    1: Is there a back end reason asteroids are only on a Saturday spawn time? Why not passive spawning and removal of asteroids as they are disturbed? 
     
    2. CSS and shields has lead to a new Meta of only low profile voxel or literally no voxel at all L core ships, this is very disappointing to see. Can we expect further work on balancing?
     
    3. Does NQ have any plans to make XS-M cores viable for pvp and a purpose for fully built out L cores?
     
    4. Aside from Planet warfare will we see any kind of environmental factors in space? Nebula’s? Singularities? Asteroid fields? Planet rings? Other possible ideas?
     
    5. Can we get an option to show the Obstruction zones from elements during build mode?
     
    6. Line of sight when!? Would be fun trying to play a slower pace game of cat and mouse around an asteroid etc and more stuff in the future.
     
    7. Could asteroids be revisited in the future? Sorry but the current DSAT system is just unpopular and not the greatest idea.

    Hi,
     
    We have been told to say when things are good, but also when things are not.
     
    For me the last patch is a big disappointment on many points. But the most impactful is undoubtedly also the most visible.
     
    The new weapons are a problem. Whether it is from size XS to size L, nothing is right.
     
    The main problem is with the size of the guns in the game now, the guns are MUCH too big. Already the previous version was not the most discreet, we now have huge monstrosities to place on our ships.
     
    Personally I found the design to be the last highlight of the game. It was the one thing that could make me proud of the game and show my friends the fantastic ships we could build and potentially play with in PvP.
     
    Except now I'm really ashamed to show a ship with these weapons. Their new dimensions and skins spoil all the voxel work you could do ...
     
    And let's talk about the skins, if the weapons had a modest size we could accommodate them even if they do not look like the standard expected for SCFI weapons. But really there I have the impression that we were put giant water guns or Nerf guns on our boats ...
     
    This combination : size + skin is really terrible.

    For the same reason we'll get different weapons in 3 years when atmo pvp is a thing. There doesn't need to be a different element set for each environment. They could just change the values as you move through the atmosphere and have actual object detection so they dont fire straight through objects. NQ never does things the smart way.

    NQ can declare something an 'exploit', but that doesn't mean it will be easily enforced. Jaywalking is illegal, but few people are busted for it because no one has time for that. 
     
    Enter as many constructs as you want. Don't be afraid just because "oh shit it's technically against the rules now" -- the only way you'll be busted is if someone complains (lol at anyone that thinks NQ will examine logs to find 'bad people'). Even with complaints, NQ's support isn't always timely or effective.
     
    If you do get busted, a ban seems excessive. If you do get banned, who even cares anymore...? ?‍♂️
     
    I think there's limited window to label something an exploit in an MMO. Any professional studio patches it after less than a month (often within days if they are live).
     
    Otherwise, you have this running list of 'laws' that most players will not know about. "But didn't you read the list of laws?" -- ignorance of the law is very much an excuse in a video game because they design reality itself -- it is up to NQ to literally codify the rules.
     
    They want to punish players for their inability to design a game -- it's a draconian approach that is very much in line with their overall customer service ethos (tell customers nothing, treat them like you hate them, assume they are always wrong, and punish them for your own mistakes) 
     
    I kind of get it if NQ's dev and tech isn't going to improve anytime soon. Tech is hard. Dev on an old poorly planned game must be a nightmare....
     
    But basic customer service...? Basic concepts about how to treat a customer?
     
    They seem to eternally elude NQ, and this is really the easiest part. I don't think NQ really likes their own customers and fears/loathes them for daring to break their design with 'exploits' (despite this being the point of beta testing). 
     
    I very much laugh at even the idea that this game will ever scale with their winning combination of technology, customer support, and game design.

    I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it, I really don't like NQ when they use the word exploit.... It's a weasel word that attempts to shift the blame from the devs' own mistakes onto the player base when it's actually a bug.

    In fact in this case, it's not even a bug, but an as yet completely undeveloped aspect of the game.

    Also, non consensual boarding has got to be one of the lamest things I've heard all day.

    It can't be just walking onto someones else's construct, it just cant. It is NQ's problem that they lack such basic mechanics as to deal with this, and pushing the problem over to the players is a systemic problem often displayed by NQ (like when they forgot to set proper rights on a market construct, and then blamed players for taking advantage).

    On the brightside its good to see that NQ is being more realistic about what they can accomplish. 
     
    On the downside they have really pulled back on things that were coming "the next patch." Energy systems, which are critical to balancing, are nowhere to be seen. Atmo PvP and territory warfare are a distant memory. 
     
    I guess now we just wait and see. Positives and negatives here.

    It is nice to see the answers but i am kinda disapointed to see the questions picked. There are about 22 people here asking questions, about 25% is the same question and any questions about performance or Pvp are not included, but its good to see we get an answer Part two soon!!!!  Hope to see them in there

    But NQ want to get rid of the honeycomb on war ships. The problem PvP is having is it is transmitting huge amounts of data. When ever a ship gets hit, it has to recalculate the ships shape, the it has to transmit that data to all the other ships in range. This is for every single round that makes contact. So there is huge data floating around killngmthe PvP speed and stability.
     
    Now with shields all they have to do is transmit shield got hit at this location, make it glow. Hardly any data at all.
     
    The meta will probably end up being gold (or what ever you can afford) around you seat, the core, the shield generator, the power system, and cheaper comb around your weapons

    A lot of folks, including myself, are wondering if power/energy mechanics are coming.  Any PvP rebalancing seems a much lower priority should power mechanics rebalance the way ships are designed in the first place.

    You do realize that you are basically showing that you are just looking at any of these games through the same subjective filter, applying what you believe to be the case to end up with the result you expect right?
     
    You also show that your idea of what a game is about is very narrow and you are pretty much choosing to ignore anything that falls outside of your personal view of a game, regardless of how intrinsic and valuable those other things may be to the game.

    In short; you are part of the problem in this regard, not part of the solution, or the truth even.

    Will the schematics for the new pvp elements be injected in to the game with more thought such as discovered in pvp zone wrecks or just put on market bots like everything else?
     
    Other than asteroid mining will there be alternative conflict drivers added? NQ missed an easy win opportunity for this by not making captured mission packages profitable. 
     
    Will voxel be double sided in this first wave of “balances”?
     
    When will NQ address Warp being a skip pvp free card in crossing contested zones?

The only way to create alliances or community projects now is to either bring in a random player or to use an alt. And NEEDING an alt to perform a basic game function should not be the answer.

    My largest concern is over BOO's Tortuga City Project. Our managers all have orgs of our own. @Kurock do you want Dice or Tortuga?
     
    As an additional concern, I have to add... what about alliances? 

    If two Super Legates want to make an in game alliance, how will that be handled?

    That's the point. Mentioning 0.23 may now be considered necro, but NQ still hasn't even completed the first early version of the mission planner. And that is only the first of many steps needed to somewhat mitigate the damage 0.23 did.

    Beyond that being amazingly off topic, democracies don't work in games. They either require a large enough population that a >50% voting total gives a decent picture of the situation, or you need compulsory voting. Both fail in video games.
