I think what it means is that trying to debug issues with system specs less than these is not going to get a high priority. 
 
You've got to keep in mind that the game is probably poorly optimized at this point, which makes sense at the pre-alpha state, and that by the time the game comes out, system specs similar to these should be fairly the norm.

This months DevDiary includes info on the (Pre-) Alpha, a view at the game menu, a glimpse at the inventory system, redesign of the cockpit widgets and several things about building and scripting!

I don't think it's fair to Novaquark that we began saying the Alpha got postponed or,  *Postpone* being the right word to describe this. Since untilmately we will be getting what we were promised, just under a different name for once simple reason;
 
NQ doesn't feel comfortable (yet) calling this relesse "alpha"
 
Anyways, whether pre-alpha or alpha or whatever name NQ decided to call it, we are getting a release of DU in September. 
 
We should be happy that what was promised is getting delivered!!!

I wouldn't call it "alpha postponed". They held their promise and give us a game to break and test, that's all that counts for me.

Yeah, by the press releases they are calling it: "limited co-operative mode" - so not a full fledge multiplayer mode...

You bet I'm excited. It's the only game I ever backed and the only MMO in years that really grabs my attention. I could literally talk for hours about Dual Universe. 

Hi here.
I just took my iron pledge few days ago, and I quickly upgraded it to Gold when I discovered the September coming things !
Since then I am spending hours going through forum and devblog to gather all information I can. It just remind me 10 years back when I discovered EvE for the first time.
 
I am then opening a new organisation called Absolution based on what I guess would be possible and fun to me in this game :
Exploration of planet, moon, deepspace.. anything where rare ore may be found, Prospection of rare ore, and trading them (location or ore itself), Combat to protect our mine, or to take by force the ones we may want to have, 
  Let's wait and see if this way of life will really be possible and fun in the game!
Application to Absolution is mainly open to french speaking poeple since that's my native language, but I don't mind speaking and team-up with english speaking lads.

They are terms used synonymously right now. When people talk about the "wiki" they are referring to gamepedia (the official wiki).
 
 

For those that want a community wiki with a place to record history, locations, organizations, whatever....

If anyone wants to help set it up let me know, otherwise you just need to create an account to have permission to edit it.
 
It still needs a better logo and tons of pages need to be created, otherwise it should be functional and usable at this point.
 
If you don't want to use it that's fine, just please don't go out of your way to berate me for doing this for free. 

Let's discuss this on discord, that way we can have a more fluid discussion than back and forth here

After thinking about this for a week and looking into things, I have a much better answer for you @CT3PO0, however, it still probably won't be what you want to hear.
 
Yes, you will be able to play the game on Mac computers, under very specific circumstances.

You will need a Mac with Thunderbolt 3, and an external GPU (most likely) https://developer.apple.com/development-kit/external-graphics/ 

With that, any sufficiently powerful Mac (not leaking system requirements) would be able to dual boot into Windows and run the game. 

It's not a perfect solution, but it will work.

For those that weren't aware of the debate going on in the wiki thread within the General Topics subforum, Novaquark has indicated that they would like the Official Wiki to only contain official content. This raised issues with people who wanted to place locations/organizations/alliances/histories/etc on the wiki.
 
Well rather than bicker endlessly about it, I've created a wiki that I hope will satisfy the desires of the community in a way that doesn't intrude on the official one.
 
The Dual Universe Community Wiki can be found @ http://dualuniverse.wiki/index.php/Main_Page
 
 
It is brand new, and as such is going to take a while before it starts to look like a well curated and maintained wiki, however for the time being people are welcome to register an account (you need an account to edit, I did that to try and keep out some spam) and edit as they see fit. Things like a logo, table of contents, templates, etc. need to be added in order to make it fully feature-complete.
 
Anyone is welcome to add any Dual Universe-related content as they see fit, just be aware that it may be moved around as things are organized going forward. If you're going to be doing heavy modifications to the wiki, please reach out so that we can discuss the best way to organize things going forward (and so it might save you some time and make things easier overall). 
 
If you encounter any errors while using it, let me know on discord and I'll try and tackle them as soon as possible.

Because our organizations are all player made content, it is therefore "non-official" - I use the term here loosely because the game does revolve around player made content - this information should be kept separate in a player made wiki.
