    Warp right now is perfectly balanced. The cost of warp cells to haul cargo is significant.  Crippling warp just to make it even easier for some psychopath to grief someone is hardly 'balanced'.  I fail to see what could possibly be added to the game by doing so.

    I honestly don’t see the point in posting suggestions any more. Can anyone point to a suggestion that was ever implemented?
     
    not even XS space tanks. 
     
    NQ have made it abundantly clear that they are the masters of their game and their UI experience is apparently flawless… They clearly need nobody to tell them what to do. 
     
    These last few months, every time I think “what if” I just stop myself right there. Absolutely no point, torturing myself, I realize…

    I might as well just enjoy the game for what it is.
     
    wishing for stuff just leads me to years of disappointment. Same with every game I’ve played (except Cities Skylines and Sim City 4 which never disappoint). 
     
     I will still criticise NQ for their nonsensical seeming, self-sabotage, though. 
     
    Still, I suppose, as a spot of catharsis, this kind of post is still useful. 
     
    and do you know what? Since I stopped worrying,  I came back to the game and am really enjoying it again.  Weird.

    @NQ, I don't want to state the obvious, but if you need more cash:
    - enable Recruit a Friend program
    - in-game cash shop for skins etc
    - launch on Steam/Epic whatever
    - I'm pretty sure Epic would be open to some kind of deal..

    Can I also create the trees myself and distribute them in the area or will they only be set once again in the world? Would like to embellish some buildings with it, there was once a forest that was cleared by construction work. replanting would be a great tool now!

    No... rotating engines when, NQ has been teasing me for two or three years now? C'mon, get with the times.  ?
     
    Surprised the line delete tool wasn't a thing earlier. This actually reminds me of a kickstarter (I think) video, weren't we supposed to also be able to create voxels with soils, terraforming and whatnot?

    Hello Noveans,

    The upcoming 0.24 Update includes a plethora of enhancements to elevate the look and playability of Dual Universe. Today, we’re going to take a closer look at two of these: biomes improvements and new voxel features.
     
    BIOMES IMPROVEMENTS

    In this first phase of a significant, ongoing graphics update, we are improving the biomes of our planets to make them more visually diversified. Combining Speedtree, a procedural generation software, with the Quixel Megascans assets library for the textures and meshes, we now have many new tree models!
     
    The Quixel Megascans library also provided many new rock models, which our artist team has then reworked.
     
    Moreover, to achieve maximum realism, our ground textures now utilize scans of authentic terrestrial soils. In addition, we have improved the rendering to increase the textures’ visual quality and performances even further.

    These new rock assets will replace all the previous ones and add variety to the environments.
     

     

    We have a new night lighting! To offer a better visual by nighttime, the tree models have been calibrated in order to fit the new night lighting.
     

     

    All tree and rock assets are placed in the game world using procedural generation spawning.
     

    These scans ground textures are the materials from Quixel Megascans used to replace previous ground textures.
     
    NEW VOXEL FEATURES

    One of the most compelling aspects of Dual Universe is its fully editable world. Through the art of manipulating voxel structures known as voxelmancy, the possibilities for channeling your creativity are endless. Our goal is to provide the players with as many tools as possible to edit voxel shapes, and we want these tools to be user-friendly and efficient.
     
     
    The suite of voxel tool shapes is now even sweeter with the addition of the cone shape. Using it is similar to making cylinders. Use the mousewheel to increase the size of the base, and drag up or down to increase or decrease the height.
     
     
    The new line tool allows you to select an area using any of the available voxel shapes and then hit the Alt key to delete them. Hopefully, you will now find it less tedious to remove voxels than with the previous system!

    Rotation isnt coming. NQ stated that years ago because of elements in space and collision if the planet rotates and your ship is in its orbit around the sun.
    Yes we should be able to make npc's in factories. npc sitting on a chair or npc laying on a bed. We have bio-mass ingame, add some iron, carbon and oxygen and we are off.
    If lua can input answers it would be great! like choose answer a, b or c. Then we can make a 1 person adventure in a living game!!
    Also have a kind of 'dispenser' option for the npc-element. So when you are making an adventure you have to 'trade' stuff with the right npc for you to progress. Talk about creating missions, uh-huh uh-huh!!
     
    They better add this in the 0.25 update!

