Fix the game and wipe it out! Not wiping it out only maintains the terrible imbalance that is created by the broken game!

I am always open to coming back to DU, but that is only after they fixed it! I can say that this game have a potential to be a viable game after assessing the available and upcoming MMOs!

Right now, I am playing nothing because I am disappointed on the quality of MMOs (especially on their lack of contents). Due to the terrible and deteriorating state of our genre, DU stands a chance in the market, only if they will get the game fixed! A game that is fixed is worth a second go!

I was ranting on NQ. Giving free money is not fair! As I already explained, it is stealing!
If the system is not fair, will you play the game? Nobody will, and certainly not myself! They aren't even willing to do anything about the exploits so this is a very inequitable game!

They should reward you for that, and they should reward you for that by making the game fair! You reap what you sow.

You have a zoo, you put the gorilla, the lion, the tiger, the jaguar, the crocodile, and the chimpanzee in the same gated habitat. If you leave them right there, you expect that they will learn to live together in harmony and everything will function eventually? The problem with this realistic economic design is you need a board who will regulate it to keep it under control. Simplify the sh*t and just use a representative currency and make aphelia buy/sell nothing else but the commodity (oxygen/hydrogen) so we have liquidity to use for transactions. Using representative currency IS bartering as it is the same as using the commodity itself. Does this mean that the market will now remain stable? No! It is still defined by market price, in other words, player activity. Now you can let it run it's course as it is a barter economy! (don't wanna use the representative currency? They can always barter using something else!) The good thing is you no longer need to regulate currency supply. It doesn't work to just let them grind for unlimited money (that has no intrinsic value) and resources and not regulate it.

Also remove the helicopter money in the game! I'm the central bank and I give you $500, you cannot retract that! You've introduced face value by just printing it out of thin air! Versus you've sold me an Xbox One, I keep the Xbox One in the reserve, you get the $500. It is retractable because I can sell you the reserve and I get the money back. It is not QE! Money is an MoU that they will pay it back with securities! What value is the money with no security? It doesn't work to print them out of thin air and it doesn't work to have no reserve! You will give them $500, they will spend the $500 on people that actually produced, it is rent-seeking!

And we will get DAC in the future which will f*ck up the already f*cked up economy!

My advice is to just simplify the economy to make the game more accessible to players and to make more practical use of the company's limited resources!

If the NPCs will buy all stuff for a certain price and they sell stuff for a certain price, then the problem here is the prices are regulated by these NPCs. We don't want a regulated market!

Aphelia owns the sole payment system in the game. To craft most things in this game, you need oxygen/hydrogen and I think they are equivalent in value. These will be the basis for a single representative currency called "Quanta". Aphelia will buy all oxygen and hydrogen at permanent price and she will put it up for sale at permanent and exactly the same price she bought it for, making Quanta a representative currency. Without a money sink, and what you have is a representative money, price stability is entirely dependent on player activity and NQ doesn't have to do anything to regulate the market. Everybody can craft oxygen/hydrogen by refining their T1 ores to T1 pures via nanocrafter. They are cents, and just like money, it has cents. You should think oxygen/hydrogen as money and they are very valuable because you use them to craft nearly everything -- they are fundamental.

This is a better proposal than what they are doing! If you can decentralize the currency, if you can decentralize the market, and there is a way, why not do it? Why settle for broken and regulated if you can fix it and deregulate it?

We don't need a realistic economy! We need something simple, functional, and deregulated that works for MMOs! It's highly possible on a realm of a game, so do it!

The resources and money available that players can grind for is dependent on time that players are willing to invest on grinding. By not limiting them, it is a seamless MMO design exactly similar to what you find in traditional MMOs and not session-based MMO design that you find in modern MMOs. Nobody here wants to see a session-based MMO, so I agree on not limiting them!

