going to increase that through the introduction of talent changes that will require considerable time investment but keep the door open to players that wish to own many constructs.

The new talents are separated into three tiers, increasing in expense significantly per tier.

The new figures are (subject to change)

    For personal construct slots:

The base personal construct slots will be increased from 2 to 10 slots without any talents. The first tier personal construct talent will grant 3 slots per level (up from 2), for a total of 15. The second tier personal construct talent will grant 5 slots per level (up from 1), for a total of 25. The new third tier personal construct talent will grant 10 slots per level, for a total of 50.
This will allow for a maximum personal construct limit of 100, once all the talents are fully acquired.

    For organization construct slots:

The base organization construct slots will grant 10 slots without any talents. The new first tier organization construct talent will grant 3 slots per level, for a total of 15. The new second tier organization construct talent will grant 5 slots per level, for a total of 25. The new third tier organization construct talent will grant 10 slots per level, for a total of 50.
This will allow for a maximum organization construct limit of 100, once all the talents are fully acquired.

The combination of the two will allow a determined player to reach the maximum number of construct slots that we can reasonably maintain. This will take substantial time investment in order to be a specialization within the game.

We will still be refunding the following Legate based talents:

Organization Construct Management Organization Construct Management Specialization Advanced Organization Construct Management Specialization
These talents will be buffed to collectively increase the maximum ceiling for the organization's construct limit to 1625.

If you have already trained Advanced Organization Construct Management Specialization to level 5, by reinvesting the refunded talent points, we estimate that you will be able to reach at least a construct slot capacity total of 80. Further, given the grace period of at least 1 month following the Panacea release, we hope that those amongst our players who value their construct capacity can increase it to a comfortable level of approximately 125 construct slots before needing to make decisions on which constructs to keep.

We want to thank you all for your feedback and take this opportunity to recognize the passion you our community have for the future of this game. We would love to hear how you feel about the new changes outlined above in this forum.

It has become apparent soon we will be able to battle each other in Dual Universe. Our weapons are being forged as we speak, and usher in a new era. This era is filled with mysteries and woes the likes of which DU has never seen. However in the dark mist of the unknown has come a light. The light of the All Father, and his vision to our Master Architect over what is to come. The light shows us what we are to do. When the first days dawn on Alpha 3, the Third age of DU, New Genesis will position itself near the Space that is contested. From there, we will launch our first crusade.

    The First Crusade

This crusade will aim to cleanse the conflicted lands of its dreadful blight... and burn away the non-believers like the cancer that they are. In a vision our Lord has sent to us a sign... to claim the Lands of War as our own. In it we will place a Shrine to his Majesty and we will endeavor to protect it daily... If it falls down we will build it again... if we are defeated like a great Phoenix we will rise from the ashes. The Holy Chosen of the All Father will know NOT the pain of defeat or fatigue of failure. We are charged in keeping his Holy Land Pure, and protected from the filth of the non-believer to which we shall not Fail.

Sharpen your swords Brothers... load your rifles... and warm the engines of our behemoths of war. The opening salvo of the First Crusade are upon us, and Non shall survive our Purge!

The only time I've mentioned you besides this thread was to say you "don't have any license to disparage people for complaining about something," which I still stand by. I hope you didn't find that block-worthy, because my god, that's blowing it way out of proportion. Either way, thanks for giving me more content.
Genuinely, this sort of thought process makes you one of the most unlikable people I've ever had the displeasure of sharing a community with and is absolutely a minority opinion.
You clearly aren't tolerating it, because if you truly tolerated PVP, you wouldn't make comment after comment after comment slamming PVP and those who enjoy it. You're sort of missing the "without interference" aspect of tolerance.

Frankly, at the end of the day, you'll just feed the system you so vehemently hate on; and we'll all be sure to hear you complain about it when it happens.
