I don't see the release being too far out from 0.30, because of the talent respec, which is obviously a test for release.

The wild card is the summer DAC, which could be a push to get more players before the wipe, but I expect many of those players would hold off until the release, so they can grind out some missions.

For me it's sounds a bit strage how is the first words in this devblog is:

In the devblog about NQ-driven solution.

For me NQ-driven and player-driven is quite opposite terms, and I don't see how this concept supports it.

Also 16 slots seems like way too little, do you think that at release, if there will be 10k+ active players 16 slots will be enough to promoting player-made content?
How much of these exchanges will be needed at release to satisfy all the players who want promote something?
Is this concept even scalable to reasonable amount?

Why not just integrate a player-driven shop system for constructs BPs and scripts ingame, the one that would replicate DU-Creators, but actually inside the game, with the ability to purchase a BP from there directly?

What if some players use this exchange for promoting their org, and there are much more orgs that would like to promote themselves, than just 16.
Would that mean that these NQ-selected 16 orgs would be dominant in player-counts, because NQ desided so? How is that a player-driven?

Do I think it's fair? no
Do I think you are massively overreacting in this matter? absolutely
Do I think your assumption of this occuring is excessive? yes
Do I believe NQ dropped the ball on acting in regards to exploiters? absolutely
Do I expect they had reasons for that? Yes, I am pretty sure the wipe was always going to happen which is what NQ knew and so they acted with that in mind (as far as they acted at all)

Does anything these exploiters did affect me personally? no, not at all and that is why, even when I belie it woudl be a mistake, if NQ were to not wipe I can live with that. The thing for me woudl be that by not doing awipe NQ would really only hurth their long term plans and potentially create reasons for loss of retention and possibly some bad press.

Something like the Bazzar by Shamsie and Briggenti should be a staple of every large group of player, but I feel like they really didn't have enough tools in game for it to be possible. i.e. the ability to place a cities worth of cores, rent them out, manage players who quit, player run markets, terminals. It seems like this is a good start but not a end solution yet.

This is the kind of communication I was looking for. It was painful not knowing if the vision of the original game was kept and what change was in store.
Now we have a list of major short, medium and long term goals for the studio.
It's still much more fun for the whole community to be able to project themselves a little further into the future.
There's a little light at the end of the tunnel

Basic parts where already below costs, but yes the salvage really increased the supply while demand is down at least 50 percent due to the wipe talk causing a mass exit.

Nothing will change before release, NQ will go there with what we now have.

They have also pretty much said no, at least for the forseeable future, to all your suggestions even if some make sense.

Spaceman hit most of it.  He did not talk about how allot of engines came onto the market when ships became abandoned during the no long term parking at markets thing. And more recently inactive accounts had all there things become abandoned.

Everybody started out with those engines. As newer engines came into the game and as people could afford better engines they took those engines off and put better engines on. The old engines got placed on the market. Except no one wants those engines at that price. because they too are getting better engines at that price. So the price drops to a point that people will actually but them. which is a loss for that item.

Also if its costing you 107k to make. you dont have max skills. so your trying to compete in an over saturated market producing at inferior rates. Which is not going to be profitable. would not think you need to be an economist to figure that one out.

With all the months it has taken them to discuss and not decide on wipe/no wipe... 100% surprised all of the development staff isn't dead from trying to decide what is for dinner... you know they would all starve first before making up their mind.

What you see as a market failure I see as a market working as expected in the case of basic elements. Nobody wants basic large amto, and everyone has them, or as the ability to make them (and a lot of them with a very cheap factory).

Moving up the tier, to territory scanners, an uncommon elements...  Yes these also sold for below costs for a long time, yet they took longer to produce, after the removal of mega nodes for the new mining units, people lost their demand after they found their unlimited ore pools, and then sold off their scanners. Lots of people also made them, I had 6 lines, gottchar had 10s of them, and we sold near ore costs. And the market was saturated long before the demand fell off.

Moving on the advanced tier. Engines, especially those that are used in the popular ships have mostly been profitable. Depends on what NQ is saying about a wipe, lots of players have been leaving so the overall demand is down, which means the price is near cost, but rarely this tier will go below ore cost.

Rare, is hit or miss depending on what elements your selling, but that's because of the server pop and the demand. Things like MUs went for 10x ore cost until the market saturated. Now your lucky to break even, but that's mostly due to the rare ore supply having a massive jump in supply.

Exotic, almost always profitable but slow to move, again due to the limited demand.

The game could use something like element recycling, so that basics are at least worth 1/3 their vaule but I don't see NQ giving that a priority.

Honestly my thoughts are they need to limit and reseed mining units every 12 weeks but they have more important things like pvp at the top of their priority list.

tldr: no market demand means no profit, surplus of ore also means no profit

ps: Run missions if you want to make money

You's certainly right but the problem is that NQ has no awareness of any of this, they do not consider these things important. In general, they do not view the community as a priority and have actually said as much.

HAY NQ I have some FEEDBACK for you.

Without going into pvp and getting this plasma, there is absolutely no reason for me to get tier 5 ore.  I can't make anything except for scrap, honeycomb, and parts for elements I can't make.  Why does EVERY single tier 5 item require this plasma stuff?  I can't even make a bonsai or a container without it.

Even worse, because Warp Beacons use the same plasma as the containers do, and with how many people want to make warp beacons with it, I'll never ever be able to make a tier 5 container.  This is some pretty awful design in my opinion and I want you to know that.  Please reconsider this plasma stuff being required for every single tier 5 element in the game.  It's actually really awful design for the large number of us who don't enjoy the pvp in this game.  PvP is not the only way to enjoy this game.

    EDIT:  Adding the following
Why is there not a new 6th tier of "Alien" items that need the plasma instead of completely making T5 ore completely useless to people and ruining the already existing industry for T5 items?