What I do not agree with however is the unconventional unproven monetary policy this game has! For example, the daily Quanta login reward. That is called "helicopter money" and not QE! QE is when the central bank buys securities from the open market to inject money into the economy. The only difference is in real-life, these securities are financial assets (for example, commercial bonds with maturity). With helicopter money, you want to increase their demand, and at the same time, the bot will QE by buying physical resources further reducing them? It's called rampant inflation! Look what happened at the beginning of EA? People are willing to buy all ores for greater than the bot price as securities because they know that it will go up! This created a bubble and if this is to continue, it will exacerbate the inequality and this will be a regressive elitist game! Now Quanta comes from missions (which is helicopter). It doesn't deplete the resources but it depletes people's time (you trade your time for money). How is that productive in economic sense to trade your time for money without producing any value only for you to spend it on things with value that other people produced instead of trading your time for resources directly and using this to barter? What kind of economic policy is that? It doesn't work and I am not stupid! You think it works to just print money without spending them on securities and give it to the poor as social assistance? If ever you are to do it, it's the tax that pays for that! It's called redistribution!

I'd like to see conventional policies that work, is equitable, simple, decentralized, and fun, and you don't need to reinvent the wheel! All you got to do is look at examples that best work for MMOs! Runescape is an MMO that has the best economy that is designed for MMOs! Why can't we look at that as an example?! I don't understand man, I don't!

    Here is what you want:
    - Production-oriented market and a factory system instead of a putting-out economy that is inclusive to everyone with stable prices.
    - Specialized and repetitive job instead of horizontal progression that gives you variety of activities.
    - A regulated monetary system with NQ as the central bank governor instead of a much simpler (and decentralized) representative money.
    - A passive time-based skill system that doesn't do anything but exacerbate the inequality instead of an active skill system for gameplay content or just nothing at all.
    - An unregulated, risky, hierarchal, broken, and inequitable corporate system that will always dominate the game instead of designing the game for individual growth and interest that is common in most MMORPGs as this is more egalitarian and equitable.

You don't need to hire an economist that worked for the IMF or ADB if you just simplify the f*cking game! Simplify it man! It's not complicated if it is meant for everyone to grasp it and let's not complicate it like in Eve! Also the game is designed to be regressive, it is South Africa! You gonna make it inclusive and equitable!

The biggest problem in this game in my opinion is they made it a free-for-all. The game is entirely player-driven and they designed the game structurally to be group-based. This means that we need to function as a society and interact with each other for particular purposes/activity. This kind of environment is more akin to real-life than typical MMORPGs -- it's highly competitive because the game is completely liberalized. A game that puts us in complete liberty, and then at the same time we have to cooperate, we are forced to be a part of society that is in nature will always be hierarchal. Social rank defines how much control we have in our society. We all want participation because that is what gives us purpose, and apparently you have to fight for that status in what is a hierarchal world.

If you think construct vs construct PVP is a big problem, it is not because the game offers protection from it. My problem is the whole game is completely liberalized except for violence and it is just not fun because it is highly competitive for a game. I've played other traditional MMORPGs during the golden age and I've never experienced a game as liberal as this. Now that I did, it is a frustrating experience! Literally you took the complex social problems that we have in real-life into the game by completely liberalizing it!

Negotiating with them from the position of weakness and division will only cost you your sovereignty, integrity, and independence, as you will be negotiating with the lack of bargaining power. Neutral organizations/people should exercise neutral foreign policy to remain neutral, otherwise you give in to their soft power in which you fall under their influence via diplomacy. How should you manage your diplomacy with Legion? By engaging them multilaterally, or forming a union and engaging them bilaterally, maintaining the balance of power, and investing in military for deterrence, so you will be able to project your power more in international relations.

The point of hard power is to influence someone. The use of soft power is to the same end. I would rather that you shoot me than to give in to soft power! I came from a culture where honor is more important!

Why should you go to war? To act in resistance! Diplomatic solution only works when there is a term that everyone agrees with, or you are surrendering and therefore agreeing to the unfavorable term!

Dual Universe is a free-for-all completely player-driven group-based PVP MMO if that is what they want to develop the game to be! That is how the real-world works except we learned how to put ourselves in order by having social standards and upholding them through conservatism and discipline. If we are all gonna have to work together and interact with each other, we must be able to maintain good relationship with one another. This is what a developed society has! This game however has absence of it! We have a disordered society on what is naturally a disordered world! We don't have any developed culture!

This game started out way back then when the org directory was created and a bunch of random people were recruiting for numbers like revolutionists. That is how our society is in this game from the beginning until now! That is a patron system!

