    To celebrate the end of Beta, we had invited every Novean to enter an outpost or a speeder to our ‘Build Your Legacy’ contest, where the winners would see their creations added as an option for players to pick in the game’s prologue. 
     
    We want to thank each and every Novean who entered and congratulate you on the stunning quality of builds that you submitted. It was a difficult task to pick the winners, to the point that in the future we may add some of the runners up into the game as well.

    this needs to be addressed before launch, as it is now you have ships in the UEF store with airbrakes stacked on top of each other and obstructed by other elements and honeycomb, is it staying like this or changing, this really needs to be finalized before launch

    I too did change my ships to follow the "new rules", for no reason it seems now. This *is* a topic NQ needs to address and you're completely right in asking the question.

    We get it man, you're mad you can't sit on hundreds of tiles solo anymore. You need a better way to work through your grief than spamming the forums constantly.

    I have to say....that JC's "vision" is both the reason most people started playing the game...and the reason it has generally failed.
     
    It's like if I decided that I had a great idea for a new car. It would be fully electric, but with just as much endurance as gas. And it would be cheap and easy to make. And self-driving, of course. 
     
    Is that a great idea with a lot of "potential"...?
     
    No, it's an idiotic idea because I have no experience engineering cars. My ideas about what would make the next great vehicle are irrelevant because they aren't backed by experience or real-world proof that my idea actually works. 
     
    The same is true with JC and DU.
     
    His idea was not based on experience or real-world proof that his "cutting edge tech" would work...he had no experience in gaming at all. 
     
    He sold everyone on the idea of DU, but it was never more than an idea -- it never became working plans. As a result, NQ still thinks it's okay to iterate, throw it up, and adjust it later as if DU is an early alpha developer sandbox and we ought to understand "that's how things are done". 
     
    This isn't how it's done....
     
    First comes the idea, then comes the design, then comes implementation. DU is what happens when you try to develop your plan, ideas, and implementation all at the same time....it doesn't work for a complex game. 
     
    This is usually the very first thing novice game devs learn....but JC didn't want to learn the craft or listen to the voices he hired that understood it.

    yea i guess now you put it like that i understand but something needs to be done you cant leave every tom, dick and harrys tile claimed, look at alioth 40,000 plus claimed damn we dont even have no where near that amount of  players so how do u suggest we get them tiles unclaimed before or even if this game goes live ? if you like it or not the tax systems works but no matter what people will complain about what ever happens

    While I don't disagree with the changes to Airbrakes, can you explain why Demeter is the time to implement this? A time where we are all already experiencing a game changing shift in the way we will play Dual Universe, with entire systems being implemented and changed, why would adding an previously un-announced change that will go and cause the majority of constructs to not function properly, be something you thought should be included with Demeter?
