Dangers would only stress the server when they are activated and i suppose you are not meant to dig out 100 gas pockets at once.
You dont have to care about the servers so much that's the developers job. In the idea box we are supposed to support them with ideas, don't worry they will only include ideas they can(Because hardware limitations).

I support the drill ship idea. I dont understand why they want only manual mining (i dont want to get bored, thx).

I would like a drill ship. Not one that is insanely overpowered, but a drill ship would be nice because it'd be more immersive.
But the mining dangers would strain the server. If they could do that I'd be happy.

To be fair, let the aliens be some sort of alien cyborg tethered to a "dungeon" template found across planets. Tie some Dark Souls method of storytelling, with terminals you decrypt to tell the tale. Just don't make the whole thing a "cutscene". Add mystery and go for the "keep looking into the abyss" juggular of RP/PvE.

I think it's safe to say that everyone on here would.

That said, I think you'll be very pleased to know that this has already been part of the confirmed core game mechanics for well before I can remember

The way I see content: missions, dev provided events, scripted events and so on. Tools have to be provided, and ruins are category "what there is to explore". What players do with those ruins should be up to them and not determined by the devs

Well, yeah, the Core Overload may need 10 seconds to happen, so you would have to drone fly a rocket, which would have to be built like a ship for a one way trip, have fuel in it, then, have the operator prime the detonation and send he missile near the area you want the explosion to take effect.

This sounds too expensive to be productive to be honest :|

Then there will be a way to create guided missiles YAY. tought you have to time the explosion perfectly.

You make some good points. I think a key factor as well is the time it would take to build the various weapons systems and the ships that are capable of transporting them. Even if construct vs construct combat was included at launch, that process could easily take a month or two, if we go by what the developers have said. We will see.

Regardless of the reason, I agree that the initial period of peace (or at least limited hostilities) will help people get settled and the game world get on it's feet. There will still be avatar vs avatar combat and that will keep things interesting.

Bounties will not be abused if these ideas are considered:
    - the death of a hunted bounty is less favorable than the reward given to the hunter
    - bounties are used to kill players, therefore punish them

There will have to be a mode like this. If people want to design the kind of epic ships that I'm sure they do they won't be able to without a "creative" mode. I for one, intend to make some fairly elaborately shaped hulls that will require a good amount of time to get right and I would hate to have to do that in the world.

I have a few ideas regarding interactive maps/star maps.

    Star Map
Star Map is stored electronically in your Nanopack All players start will no data in their SM Data is added to the SM through scanning  Data can be selectively uploaded to a map data file These data files can be sold or shared with other players Features
Manually created POI’s can be created to mark discovered constructs, or any other location of interest POI’s include an optional description When uploading, you can select which discoveries you want to include or do a complete upload The SM will keep track of the first player known to have discovered the locations on a given players map
Discoverer can opt to have their name undisclosed
Data from multiple players can be merged onto one data chip
Data points on your map that were purchased from other players cannot be resold unless allowed through RDMS
Using the RDMS you can prohibit rival organizations from purchasing your data Automatically collects data on locations of planets, resources, and organization territories
    Potential Effects
This could add gameplay for intelligence agents, who try to pinpoint the last known location of a target with the POI system Players buying a unknown map, will have to investigate POI’s at their own risk, because they could be falling into a trap Eventually most planetary data around Alioth will become common knowledge, as competing explorers are continually adding new data to the markets and the value of the older data decreases Some data files will sell better than others because of the usefulness of their POI's Some players explore unknown areas to make money on the open markets,  others will do so on contract, and some will do it just to benefit their organization.

    Creative mode - nope.

Designer mode - definitely yes. You will be able to work on your blueprints in some kind of virtual space.

In my eyes these two are the same, but what developers thought was simply that the game will have only one shard, one mode, so there will be no other separated mode like Creative. But it doesn't mean there won't be same functionality that Creative mode would offer, it will just be as a tool inside the game, not standing aside. This game needs players to be able to build more complex construct blueprints and they already confirmed that.

While the feeling and the theoretical side of this is appealing, I think in reality it wouldn't work well.  People in Alpha should be focused on smooth gameplay finding bugs, not what cool thing should I build so it is an ancient relic in game release.

Alright so Dual Universe is going to have an underlying secret according to their kickstarter, those who fund at the Kyrium level ($7809) will aid in developing of "Development of a DU Secret".

Now of course everything that follows here is just speculation.

JC is an expert in the latest Robotics and AI, I believe that there will be an AI in the game which may have its own objectives. This AI would likely be unlike anything we have in any other game, and might even learn for itself to make its own decisions. When the game is released, don't trust the AI anymore than you have to.

Here is a quote from the lore article here.

"There’s something schizophrenic, even bipolar about this AI. Depending on whether she’s addressing you or the phantom crew, whether she’s handling the ship or coaching you, she adopts a different tone and a different vocabulary. It’s not just that she’s adapting, that she manipulates you to push you to your optimum mental and physical health – which I accept quite willingly – she seems to be pursuing a greater, more secret goal, which is not just a matter of a successful colonization or our survival. Something else is at work in her that I can’t seem to understand or articulate."

I believe that this is the secret that they are talking about, of course this is a merely speculation, there is no proof.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? If I'm just making up crap please let me know.

Say bye bye to the concept of banks though, cause money is also digital and can't be dropped on death. Also, say bye bye to mercenaries hired to protect people delivering DACs to buyers as well. In general, bye bye to much of the emergent gameplay. So yeah, it's quite a big deal.

It should be a very short ranged distance as well. before it falls off. And if its easy to mute it would be hard to exploit since most players won't be very close to each other or close enough to hear each other all the time. And if some annoying guy is screaming into the mic you could either walk away or mute him.
