Shematics needed for t1 alloys. They have like 2 min cycle. NQ you are [filtered]ing kidding me. Fix this asap

This schematic change is uniquely making me angry, even more than patch 0.23.
Yeh, nice that parts don't require schematics, but the mere 5 copying slots and the horrendous copying times take the fun out of it for me. I'm solo player with a 7.5K elements factory and I feel like I'm being punished for my gameplay.
I've spent dozens of millions of talent points on indy+crafting efficiency just to get smacked in the head by this annoying time sink to decrease my "talents" in time.
There is no "fun" value added, only more chores and waiting times.
    - every done copy in a batch should be made available at once, not as a whole batch at the end (abandon this "batch" mechanic)
    - waiting for 10 hours for a T4 product schematic batch is just painful
    - 5 slots is a joke (UI wise, doesn't even fit on a single screen for me)
    - don't make us require more talents, the overall talents "pool" is overblown already as it is
Really hoping for fast improvements to this. Motivation to play is gone.

Well.. it's obvious now that NQ has not learned a thing from 0.23 or any of the mistakes they made since..
This is even worse than what I expected they'd come up with.

This will destroy what's left of the game's industry player base

All the comments, the suggestions, the feedback and reasonable advice is, as expected, completely ignored and NQ just shoved possibly their biggest mistake yet down everyone's throat.

Here copmes 0.23 part two .. and the proof that NQ simply will not bother to learn from past mistakes.

As expected, NQ is totally ignoring the feedback they already have and will just shove this change down everyone's throat untested and shortly before/at release.

What could possibly go wrong /s

Putting aside that the "refunding" answer is bogus for two reasons:
A wipe will happen, removing schematics in game anyway. Just in case no wipe occurs this pretty much says that those who benefitted from the massive exploit where all schematics were available at a 99% discount for some time will benefit massively as NQ never removed those schematics for the game at the time, so if they were not sold or RMT'd already players will not get the full value back in quanta.
I agree that the indications of both duration for copying and cost are such that you can't produce enough in a timely fashion and/or market prices will go through the roof as this will force prices to go up.

And how does NQ see copied blueprints with a vaariation of runs being sold on markets? that just makes no sense.

NQ has every intention to just push this and test this on live servers either at or post release, which is just a terrible, terrible idea. The fact that NQ seems to think they can just keep going in their distorted reality of "it's fine to keep this going, release is just a label". Is appears the attitude and considerations that caused JC to drive the game nearly off a cliff is still very much alive at NQ. You simply CAN'T expect to be able to test potentially damaging changes like this in s LIVE SERVICE port release.

Oh and the UI they "created" for this is just.. terrible..

This is just an overall bad idea, how can anyone at NQ really think this is a good plan and why is there no one at NQ with any sense of "but wait a moment."
    Deeply, deeply concerning...

With all the talk about how we will react to it one would think they might actually change some of this crap. But, knowing NQ for what they are this is coming Tuesday and we can all get bent. Because it's their game and we just pay for the right to be told we're wrong and don't see the game dying around us every day from garbage development.

They're trying to balance an economy when the elements and gameplay loops aren't even established.

They can't get away with telling us we didn't say anything either. The whole post they tried to bury when they opened this one says we were loud and clear. but we will be ignored yet again.

Mncdk1 reacted to Atmosph3rik in Should NQ abandon their "Metaverse" obsession...?
Way back in the beginning when there was nothing but a website with a few pieces of concept art and a few dev blogs, JC was throwing around the term Metaverse, and i think it was fine the way he was using it back then.  But at this point i'm afraid the word has too much baggage.  If NQ wants to continue to make a game that has many similarities with the concept of a Metaverse, i think that's a great idea.  But the more they use the term, the more they're going to associate themselves with all the scams and grifts that are going on in that area.