The game sucks that I quit! You will throw us into a free-for-all world, ofcourse there will be people who will take advantage of others as we are hierarchal in nature. What is worse is we have this patron and supporter culture!

There is nothing developed in our society in this game! We don't even have any democracy because that is not possible in the game! Even if we managed to craft the foundation of it, there is no sovereignty! With no sovereignty, you can't have an official representative government! It's impossible! What we have are de facto organizations that have their legates and members. If you are not happy with that organization, you leave for another de facto organization or you solo the game! Patron and supporters in nature! Who will not quit if the game is like this? Personally, I would rather play an equitable MMO which is already proven in concept than this free-for-all group-based non-sense that doesn't even work!

Politics in the game doesn't work! How will it work when there is no sovereignty? The game is about patron and supporters de facto organizations that compete with each other for power in the form of number of supporters! Nothing matters in the game but that! Hard power and soft power is for the means of influence! It is a patron game!

Economy in the game also doesn't work and that is a different topic! I can expound on that, but the point is it doesn't work as well and it's never been proven!

There are 2 types of alliances: an association and a confederation. The difference between the two is an association is an inter-organizational organization that is established from a treaty of cooperation signed between members, while a confederation is a centralized organization created by a treaty consisting of member organizations. One has a central authority and the other does not! Arch Confederacy (AC) is a confederation! You know very well what union is like that and a country walked out of it. And here you are in this game, doing the same thing. Not all unions are confederate!

Government of the alliance? Sounds like a confederation!

You know, everyone is free to structure an organization the way they want. My point is my political opinions are different!! Let them do what they want to do, I will not join them! My sentiment, regarding in-game, is they are a dictator organization! This is the type of gameplay this game promotes! I mean how can you not have any individualism in this game while working in a group? Because of the lack of social standards! You throw us into a free-for-all environment like that and there will always be people who take advantage of others through inequity! I mean look at this hierarchy lol! I'm not ignorant!

This game is terrible! It's a collective hierarchal game! You have 50 people and 1 dictator: those 50 people cannot pressure the dictator when they are greater in number? You see, nothing in this game is gonna evolve from the feudal society this game has always been since the very beginning, because people here are ignorant! When people are ignorant, they don't know how to assert themselves, and you can very much see this on the widespread of slavery in this game!

One of the reason why I left this game is I am not playing a game of slave! I mean look at the MMOs I played: they all have equitable gameplay! While this game? I don't think they've done anything to promote self-interest in gameplay!

Do you invest in something that has no security? You talk about shares (which is by the way a "claim") but there is no way to assert it as the game is entirely player-driven? It doesn't f*cking work unless we have a complex society that has a reputation system!

Working with people in this game as a stakeholder is impossible through incorporation!

Frigates in real-life are warships that are built with endurance of 30 ~ 50 days (without replenishment) for deep-water (offshore) patrolling, hence their bigger size of 350 ~ 450 feet compare to a corvette. A dynamic construct that is over a kilometer in length is 10 times longer than a frigate in real-life! Suppose we build a frigate in this game the size of a frigate in real-life, what is the point of it's size if we barely even have any requirement for such capacity? In this game, we see only a maximum of around 4 people travelling on a large core ship! A frigate the size of real-life is already too big for only 4 people that doesn't need any accommodation at all, even more 10x of that size! If you are gonna make something big, there has to be a requirement for such capacity, and in this game, there is little requirement! The sh*t that we build are too big for their use! One person in this game built a 75-story building when just a unit in it is good enough for him! What is the use? It just looks abandoned to me! You are building something that has too much capacity for the requirement!

We are too ambitious and the game is too ambitious! You gonna limit the game, because at this point, it is just unrealistic! A 1 km (1000 meter) ship? For what? You are thinking too big! You will struggle designing that ship as there is barely any requirement in the game! Modern frigates in real-life can complement a crew of between 110 ~ 150 at endurance of 30 to 50 days without replenishment, hence the size of the ship. And you want what? 10x the size of this?

It's time we be a little more realistic!

