  1. hi, here would be my question to NQ team:

You write: - A complete wipe (except blueprints) with solutions to allow old players to quickly rebuild their favorite constructs through various means.

This would favor only builders, the people who made industry and grind the quantas for schematics are not considered. This is an unfair advantage for master builders. Also people who have made advanced Lua scripts will be favored since they have local backups.

For me there are only two options, complete wipe including blueprints (where Lua scripters still have a big advantage) or no wipe.

One more note from me, I joined DU at the end of the alpha because I didn't want to play alphas anymore and where did I end up, in an alpha, I joined because they promised a persistent world. As an entrepreneur you should make final decisions and not hesitate, then the customers know where they stand.

Can you please hire a guy with the only job being to point out how something might be shit?  This game has issues, you come up with solutions, those solutions however often are flawed and turn out worse than the issue they try to fix. The dedicated "pointing out how this could be shit"-guy, would help.

I can agree with that, such a guy could really help .

I never understand why the ground did not regenerate over time  it never seamed like a good idea two

me and at this point I think NQ is just trying two take the easy way out  rather than developing this

It could also be that they have the option, but didn't want to do it to push the players in a different direction. It's strange that they didn't think of this feature.

  4. Dear Developers.

What I don't understand is why NQ isn't able to include a soft terrain wipe feature that allows mining underground without any permanent impact on the database.

Another voxel game, Empyrion, that has implemented this.

The difference with the current terrain reset in Dementer is that the terrain around the base, and even in the base itself, is not changed. So if you have an underground base, the terrain in and around that base is not reset.

But no, they remove a well-functioning game mechanic to switch to the autominer, which I have to constantly calibrate to pay my taxes with the meager yield.

If NQ doesn't have such a feature they should program it and bring back underground mining, that would be a positive addition to the autominer.

So personally I don't enjoy the game at the moment, so please make something that covers a wide range of play styles, only then can the game be a success.

There has already been quanta reset.
There has also been a reset of the core limit (I lost a lot of things there) and there will now be a reset or limit on the number of territories a player has acquired (I will lose billions of quanta that I paid for the territorial revenue there).

There are a lot of unfair things in the game, and I think every player has at least once found that they didn't like something about it.

Do I like it? NO! But by now I expect everything, so at least I can't be surprised. I would also like to see better communication with NQ and at the same time compensation for players who lose something because of the changes, at least for those players who have a real subscription and not for those who are sitting on free beta keys.

So my Keys was not free, I bought them with my Patron package.

I think it's wrong that you have to claim a tile first and there is a 14 day delay before I can clear a core.
I am a miner and a vulture. I regularly fly around looking for abandoned cores and clean them up. So now I would first have to clain a tile (pay tile claim costs and tax) without knowing what is in the cores. With the risk that the existing owner will come back and take everything away.
Make the time a little longer after not paying the tax and as soon as the tile is unclaind, the cores are immediately abandoned and lootable.

There should be no reward without risk, I think if they claim abandoned land they should even pay extra without knowing what is in the piñata.

The game has gotten better since 0.23, but as I said, my friends won't be back. So I want their stuff. It's really that simple. And I'll be able to get it, if I'm there first.

So my friends gave me their right to their property when they quit and wanted to see if the gameplay improved. I take care of it if they come back unless they tell me explicitly that I can take their stuff, that's what friends do.

  8. Here are my questions for NQ:

Will the sanctuary moon also be taxed in the future if they want to create a game world for hundreds of thousands of players, the space on the moon will not be enough.

Is planned to tax space station and in what form.

What will happen to the owner's dynamic constructs located on territories if the tax is not paid.

Will there be a safe place or mechanics for paying subscribers to keep their stuff safe.

What bad things will happen if we don't pay the taxes.

Do they really want to penalize players who can't spend that much time on the game.

  9. Well, where to start, maybe with the definition of play:

Play is an activity that is performed without conscious purpose for pleasure, for relaxation, for the joy of itself and its result.

I chose Dual Universe as a game and not as a job.

Here was a text wall I spare you I tried to reduce it to a few points.

If Dementer Patch comes like it did on the PTS server, I will pack my things and go to the Sanctuary Moon.
I will not buy any more ships because I don't know if they will work tomorrow.
Also, I can't recommend the game or rather the working simulation at the moment.
I am annoyed that I invested the time and continued to play/work after the 0.23 patch to provide myself with schematics.
I will wait and see if the game survives.

Maybe NQ should hire someone who knows about game design.

To all others I wish a relaxing busy game.

  10. So I understand this correctly, if you are a player with an underground base and come back into the game after months, NQ will clear your base of terrain (using a ticket). But since the player has not played for months his tile is no longer existent due to missing tax payment, and does this also apply to the sanctuary moon too. Has the new tax, also effect on dynamic constructs.

Will space stations also be taxed in the future, or asked differently can you take a longer break in the game if you have an active sub, is there a place where I am freed from annoying tax payments to just see how the game develops. Otherwise that would be a point where I would stop playing DU.

  11. Yes, as implemented, the players who left the game because of the schematics do not vote here. Makes the schematics researchable, for example.

It should be possible for new players to have a small industry for their first builds to learn the game mechanics as well.

The skills for the industry also need an overhaul, I have to learn every shit to build special products that contradicts a specialization on products, because I can manufacture everything later anyway.

And some nice gameplay features so the game doesn't feel like work, I have enough of that in real life.

Punishment?  No not punishment, but motivation to stay active or store your stuff properly if you are going to take an extended vacation.

In that case my motivation would be to quit the game and NQ wouldn't get a sub from me anymore. The motivation for this game for me is that it should be an "A PERSISTENT SINGLE-SERVER UNIVERSE". I have no problem with having a long term sub in the future. But I decide when I want to play. When I leave a construct on the market, then park it in a virtual garage, e.g. If my constructs are released for salvage work, NQ will no longer receive any money from me. It's that simple for me.
