i would suggest to reconsider the "for a single fuel tank"  bit.
a problem that all advanced Flight Huds have is the number of links on the control units. mainly the fuel tanks are the limiting factor, as whenever you have a bigger number of fuel tanks, those consume so many links, that we are unable to link all elements needed to control the ship to a single seat.  there are some workarounds in place, like not linking the fuel tanks and going via core and talent levels to try to get the correct amount of fuel in each of the fuel containers. but this is painful, difficult and honestly nothing we should have to do.

Just implement this change as a fuel "hub" allowing 10 fuel containers per fuel type to be accessed via one link and the problem would be solved, and wouldn't cause a risk, like increasing the general number of allowed links might do.

    Hagbard.

Will we ever get the ability to see and compare what talents are applied to elements/constructs?  This is one of the most frustrating parts of the whole game. Other updates look great.

I payed my sub from the first week of beta. Didn't get bubkis. Oh you mean those few little trinkets I had to PAY for? Yeah that crap doesn't count as we got tricked into paying for subs for 6 months so they could show good release sub numbers to their shareholders. Then took away 75% of the game to spoon feed it to us like they're actually making stuff.

This is probably the single best argument for keeping market bots in the game. No one's buying T1 ores, and people severely undercut the sell orders for everything else, to even their own detriment. I'm convinced the people who undercut so much have no idea what their time is actually worth.

That being said, I agree. eventually it'll take months to save up to buy a ship, or all the parts you can't make to build a ship, and even longer if you want to make all the parts. This game is a major grindfest with no real reward, and it makes me sad.

This is a load of BS. If you want to talk risk vs reward, ganking an unarmed ship tops the list. You get the ship and the cargo with no risk, and the miner takes all the risk. That's not even PvP, it's PvE with an extra layer.

As a former FDEV employee (Quality Assurance and NA Ambassador) If I was an artist working for a studio and another funded studio blatantly ripped my art and posted it as shitty of as edit as it is.. I'd lose my absolute shit, just as I am rn.

The community, as we knew it, left after .23r dropped at a really bad time. JC's insisted on doing things his way, and the greater community revolted. That is NOT the way to foster goodwill.

I'll continue to watch how things unfold, and if they fix things, I may be back to DU. I just hope Nicolas Granatino does right by both the company and the players. Only time will tell.

Toxic positivity is just as bad as toxic negativity. Being positive to the point of ignoring the glaring negatives isn't healthy and should not be encouraged.

Agreed. As I have seen for myself, as well as many others here have stated. Touching a production model is verboten except by a specific person. The only time I have ever seen servers touched like that is just when they're in alpha state.

None of this actually ends in a healthy game world we can all enjoy. Let me add another option:

They could stone up and say there will be a full wipe near end of Beta where players can retain skill points only. Pretso chango , now people won't care to terribly much what they screw up along they way, and they can stop with all this secretive ATV insiders nonsense because who cares what people know is coming in a test environment Ah, and of course they would promise that after that wipe the ATV or insiders test server will be abandoned in favor of the public test server and the company will never give handouts to any players on the live servers be they streamers or best friends or whatever.

Then they can also make sure to give streamers goodies or handouts on the test server (so it doesn't affect the live server) to do their periodic "whats coming in DU" promo videos and whatnot. Aside from the few streamers that run orgs in the live game or whatever, most will only sweep in for major updates and move on anyway.

Same here. As a backer I feel that over the years I have gotten my money's worth play testing (the 9999 era was golden), and lots of entertainment value just from watching and commenting on NQ stumbling along.

But..  I would never even consider paying subs for the current game.

Sure. All I can do is guess at NQ's intent at the moment.

I think they were trying to expand the dynamic range of scarcity and capability of items produced by players. I suspect they were surprised how quickly players moved from low tiers to high tiers, so they attempted to widen the gap between low end and high end items to have something to strive for.  Well, we all know how well that worked, closing the barn door and all that.

So future players, in theory (I'm guessing here), would have the benefit of staying interested in the game longer because it takes longer to get to the high tiers with the added requirement of cooperation from other people. In my opinion it was a sideways attempt at creating more social interaction. If this was done from the start, then it was the right thing to do. The sin was destroying all the hard work and efforts that people already put in for months and months, which did not respect their time.

I disagree. PvE element destruction was a terrible idea and would ruin the new player experience as they learned the game, crashing and all. If they'd implemented it just after I joined, I'd uninstall and be asking for a refund. There needs to be balance or the game is going to suck. A game that sucks is a game without subs. A game without subs is a dead game. Also, the more play-styles an MMO caters to, the more players/subs and content there will be.

Honestly, PvE destruction was why I grounded all of my ships and pretty much quit playing, before my sub ran out. If I ever renew, it will be because the PvE perma-death of cores is gone.

No, t wasn't a grind when I subbed. NQ made it a grind with .23. It was a bait and switch, which is considered false advertising.

Most people can tolerate a bit of grind, as long as there is progression. There is no progression in DU now because it's all grind, which is boring. This is why I let my sub run out. I might sub again if/when they lower the grind factor.