    Theres nothing to defer away from guy, everyone here knows BOO was clearly allowed to do what they did I don't think its a god damn secret this game is an OPEN WORLD PARTIALLY PVP GAME, that aside most people complaining are complaining towards the integrity of the org who seems to think its cooler to crash the party then to be a part of it which is counter productive to the community. Sorry I called you trolls out for being just that. No one watched and said "hey I wanna pvp now because of what BOO did" all you did was turn more people off in the community to the thought of trying it because people like you make it a toxic experience, I'll stick to my warp drive till Starbase comes around thanks. To those of you in the comments bringing up EVE, no one cares that you pvp'd in EVE. Being good at pvp in this game or EVE is like being the fastest guy in fat camp. No ones impressed enjoy your sh*tty trophy and stfu.

    Sanctuary moon is a shithole though. If I were stuck on that bland boring place for PvE I just wouldn't play. Why do you want to force ppl who want to play a different way into playing a lesser game?
     
    Sounds like you're a PvPer who wants to force PvE types to be victims by forcing them to play in a little corner that's so restricting and offers nothing so they cave and enter the PvP zone as fodder. Same old selfish PvP arguments.

    I would love them to add a timer, so if anyone leaves a ship outside their own territory for longer than xxx it opens it up for salvage. Would add a huge amount of gameplay and clean up the markets.

    You can build a space capable ship with nanocrafter without schematics.
     
    Cool looking ore miner ship capable of lifting like 1-2kt of ore to space ~= 15mil. That's about 700kl of t1 ore sold to bots with new prices.
     
    You don't have to craft everything yourself, that's not how the game is supposed to be played.
     
    If you want to craft something, pick a single item, purchase schematic for it and craft it 24/7 (buy ore, sell the product). We are playing MMO not single player game with multiplayer option like SE.

    doxxing is really not a fun thing and no one should fear the online mob just for showing up to work.  
     
    Linked is especially bad for throwing up all your personal info and not having great tools to control what is or isn't public.
     
    it is way too easy to use that info to track back to home addresses because it gives your full name and general location. 
    under settings->visibility, restrict "who can see your last name" -- this helps prevent address lookups and should absolutely be the default. under "edit public profile", disable for non-logged in members -- this helps prevent low effort search engine lookups targeting an org under 'account preferences', set "showing profile image" to "network only" if you don't want randos seeing your face  I'm sure i'm missing something, but linkedin's privacy settings are trash. they'll sue people for scraping public data, but will make zero effort to actually protect it or make it easy for users to control what is or isn't public. 
     
    TLDR: linkedin sucks, set your last name to not be publicly viewable, and treat your full name like sensitive information

    You can express your upset with the game and speculate about us all you'd like, but leave windows to our personal lives OUT of this arena. Please.

    I don't want to come to work worried about what I'll see of myself here - some of us may be public facing, but I implore all of you to treat us with respect. Respect our privacy, please.

    Soooo, when NQ introduces a NEW solar system, what kind of new planets do we want?
     
    - Gas giants. Lots of atmosphere (+30 km) and coming to land at 2.5 g or so and strong winds like jupiter. Many clouds. Mining would be heavy and difficult! And a real reason for space elevators with a market at the top.
    - More planets rings. With the asteroids update, this could be done and we dont have to land.
    - Continents. So we know where we are when we look at the map. Now those puddles look unrealistic for a planet.
    - A real 3d space-map, so we can actually fly around a zone to get somewhere
    - Asteroid field, like that part we have in our real solar system between Mars and Jupiter
    - Cluster of planets and moons, between there is atmo. Its something that ive seen in the comic 'Storm, the pirates of Pandarve'
    - A large Gate between the solar systems.. they could be like 7500 SU away. Its flyable but will take weeks of drifting
    - Nebulas with low vision when you are inside or also take slow element damage
    - Comets
     
    And give us xs space fuel tank plz!

    I've read through a few comments regarding a black market. I think it is a great concept. My idea of it would go something like this:
     
    -Black markets are the only place that stolen items can be sold (Ships destroyed in PVP, cargo looted, and any other form of theft that may be implemented)
     
    -They are located in locations to encourage pvp between other pirates and/or 'good guys'
     
    -Perhaps some sort of 'illegal' items can be introduced such as space dust or moon shine, perhaps it increases pilot or mining stats etc.... XD
     
    -Maybe there are also illegal ship parts, schematics, etc... that can only be purchased at a black market
     
    -other things!
