The biggest danger force i think is PIRACE, worse than grifer.

This. People are always asking for handholding because "mimimi it's too hard, I can't kill/do it" - so what, think of a way to do it yourself or actually talk to others and ask them....just because YOU can't do it, doesn't mean noone can

But isnt NQ have confirm about energy like electric. ? They have say it have been consider and likely will appear in game, but we dont know when yet :).

About building city, first we need to know why city appear in the first place. Like in real life, it is very tiresome to take resource from a far to your main facility or go to each place to gather then transport to your main base, so the city will appear to solve that. If the need raise there will be someone response to it.

When you die in DU you lose your inventory (half disappears and half is lootable) but keep your quanta and your master blueprints. (At least that was the original plan from NQ)
 
Lootablilty of DACs is a sticky topic. Originally NQ said they would *not* be lootable and there was a loud disproportional stink about it. So this has been discussed before...at length. You can wade though that topic here:
 
A point that was raised is that someone paid real money for the DAC and then it got stolen. Let's repeat that: A player paid for something and got no return for it. NQ is ethically and morally bound not to allow that. And no, crying "git good noob" does not somehow make that OK.
 
Solutions: 
The EvE system to bank PLEX is one solution but will take precious dev time. Another that was suggested is that DACs are unlootable until they are sold for the first time. The effect of this is that hoarding in-game bought DACs carry an inherent risk which I have no issue with. A player can pop them immediately for time or accept the risk of keeping them.

Now, imagine the potential of that in so many levels. That's a fact, even if we talk of legal pharmacological drugs in DU, created  by industrial organizations to combat certain possible deseases caused by, for instance, mining or getting exposed to certain substances or steams in planets, moons or asteoids. 
And I remember specially the movie Outland (1981), with Sean Conney, when miners in an asteoid are drugged by the chiefs to work harder and be more profitable to the company...

Seem like you think Org in DU will be some kind like a clan ? We will got a complex system called DRMs (Duty and Right Management System ) to manage a lot of thing in Org.
 
So in theory an Org maybe got a lot of member, but in reality, if any Org can manage to that point, can they hold the Unity, Stable, balance within the Org ? Very hard to do it, but if they can, why should we limit their ability ?

I think the idea limit player in an Guild will decrease the freedom too.

Also nobody force you to do anything. Big org got big influence but not infinite to cover the whole universe.

I'm dead set against small gates.
 
1. Star Gates or "wormhole quantum entanglement nodes" should be massive and rare and expensive for solar system hopping aka INTER-SOLAR SYSTEM travel.
2. INTRA-SOLAR SYSTEM travel should be some sort of engine on the actual vessel itself. So larger ships have these huge engines but smaller ships do not. Thus introducing carrier classes and LOCALIZING smaller ship activity.
 
Remember large ships are going to need full crews to fully function at 100%... this is the big big idea of space constructs that seems to be under-appreciated as to how consequential it will be.
 
Of course the big criticism is what will a lot of players stuck on one ship do that is boring? They'll be working together against other such ships or else being dominated if they resort to smaller ships in large clashes... of course lots of small ships LOCALLY are going to be useful to kick ass...
 
Again this all has impact on PvP which we all know is very impactful. And distances should never be uniform but FRACTAL.

But it true, it help a lot of interior, feel like a home sweet home. Have encourage to come back home from a long day of mining/journey trip.

We got timer force shield which will active when enemy decrease your shield to some point. 

You will have ability to prepare for WAR, we still dont know how many time will give you but i'm sure NQ will make it fair for everyone. Everyone have chance to fight, to def, to do.

Also we will got auto defense turret ... to some point, not too good but not too useless, give the attacker a hard time before the timer active.

NPC guard ? No thanks NQ have said: " Everything depend on the player themselve" . NQ give you time to prepare, auto turret to do some more damage and your base to def lmao.

So the chance for surprise attack to wipe out entire a claim land in one go is not gonna happen.
 
Also ... wont likely to happen. Do you know how a city born ? Depend on its position.

People cant hide in safe zone forever, the need for rare material will rise and so there will be out post city, and in the end grow into a big city because it stay on big vein of ore, intersection of many router, ...

You can mine and bring it back to safe zone but isnt it better to find a spot to refine it first or selling it than risking and increase your fuel consume ? So even it is dangerous, the need will still there.