Imagine if the world is the way Dual Universe is: we wouldn't have developed and advanced to exactly where we are right now and continue to seek growth, instead we would be a minimalist society. My point is, you cannot strive for development without the incentive for development; you cannot work on solving a problem without the problem! So, for a civilization-building game to work, you need a game-loop (in the form of content), not just leaving it all to the players! This is the reason why the economy doesn't work at all! There is no demand! Why do you need a sword with +126 attack fully enhanced and endowed with wind element or something like that? It is to train a character, to farm for drops, and to PVP for stake (reward), hence the item actually has use (we call this the "intrinsic value" of the item). In Dual Universe, you have market value with no demand, and then the intrinsic value of these items are lacking (because of the lack of game-loop)! Now how do you evaluate these items as a buyer? In real-life, you look at the intrinsic value! If the market price offered is lower than the intrinsic value, it is a good deal, because in the end, that is all that matters! Keeping useless items in this game is like keeping gold as a security! People in this game are hoarding and they are hoarding things that lack intrinsic value! You are hoarding garbage! We need a game-loop, otherwise these items have no use! This completely player-driven design is not working! It's never gonna replicate real-life and we are never gonna get to that! In real-life, we actually have a loop (in the form of demands) that incentivizes us to continue to produce and develop.

This is why we don't have an economy!: Why bother when there is no demand? There is no demand as this is 100% a player-driven game!

DU's in-game economy has been stagnant ever since the beginning of early access and is only continuing to recede as we lose more and more players over time! Why is that the case? You cannot support production without consumption mechanics! In a consumption-driven economy, money (coming from an external source) needs to be injected into the domestic market in which it will end up in the hands of consumers who will spend those money to support the local industries. The economic growth is dependent on consumption! If the consumption remains weak, it does not matter how much money they have in hand (and how much this eased), if they will not spend (because of lack of consumption mechanics in the game), there won't be much trading going on and therefore the lack of activity! The difference between this game and real-life is you don't need much in this game to get through! The game is 100% player-driven, with no progression, with lack of consumption mechanics. This explains why the activity in this game is as such! People have no expectation because there is no goal! The economy has no engine at all! If the game is designed to be minimalistic, there is only one way to play the game and that is to play it as a minimalist. You got too much items in this game that don't break down; you can literally provide for yourself without needing to trade; and there is not even any goal in this game but to continue to acquire more things that you don't need. What happens when you already get to the top of the mountain? You are discontent! So add more content for me to continue to have expectations! And you got to do something about our declining confidence in the economic system such as the exploits, free quantas, the bots, etc.! Not only is the economy stagnant and receding, it is also broken to the point that it already collapsed!

I've been thinking hard about this: the typical MMOs that you play is about character development including growing the assets of that character. It's about individual development. Ofcourse you got guilds to affiliate yourself with other people, to leverage your connection with other people, but the game still revolves around character development. This is what I call an equitable game!

When I play games like Eve Online and Dual Universe, it's about empire development. There is no individuality. Everything is about your contribution to the empire. You made the game a socialist game for the sake of making it social! A social game means there is an interactivity between players. It does not mean making the game group-based making it a socialist game.

Organizations have asset that the members have contributed. An organization does not exists physically. What exists in this material world are the people and the people are individuals. Is there like a legal framework in this game to settle the claims of an individual in an organization? None, it is all player-driven! So what we end up having in this game is the communist socialist structuring of organizations that players contribute to without personal rights to your share in that organization, to your stake in that organization that is never distributed and is reinvested into the equity of that organization, as you have no way to assert them but through player-driven way, in an authoritarian system.

Legates set rights? Are you serious? If I contribute 2 tons of steel rolled, do I not have the rights to the ownership of those steel? It's called a "share"! And what, it is up to the legate to set these rights? That is why you should f*cking put it on your name! You own it, you should f*cking put it on your name! In that way, you can assert what is yours since we don't have any legal system!

In this game, we don't have personal property rights under organization which is needed for capitalism to exists. We do if you name it under yourself, but never in an organization. Organizations in this game is dictatorship, communism, and socialism. Why, you ask? Where is the personal rights? You expect me to wait for it from the top? What is he, a god?

This game is about worshiping dictators, it's never about equity for people who are playing this game in a group, and believe me, this game forces you to play this game in a group! no equity, no capitalism! What do you call it? Answer it for yourself!

