Alien core and PVP bugs don't match

@NQ-Admin Hi, it's important.

Can you put all the alien core in pause (production/lockdown) until PVP was fix? (Radar + Transponder + Anynewbug)

We can't fight in good conditions, we can't have fun or enjoy this content (and it's the only PVP available atm) and with the wipe no decision + all those PVP bugs, we just lost all our motivation.

Do something, don't be passiv, thx.

This needs addressed immediately. The game is actually unplayable right now.

I think NQ is so sure that there will be a wipe that they don't care what happens now. Sadly

PvP is literally unplayable. This back-end radar change broke more than it could hope to do good. This needs fixing ASAP. No transponders was one thing but not even remotely half as bad as the current radar situation

You're going to keep playing, and you will enjoy it. Mandatory Fun! If you don't keep being awesome and testing PVP for everyone than NQ can't get the precious data to fix their servers, it's only been weeks of "fixes", and potentially months more are needed. You will test it. you will like it. Thank you for your service.

Keep testing. Keep playing. FOREVER and EVER AND EVER! Have another fight for Gamma, you were parroting that it was a great event only a week ago....?

Gamma fight was a great fight because some people organize it during a long time, trap us on another core etc…

 

The fight, technically, was a big mess without transponder (the bug we have to deal with) and the current meta is also boring.

 

It’s like playing rugby under rain, you can have a good match with a good team even if the ground is poorly maintained and is only mud.

 

In all case we still got 0 news from NQ and we have to wait, whatever we do they actually nocare.

The vids of the battle looked very boring though, even more boring then EvE vids . never the less glad you had fun

 

- can you disable the shield effect (looks ugly as f...)

- can you change ammo effect

- does everyone have modded huds

- how possible is it to battle with a standard ship/lua/hud

It is more because NQ has ignored many similar issues like this in the past, that they are now in a position where a wipe is the easy way out for them. And we all know how much NQ loves easy quick fixes ..sigh.. And as long as NQ keeps on being NQ, this will continue to happen after release also.

Not really, you need a script to gun in third person.

Yeah, but every video of DU combat I've ever seen looks excruciatingly boring...that's just the way combat was designed in DU.

 

I think people streaming PvP has negative or neutral marketing value for DU at best, but that's yet another thing we all know isn't going to be improved (even if only revamping the UI/UX here).

I find the basic idea of alien cores interesting. However, I don't see a really balanced cost-benefit calculation yet, just to get the T5 ore and some plasma. Currently it is certainly interesting, since there is hardly any significant resistance, you can take these cores through a large alliance without high costs. I think the cores, if there would be much more players online, will create a very different game climate than currently.

It lacks a possibility of defense in depth.
As the defensive system is mutated throughout the system (because of warp drives) once you have destroyed your opponent's military fleet you are completely free to chain attacks and control all alien cores.
 

This is what happened, Legion took control of some cores. Waited for a first real battle to gauge his opponents. Then once these destroyed the control of all the other aliens was done.
 

Of course if another sufficiently powerful group rises, they will take control of all the cores.
 

Unfortunately, there is no game mechanic that would allow sharing of alien cores and real turf wars to expand his influence.
 

Either you control all of Dual Universe, or you control nothing.
