I don't care about money of my subs.
I don't care about talent points because they are 100% passive nonsense.
I don't care about quanta or constructs.

I do care about my time. Time I've invested to this game.

I'm 66 years old, my time is slowly coming short.
Life is most valuable asset I have. Ever day, every hour i spend in this game I have less and less of my time left. It is not infinite.

Agree, but they really should just tell us whether there will be a wipe. If I know a wipe is coming I can just ignore all of my territories because they're going away anyway.

With the last Algorithm i rebuilt my speeder and repositioned almost every element.  i did extensive testing, and had no elements flagged at all.  Then i made a Blueprint and deployed a second version of it.  Did extensive testing with that one too, and had no elements flagged.

Then i compacted the speeder and went to Lacobus to recalibrate some MUs.  When i uncompacted it on Lacobus i got the warning message on the screen and had multiple elements flagged.  Compacted it again and went back to Alioth and it was all clear.

I also tried bringing the speeder to Lacobus docked to another ship, and same result, elements flagged on Lacobus and not flagged on Alioth.

So if you're testing the new Algorithm, don't assume that your ship is all clear just because it appears to be in build mode.

I am worried if this is "the last patch before launch". Or do we get final feature update at launch?

There are essential parts of the game still missing:
RDMS is totally missing the D = Duties part Energy is not implemented Player markets are missing Only one star-system Star gates+probes to find other systems and build star gate networks All these are "Big Game changers" and may create problems if introduced after launch.

Edit: And all missing pvp features

#1 If you talking about the start of beta, ores didn't run out anyway. Surface ore kept respawning, this might have been a bug.
#2 For anything other then the more rare ores, finite resources didn't matter, there was just so much of it. Although not always as easily mined as meganodes...
#3 The game wasn't ready for finite resources (besides the permanent storage requirements for tunnels of all the mined out tiles), it would mean that if/when resources run out in the actual game, there wasn't a mechanic in place to expand to other resources. Like moving to another system, exploration, warpgate building , etc. So when the resources are gone, the game dies or the resources need to be reset...

The game mechanics also just don't support finite resources in the core mechanics. Stuff can disappear, either through destruction, deletion or consumption. We also have no way to develop alternatives, like water based space fuels, etc.

Also keep in mind that the amount of resources per player is relatively limited compared to anything close to the real world. A normal human consumes a tiny amount of resources, a DU player consumes enormous amounts of resources. If every human on the planet would own a couple of Mammoth Tanker, it would be a different discussion... There have been so many compromises with any form of reality to make a game (instead of a very boring simulation) that the old way of finite resources would be unsustainable. That doesn't mean the current system is all that great either, but there is more room for improvement and probably easier implementation.

I do miss the ZEN of planetary mining!

Space market is good addition how ever not as NPC marketplace.

@NQ: Now you have a change to finally  introduce player-run markets and take first steps to real player run economy.

    Other note:
50KM no-build zone is way too small. It must also include deploying dynamic constructs.
Also it must have quite short "parking permit"
Otherwise it is no use to approach with heavy hauler.

Seems like we are back to the same underlying topic of "How can I keep other people from becoming too RICH" I have an idea how about just work as hard as they do....I am not talking about hacks, or exploits but any Legit Game Mechanic shall be used to the fullest without the approval from other players who might not like the way I play the Legit Game Mechanic. Capping other players growth only makes sense until you yourself are the one at the top than theses taxes, limitation and progress punishment tactics your thinking of will not be so appealing.

Whether a player accepts these aids, each player may decide for himself.
If the wipe were to be performed, a new player would still be helpless and would need an enormous amount of time to build up. The professional players will regain their wealth and opportunities very quickly because they have knowledge and experience and can prepare very well. So it means there is no fair equality in a wipe, because every minute, every hour and every day the gap becomes very big again between the regular player and the new player. So it's just a matter of time until new players are in the same situation as they are now. The situation will come up again and again, in 6 months, in a year in 5years...do you want to do a wipe every YEAR, just because again new players were lured into the game?

If you have lots of quanta to buy DAC:s it will help NQs economy.
Because someone needs to buy those DAC:s first from NQ using real money.
Only after someone has bought DAC:s from NQ with real money and imported those into game markets you can buy them using Quanta.

If schemas go away I'm in favor of full wipe.
Please revert also Territory taxes to old system => No territory tax but old system with Increasing fee for extra territories.
If territories with mining units need upkeep make MUs to consume Nitron.

This quite ill-considered and frankly one-sided towards wiping post by NQ has made it clear that NQ see a wipe as the “proper” way forward.  This has caused many subs to be stopped immediately and players to simply stop playing because it’s all going to be wiped anyway.

Two servers were never on the cards and even suggesting it is an insult on top of more insults. What of Thoramine? Is that considered another mistake by NQ to be removed just like the economy “mistakes” NQ let happen (like unchecked Aphelia missions) which has injected far more quanta into the system than a few minor exploits.

Regardless, the damage has been done. NQ should announce the final decision so that people can prepare for release (if they can) and if there is nothing to prepare, then expect  player counts to drop drastically until after release were a few will check in, see they still don’t like the game and quit again.

Think it may have to do with how expensive Exotic schematics will have to be with the current system. 1.4 Bil Quanta just for a single schematic, not to mention all the part schematics leading to the element...
