    You get it bit wrong. If you need to have 10 people crew on ship, it will be real problem for busy people. Because they can't play by schedule. Team work require schedule system. Swaping people everytime won't be enjoyable to anyone - "Today they need you, tomorrow they say ship is packed" or "You missed yesterday, so we don't need you anymore". In both situations there is unhappy person (we speak about unique role, not just for being on the ship).
     
    Fully automated (equal as manual) will make game as EVE (I think the most boring fights I ever seen). As somebody wrote/quoted "Go AFK, whule ship fighting". Don't want to see this game become as this AFK trash.
     
    Yes lazy players (few hours a week) will need much more time to build, to get used to ship and role.
    Busy players (who play few hours a day max) will spend less time than lazy players to rich same targets.
    NoLifers will achieve targets faster. So actually they will be most experienced (real exoerience) anyway. They would have schedules to work/play, they will have constand duties and other. They will do everything very well, because they professionals. They have time for that.
     
    If you say, Lazy players must not Build/Control big ships (they have no time to set teams), these players lose motivation to play in one moment. Same with busy players. Less motivation, more players will leave - more players leave, less chances game will survive in long term.
    I am strongly against to make game for NoLifers only. And no need to say "They can fly little solo fighters". 99% of players want and will play to build something bigger. Then bigger, ten bigger, then bigger".
     
    If I have opportunity to play on solo fighter only, because I can't spend 6+ hours a day and live by the schedule, I won't be interested to pkay long, I won't be interested to invest in game. How many players will do the same?
    If I can build somethibg big and control it, even with less efficency (than full crew), then I have motivation, then I will invest in game. Because there is potential to go forward.

    I am very proud to introduce the latest product from Evil, Inc!
     
    We have been working to develop tools that benefit the community, and the first such tool is a new data tracking website for Dual Universe at www.du-stats.com
     
    This site will function very much like zkillboard.com does for EVE Online. Right now it is very basic and only shows a map of the community. This will expand as time goes on with new features coming online over time. Most of the back end tools have already been built and feature development is now more a matter of web design than anything else! Upcoming features include forum statistics, friends list tracking, in depth user profiles, change over time displays, alt detection and organization auditing! 
     
    Now for some FAQ:
     
    What can I use this for? This is a good tool for checking on people who are in your organization, or want to be. It's also a good tool to see which orgs share a lot of members or figure out who that person you are talking to is.
     
    Is the data real time? No. The data is not real time and represents the last time when the website refreshed its data.
     
    How often does the data update? Depends. It generally is updated once every two days, but sometimes can be a bit faster or slower.
     
    Why isn't it real time? There is no need for real time data at this stage. Updating that frequently takes a lot of server resources. The update time will be reduced once there is a need for faster data. When the game comes out, the goal is for a 15 minute update time.
     
    Will there be new features? Yes. This is very much an in-development project. Also, I'm not great at web design, so it will be simplistic for a while.
     
    How long have you been working on it? About 4 months.
     
    What do I do if I found a bug or security flaw? Please either report it here or pm me. 
     
    I want my org to be excluded from this, can you remove it? Nope. If it exists on the official site, it exists here. If you don't want people to see it, don't create it.
     
    I searched for my name and didn't find anything. Why? The map that is currently there only shows people who are in an organization. If you are not in an org, your name will not appear. Future features will show accounts even if they are not in any orgs.
     
    Does it work on mobile devices? Maybe. It isn't currently designed for that, but hopefully will be in the future.

    Sorry, I don't find it as a good idea. For? What the reason to spend time, money, workforce and other resources on the things already exist? Another facebook or twitter specially for fans? You have forum and community portal. Amount of discords already big, not saying about after game release.
    Let create TV show, film about DU, open DU shoping center, start to build factory for hover/space ships in real life. Or let's focus on game designing and use all resources for improving main product, to make it uniqeu and great quality.
     
    Sorry, but I find it as unnecessary waste of resources, especially when project is not well known and not even close to release.
     
    P.S: If this is thread about to create fan website without developers resources, then just ignore this message.

    And that is exactly what I wrote. This is a mess. Thousands of organizations, all in one category, all-in-one. Who is who? Where religions? Where alliances? Where political structures? Where fan clubs? MESS!
     
    Or maybe you find fan club, join it because you like something. But in next day this fan club (some members) raid your base because they can use your data and spawn on your base freely. We can speak about RDMS, yeah, but if (! if !) that system will cover a lot, it will be extremely complicated, which mean many players will ignore it.
    Yes, this could be accidently done or sabotaged (which is fine for gameplay). But then your defense just ignore targets, because they are "Fan Club" which is equal to alliance or clan. Simple example, there could be many different cases of abuse of the system.
     
    More than 95% (yes, forum members are a very very very very small minority) of players won't read forums and deeply learn this system. For the majority, it always will be "Clans", not any forum fantasy structures.
    Open lists of "Religions", "Political Structures", "Fan Clubs" and other will open doors for these majority because it will be easier to understand what is what. If I'm a new player and want to join to any political system, I can easy to find all open political systems and join them. Player friendly system.
     
