    This is the reason. Unfortunately it would seem the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing, or in this case, has done.

    These are ridiculous suggestions and overly simplistic. Small ships aren't supposed to fight large ships (alone anyway), but they should be faster, more maneuverable, and harder to hit. Weapons should absolutely not do the same damage all across the board, which is why tracking should be the modifier that evens the playing field between the different size ships.

    no it doesn't support your argument at all. subs drop because there is nothing to do, or because ppl are bored. or because schematics are a nightmare to them....you don't know why they leave. it's just your personal bias that you think it supports your argument, which is a logical fallacy.
     
    Again, pvp != griefers. don't conflate the two as they have NOTHING in common. If you constantly conflate those two then you constantly paint pvp players the wrong way
     
    As someone else pointed out earlier:
    PVP finally gets some attention after 7 YEARS and it needs WAY MORE than that as it still is a pretty boring and weak pillar of the game. Every other pillar and aspect of the game received way more attention and love than pvp - which is fine, because you first need a foundation first (and tbh that foundation is still not there but that's another topic).
     
    DU was always meant to be a FFA pvp game with the vast majority of the game being in the pvp zone - and only a small portion of it being in safe zones. Those got extended already, which is totally fine. All that pvpers ask is a fun game where conflict over ressources, politics, wars and interesting, engaging, emergent and fun gameplay prevails. Which can't happen when everybody can do everything in the safe zone.

    Y'all out here actin' like we need the PvE crowd, like, at all. Not only will we PvP against ourselves, we will do whatever PvE necessary (mining and resource control) to further that end.

    I think you are taking it the wrong way.
    You can always risk a small ship in PvP.

    For 3 million quanta you have a small full space cargo ship S.

    In 2 hours of playing on Alioth you can farm for + 10 million quanta.
    Pvpers are not on the asteroids 24 hours a day. By playing intelligently you can find some that are not busy. Of course from time to time you will lose a ship.
     
    But now that you mine on asteroids in under an hour you can bring back an Alioth for over 20 million quanta!
    The loss of a 3 million ship does not seem like the end of the world.
    Otherwise please, the pvpers have nothing on the game.

    Asteroids are the first time that we have resources in the PvP area and you already want to take them away from us ...

    I am not asking for the end of the safe zone, not asking for non-pvp in the game.
     
    Do not dislike what many think, re-read the kikcstarter and the different devblogs from a couple of years ago.
    NEVER did he mention all of those safe areas in the game.

    It will have to be hard core and full loot.
    You have the best chair the PvErs. Let us enjoy our gameplay crumbs ...
    Otherwise the asteroids of level 1 to 2 allow to have ore from tier 4 to tier 5.
    I don't understand why you absolutely want to harvest T5 ore and selfishly destroy the PvP gameplay of hundreds of players.
     
    You don't seem to have time to warp beacon, you don't go to PvP zone to need item T5 (no exotic weapon, no need for scrap for pvp repairs ...)
    You complain that you can't do things that you never plan to do anyway ...

    Also you can still make Quanta mining.  Or running missions inside the safe zone.
     
    Up until now there was zero PVP content.  Now they have one thing.  Let's just let them have it maybe

    The sizes are likely quite intentional as a soft limiting factor on how many can fit, or in the case of shield generators, what they can reasonably fit on.

    Where are you getting this "no fix" ideation? We have a repair skill, and supporting repair talents, all of which can take place during combat. It's a perfectly reasonable gameplay limitation to not be able to potentially change the entire configuration of the ship while in the middle of a firefight. Elements generally have three "lives" before they are beyond repair. There is absolutely no reason to have said element replaced while fighting. Like many games that have PvP, once the battle begins you are locked in on changing your loadout.

    Has it been confirmed which part of this talent is bugged? It states a maximum 50% reduction of capacity in the description, but only gives 25% at Grade 5. Is it the talent or the text that is the problem?

    Going to be completely honest here, this does absolutely nothing for me when considering so many core gameplay issues are either broken or completely missing altogether. 
     
    I realize the art team behind this and the features development team likely share very little overlap, but teasing something like this is tone-deaf all the same. I *want* to play this game, but there is hardly anything of substance to do outside of mining and building. 
     
    I'm sitting here starving for engaging gameplay loops and they're saying, "Hey look at how we color coded engines! Pretty neat, huh?"
