This is the biggest misconception about PVP.
radar range is 2 SU. As long as you don’t fly in a straight line between planets, your chances of getting ganked are negligible. There just aren’t enough pirates out there to cover the possible routes. Space is huge.
 
Asteroids.. so imagine, there are dozens of asteroids out there. And the travel time between them is 20 minutes to an hour or more, assuming you had them all mapped out by proximity. Now imagine you are a pirate. And you know there is someone out there mining one of these asteroids. But you don’t know which one. Are you going to spend your whole allotment of playtime for that day flying from one empty asteroid to the next, hoping to catch a miner. ?
If you are mining an asteroid close to the safezone, or an exotic, there is a good chance that a pirate will come along eventually. There are lots of people out here in disposable haulers getting ore. Getting caught by pirates is rare. This is experience btw, not theory. 
 
I am  not interested in pvp (in this game anyway), so I don’t pvp. The effect of pvp on the non pvp population is dramatically overblown imo.
 
-in before “ I can’t get plasma without joining legion”.  None of the people who typically complain about pvp have any use for that anyway.

Hadron has a pretty comprehensive circle set, not sure about 45s though.

I think you're confusing the rarity of winning 1st place in a land race.  With the rarity of winning anything at all.
 
Just because you can't win 1st place, doesn't mean there isn't still a prize for 2nd, 3rd, 4th place etc.
 
Those 2nd and 3rd place territories are still out there.  And NQ has promised more races in the future.
 
If you decide not to join the race because you don't think you have a chance at 1st place anymore, that's on you.
 
 

To clarify- this confuses people all the time; HQ status is there to protect your main tiles against loss due to TAX debt. Inactive Asset Requisition is there to remove abandoned constructs (and tiles I believe) from the world.

Recently I’ve realized it doesn’t matter, because they are steering this thing into a ditch no matter what we say, and I’ve turned sniping NQ whenever it suits.

Yeah, I didn't sub for pets either, but one of the ones I have is pretty cute (the one with flapping wings and XXXS AGG pulsors). The other one not so much.

Low hanging fruit alert! Next patch the docking shield is going to triple in size.

It would just be wholesome and community-like. Let us right-click any construct we see and have the option to give it a "like". Maybe have the option to "like" anonymously, but being able to see who gave your construct attention would feel pretty cool. And yet another flex-metric, naturally

Shutting off the LAST faucet isn’t going to make the game better. The ore faucet was wide open for almost all of beta and the game was much healthier then. If they really want this game to thrive, they should let the players play, instead of making it a struggle.

So when the doors close at NQ, where are you going to go work next?

Also it was not highly abused. This is a pure mental misconception.  If this was the case we would see allot more Ilmenite on the market then columbite an rhodonite and vanadiite.  All the numbers look to be about the same.  If this was the case we would see allot more Cobaltite and Cryolie then Gold and Kolbeckite on the market.  This is not the case the numbers are about the same.  Sure gold prices are a bit higher, but thats always been the case for gold. 
 
And if the thought that calibrating like this was adding to much more into the game. When the new planets get added in All those calibration points are now gong to be put towards full flowers which will add in 10 times the amount that this "abused" mechanic added in. I mean unless NQ does something crazy like only adding 3 or 4 flowers to these new planets. 
 
People need to stop worrying about what other people have, and worry about what they have. 

You guys are trying to create a solution to a non existent problem.  There is what ~5 million liters of quarts for sell at less then 24 quanta a L. With an average of about ~20 qunta a liter. So even if a player bought every single bit of it and resold it to the bots at 25. thats only a 5 quanta profit. So they would only be making 25 Million quanta for every bit of quartz that is being sold. 
 
Stop worrying about how much quanta is in other peoples wallets and worry more about what you can do with how much quanta you have in your own wallet. 

We need another wipe and terrain reset. Some of those cretins that made ships and wrote Lua are still around. And they are sucking up all the ore. If there isn’t going to be any ore left for newbs to mine we need to keep releveling the playing field until there isn’t any advantage left.

You guys have given up on this game, thats fine, I appreciate your perspective.. but being thats the case just let us who remain work on it kthanks.