    Limited opportunities are way to reduce the amount of abuse (and this is very important for new players). Want to create political structure, you create it. You get all tools necessary for that activity. Sorry, but I find really silly if "Clan" has same opportunities as random "Fan Club" or "Religion" (like in the example above, especially since anyone can join these last groups). 
     
    The whole system requires massive global control.

    -Ship to Ship - no
    -Building to ship - no
    -Ground to Ship - yes
     
    Ramming is useful thing, but very expensive for performance (also very abusable, build stick of armour and destroy turrets without major risk to your ship). But if ships can freely fall down on the ground and do not receive any damage, this would be wrong. I belive it is possible to make economical version of simple collision GvS.

    It is definitely too early now. Yes, it is cool to have early donations/sales (but actually Devs will get it anyway if the player will be interested), but a promoting game with very raw picture and optimization could be a big mistake. Potential players could get a negative attitude, but change negative to positive much harder than introduce and make some love to a new product. Also any promoting cost the money. Pay for promoting on early stage and have more risks?
     
    If you try to warm up the community and keep potential customers excited, you need inform them very often and very well. DU in the early design stage, nothing major to show as an advertisement (people like nice picture - cover).
    So I would say (guess), promoting/advertisement stage would be active in the middle/end of Beta. More beautiful pictures/movies, reviews, optimization, real information about the game and other. And time to release would be close, so potential customers won't cool down their interest.

    I do not look at the situation as "Captain" or whatever else who control everything, I try to see what you want to offer to players on board (those service stuff). Because saying "IT SHOULD BE MULTI ONLY" = force somebody to do that. And if it fully boring and not gives any fun, why players need to do that?
     
    But the main thing is - "And yes, if they are lucky, 99% of most crews job is watching screens. But you want them there for those 1% of the time - battle ;)"
    And this is the main problem! It could be cool to manage some systems 1-2 times, but doing this crap day after day.
     
    The game must give fun not routine work. Most of the things in the list is routine. Yes, these things could look very awesome in theory and dreams, but doing them day after day (to be good in that role) will be fully not enjoyable very soon. Or you think that somebody come back home from the 8hrs routine work in office (or any other) and will enjoy another few hours of routine gameplay?
    Saying "YOU MUST HAVE MULTICREW" you forcing somebody to do the routine.
    Saying "YOU MAY HAVE MULTICREW or IMPROVE AND PRACTISE YOUR SKILLS" gives the option to have a crew or work hard to do as more as possible.
    In the end:
    -Hardcore players have unlimited target to improve their multitasking and personal skills (Can fully and easy control full ship? Let's add something new)
    -Basic or Casual players can try to find crew for up to every single turret and system (Don't want to do something? Hire somebody to do that)
    -Well skilled players can learn how to run few systems at the same time (You like activity 1, 2 and 3, but 4th is too much for you? Hire someone to fill this gap)
     
    Will 1-2 players control the same ship better than 10 players, this is a question of skill and practice. "Hard to Master" - isn't that on of the main messages from Developers?

    I like idea, if it would be balanced enough. Also depend how easy it would be to kill. Imagine what the hell would be around safe zoneon first planet, since everyone respawn there. Not even reasonable game PvP, but hundreeds of trolls with free-30day-accounts.
     
    Question of balance I would say.

    What is the competition?: This is a art/digital art competition for the best looking space themed design you can create. This includes anything that can pass for a construct in Dual Universe, including but not limited to buildings, ships, hovercraft, space stations etc. It must be your own creation and must be made especially for this competition. In game screenshots and 3D modelling tools are allowed as long as the design is your own.
     
    Who is the competition open to?: Everyone that has an account on the forums. Cinderfall Syndicate administrators may enter the competition but are not eligible to win prizes.
     
    What do you need to do to enter?: Take a picture of your design and post the picture on this thread. One entry per person. No alts please
     
    What do you win?: game keys!
     
    Timelines:
    When did it start?: 16th December 2016.
    Entries closed at the end of 28th December 2016. CLOSED

    Nothing else to add. Simply, there are people who say like it would happen with 100% guarantee and create disinformation in the community.
     
    If to speak about the crew. How big should it be in your vision? How many players need to be in "sub" to cover possible DC/RL (if to make heavy requirements to have a multi crew)? Finally how big should be a ship? Maybe I find 30m ship as huge, but you speak about 3km ship.
     
     
    Future. Automatic systems. Even nowadays crew become obsolete more and more. That if to speak about realism.
    If to speak about game side, re-read ATMLVE messages, don't want to re-write his words.

    Very nice information. But I also would like to see something like:
     
    ● Nanoformer battery (how long player can dig), which can be improved (same as power of nanoformer). And not with 5 sec recharge.
    ● Ability to restore ground. This could be very useful. If you removed too much ground by an accident or maybe when somebody did underground dig to your base. To make blocks could damage interior of surrounding enviroment.
    ●Defence module which will increase power needed for digging (making "shield" of basic ground similar as rare mineral, as example). This could really help against underground abuse. No need point on TU, it is very expensive and give many other opportunities (which could be unnecessary and have no need for player).
     
    P.S: Not sure what .gif image shows, but I hope it won't looks like "God Hand", and we will get some tools for scan and dig.