Let's say NQ heard that a lot of people were excited by the Brooklyn Bridge.   So they decided to build and sell a scale replica of it.  If that was something that people were interested in, that might be a good idea.  As long as they made it clear that it was a replica, and if you gave them money, you wouldn't be getting an actual bridge.  You wouldn't own any property in Brooklyn, and you wouldn't own any bridges.  You couldn't drive your car across it, or sail a boat under it, and you sure as shit wouldn't be able to resell it for a profit.

    That would be great.

Unfortunately, the "Metaverse" at this point is just a bunch of grifters yelling "Who wants to buy the Brooklyn Bridge".

And the sad part is none of them even have a "replica" that is half as good as what NQ is/was working towards.

I think building an MMO that is as close as we can currently get to the concept of a "Metaverse" is a great idea.  But i don't think throwing the term around a lot is going to do anything but damage their reputation.

Right now asking for balanced feedback is a complete joke!  There might very well be some people with positive things to say, but I have none at all.

I stopped paying into the game months ago because NQ are clearly and obviously misleading us about the wipe and am angry about that.  I could still play but don't really want to because of that.

I am also really angry about the fact that most of my constructs are *still* broken by the thing that was meant to stop people cheating with overlapping elements.  None of them have overlapping elements (at least they were not built with the cheat and don't look like they do).  Nobody has fixed this after months of time.

So no, I don't have any positive feedback for you right now.  Best I can do is that I like that these podcasts come out regularly and communicate.  I just don't like how you ignore the one question everyone has despite having obviously decided already *and even tested the mechanism for preserving talent points post-wipe* like you think we're morons.

Feedback is mostly negative for a reason

Feedback would be more balanced if NQ interacted with the community more than once a week via a video -- the best feedback comes when communication is two-sided. When people feel like nothing they say matters anyway, they tend to be more harsh.

It'd help to have specific examples of criticisms that led to NQ removing something that people then disliked...People complained about "mole sim" for along time, but auto-miners aren't popular, either. That's because complaining about something doesn't always mean you want it to be deleted.

I'm all for providing more "balanced" feedback, 100%!

But...that means NQ has to spend more time actually interacting with the community, because absent that of course feedback will skew towards complaints.

Part of this would be actually addressing obvious topics that need attention like the "ongoing" wipe discussions. If you actually read this forum, you'd know very clearly how much annoyance this topic has caused.

That this still isn't even acknowledged doesn't inspire people to provide more positive feedback...it inspires the exact opposite.

Q1: It's crazy that this question doesn't prompt, at the very least, a comment along the lines of "maybe we should make X more clear". If players are leaving the FTUE with the question "Now what?" then the FTUE is a failure.

Q2: It get that it's annoying when people come poking again and again, but cooldowns isn't the answer.

Q3: A multiple solar system universe doesn't need to be a continuous universe imo. A system like EVE's, where each solar system is connected by some "instant" fast-travel mechanism could work. And I don't see any reason why it should be costly. Traveling from Alioth to "Alioth 2" could be as simple as flying up to some Aphelia installation orbiting at 1 SU above Alioth (for instance), and then getting shot through interstellar space.

I'll say this: with 'future plans' up for discussion all the time its hard to commit to this game. Many of the things we like to build take months of effort, and suddenly NQ decides to rewrite a major pillar of the game and its all invalidated. MegaFactories - invalidated. MegaNodes/Mining - invalidated. HTML Lua - invalidated. All your beta builds - wiped and invalided *soon. We should be at a point we you are 'tweaking things' for balance and adding on features. Now you're telling me you 'might think about removing safe zones' in the future. At the end of Episode 6, about removing safe zones. If you don't even know if they will be viable, why should I build there? Wipe goes through, I start having fun building my space station, and six months down the road you decide to put me in PvP space, and my work is invalidated. What's next? Removing markets 'because too many people go there' or something? I really want to play this game but it feels like a waste when it all ends up being for not after you guys remove stuff. You'll have to settle at some point and have a plan because this wishy washy 'I don't know what we're making' isn't really attractive long-term.

Edit: it was always the plan to remove the outer planet safe zones but not the inner zone. Just say that.