Btw, aircraft's landing gear in real-life is called an "oleo strut". "Oleo" means it is pneumatic (it uses air). So what you have is something like an actuator (an outer cylinder and a piston called an inner cylinder that fits inside it. both are held together by the scissor-link). The cylinder is divided by the orifice into 2 sections: upper chamber which is serviced with nitrogen (because it is the least corrosive) and lower chamber which is serviced with petroleum-based hydraulic fluid called mil-h-5606 which is the standard (when you have to lube that piston, you must use 5606 as well, nothing else). This is what they use to cushion the impact of landing (pressurized air, not a spring coil like in a car). A spring coil bounces, dampening the air slowly from the compression of the actuator from landing does not cause bouncing and it absorbs the energy of landing.

1.) Vastly simplify the game in terms of learning curve to actually make it playable.
2.) Remove the passive skill system. The point of a skill system is to create a set objective for players to actively accomplish. A passive skill system does not serve the purpose of active in-game content designed for players to get engaged.
3.) Wipe the game completely prior to release and inform the public of this decision ASAP.
4.) Add a text-based chat system in the form of chat bubble into the game which is vital for facilitating in-game social interaction.
5.) Make raw resources renewable in their natural environment similar to a mining node in Runescape. If you don't do this, we will be forced to spend all our time extracting the limited available resources on an onrush making this a mining simulator as it is right now.
    6.) Remove the schematic system.
7.) Get rid of the market bot and let players trade using the 4 basic ores (coal, hematite, bauxite, silicon) as the currency itself. These things actually have tangible value. The problem with this is it is cumbersome as one has to carry these ores. This is why I keep saying to use a representative money. You exchange these ores on an NPC for representative money and anyone can withdraw the ores back from an NPC using the representative money that they have in hand.
8.) Remove the "ayuda" (financial assistance) in this game in the form of daily log-in reward per account which devaluates work.
9.) An economy is driven with consumption. Introduce consumption mechanics to the game otherwise people will not trade hands. Right now, the game has no economic engine. Runescape is a sandbox MMO with developed active skill system, in-game quest system, and a wilderness area to PVP while this game is a sandbox MMO with nothing else. Why do you need resources if there is no end goal but to mine for more resources? The game has no vertical and horizontal PVE progression unlike Runescape!
10.) The point of larger constructs is to accommodate larger capacity. Think of an Airbus A380 with 1000 seats, double-decked 747, long Boeing 777 300-series being used privately by few individuals. The constructs have too much capacity for their use! People in this game are thinking too big! Nobody in this game uses smaller cores!

This game is very ambitious. I really like the ideas this game have but it's poorly implemented and so the game doesn't work. If you have played MMOs like Runescape, the game is bustling with activity individually and socially because there are activities to do as the game have a developed PVE. This game failed to replicate that.

You wanna know what lighting elements are for? To bring illumination on areas that are dark! In other words, to make the surrounding more visible in terms of details! Darkness is the absence of light!

What is the point of the lighting elements? If the night is brighter than the moon, you don't need these elements! You don't! They have no purpose, they are just decorations like many things, I am telling you as a mechanical person!

The rich do not need to work (in fact they do not work), regardless they are working or not (most probably they are not. why would they? it's not productive of their time!); the poor do need to work, regardless they are working now or unemployed (everyone has to eat).

Rich do not work, the poor works!

If you can take the passive income, you take the passive income! The problem in real-life is people do not know how to delegate the work, how to minimize the work, and how to leverage OPM (debt or whatever financing). A company has an asset. Asset is equity and liability (only a fool will use 100% equity). You have some liquidity to run the business (you better not run out of liquidity!). The business and it's asset will generate revenue (this will replenish--or increase your liquidity if your spending is a surplus). With income, you will make a payment on your debt, and over time, your liability and equity will separate (you are becoming richer!).

Are you paying for the debt? If you are, then it's bad debt (just like your mortgage. you call that an investment when it's not an income-generating asset?); if the debt is paying for the debt, then it's good debt! That is called leveraging a debt!

This opportunity is hard to make in real-life! Make this easily available in the game and I ain't working! I don't like to work!
