    Hey there!

    1. Yes, that's the plan.
    2. You can enter as many times as you wish, but please make sure you meet the requirements and that the information you submit is correct.
    3. Yes! If for example, you realize that after you submitted your entry you made a mistake, you're welcome to make modifications on it. We will be reviewing all entries that didn't meet requirements to see if any changes have been made. If you feel you made an error with your entry form (name of your speeder for example), then please submit it again just to make sure we have the correct info.
3a. This part is on the player to make sure their entry meets requirements, so check it twice or even thrice before submitting your entry.

    Good luck!

Getting the scroll bar to 2/3rds of the way to the bottom just to see the first unpinned comment is excessive.

Larger planets would be great for the exploration game loop.

I spent some time recently excavating one of the unknown wrecks that looked like a fallen space station.  I miss planet based ore hunting for sure.

If NQ could eventually implement a plasma physics inspired star and planet rotation system it would make the game so much more.  Weaker Lagrange points would be (and are) natural asteroid fields and affect direct flight paths depending on where that entire orbit disk is oriented relative to the orbit disk of your current location.  Distances would change over time within a set range.  The default gravity point would be the host star(s) instead of nearest planet switching to the nearest Lagrange point when it becomes more pronounced than default gravity.  Describing it this way just make me think about what comes after XL cores; Warp gates become random S(tar)-Class Cores.

i think i have more issues with the whole rotation system, slightly more realism would be largely welcomed. The size of these planets is no issue for me as long they are over a minimal threshold. But it would be nice to get ores back

This button already exists, it is just in the wrong menu.  "Queue All Required" in the Talent Point menu.

Edit:  That isn't to mean they put it in the wrong place, rather the functionality being requested already has an example in game.

Wyndle reacted to Zeddrick in @NQ are the brakes now staying as they are for launch or are you going to change them ?
During the PTS weekend I went into build mode on a starter outpost and got the element stacking error.  But only once though.  It is, indeed, very broken.

Even without the stackingnsystem it is irritating to click on blue elements and get errors, forcing builds to be trial and error.

You'd think, though, that if ever there was a good time to change the stacking rules for brakes it would be st the same time as a wipe so we don't have to fix a bunch of existing constructs we bought from ship sellers.

I managed to get a response from NQ and they said that BP's will stay with the character.

I'm going to take their info on this one instead of yours if thats ok this time.   Based on what you are saying the game might not even launch on 27th September, so going with that kind of mindset is pretty self defeating.

Something else to keep in mind is that for each time a NQ* name appears in conversation it significantly increases the number of people directly talking to that individual.  I have been guilty of this as well.

I try to be playful and helpful on the forums.  There is an infinitely tiny chance I may sometimes consider a tiny bit of trolling in good fun, but you didn't hear that from me. I've been in jobs where everybody wore no less than 5 hats each.  No matter how much you accomplish there is always a handful of other important things that don't get the attention they need.  None of us can make NQ's job easier but you can be sure dozens of people will let them know they missed a spot.

For a lot of the NQ staff, and especially at this stage of the process, the choice will be between reading/responding, or fixing the game. Depending on how much of a crunch culture there is, and how much of a deathmarch it has been, exhaustion and burnout are also a factor.

For the person/people who’s job is actually community relations, this is less true - but they still may be overstretched or have multiple roles, particularly if resources are constrained.

On the whole I think we have to cut these people some slack. Most of the time they will be doing the best they can with the cards they’ve been dealt. If there is fault, it will be with the senior management. Either for the way they’ve set up the structures, or just for trying to do too much with too few resources.

After the recent PTS and asteroids bugged (we built a DSAT) and alien cores not showing it would be helpful to know for people who are planning if roids will be there on day 1 or not until the cycle appears on the Saturday as before.

    Can NQ confirm the situation?

Yes, a long, long time ago, in a different galaxy, I posted the same suggestion about the sliding glass door. Therefore I support this renewed suggestion. And I also support your other suggestions as they are good ideas.

To be more specific on the fountain effect:  a set of visual effects (straight, curve, splash, etc.).  with a reflective response (amazing for light wizards).  Do not limit it to static cores.  This would be amazing to add to high tier builder's ships and go a long way to improving the feeling of life being put into the game.

I would love to see a few different "sliding glass" door elements.  Perhaps also a model that accepts some form of image/SVC as a frosted/etched/painted effect even if it must be on a non-moving part.

I would love to see one or more iris door element.

I would love to see more animated elements with a water fountain effect being the top of that list.

Our building contest starts tomorrow, Tuesday 6th of September at 14:00 UTC!

All Noveans are invited to bring their creativity and building skills to the forefront to celebrate the end of beta. If your build meets our specifications, it could be included in a future iteration of our available starting outposts and speeders for new players.*

Dispensers with elements and honeycomb will be available at the very center of the Exchange for the duration of the contest. It ends on Thursday 22nd of September at 14:00 UTC.

Be sure to submit your constructions before that deadline, through a google form which we’ll share tomorrow!

You can check the contest’s requirements here.

    * Please keep in mind that if your constructs are selected for the contest, they will not be protected by Digital Rights Management. You however won’t need to turn DRM off when creating your construct for the contest.

Enough with the conspiracy theory that you share with a few people.

If you were at Novaquark, you would have seen that the decision about the wipe has been taken quite recently and make the launch much more tricky than if it was decided to have no wipe. For a long time, it was thought that "Magic Blueprints" could have been the solution to make a very partial (and nearly painless) wipe. The problem was, after careful reviewing, it would in fact brings a ton of problems in terms of balance, and also many loopholes that were hard and long to fix. So It was a painful decision to make, even on the Novaquark team side, but a necessary and healthy one. This promise was not broken with a light heart. If it could have been avoided, this road would have been taken, the easiest way to proceed being "no wipe at all", but far from being the healthiest one for the long term of the game. The Novaquark team has absolutely no motive to frustate a part of the Community for no reason. Ideally, we would prefer to make everyone happy.

However, you're not part the company, so you didn't know what really happened or what has been discussed internally and you prefer to present your (wrong) assumptions into facts.  Between that, and the slandering regarding your statement not so long ago that a player need to be "friend" with a Dev to make changes happen in Dual Universe (based on zero evidence), you're truly putting a lot of efforts to paint the Novaquark team as a bunch of evil, manipulative persons. If this is your vision of being constructive, well... Spoiler: it's not.

Furthermore, as this thread has been necroposted from more than one year, it will be locked.

The blueprint system is divided into two parts.  When you save a copy of your construct it generates a Core BP to store the data.  You cannot place a construct directly from a Core BP, instead you make a usable copy just called a blueprint.  A Core BP has unlimited use (as many copies as you can afford) but a blueprint is a single use item used to place the construct.
