    Why are effects in game so overdone and unnatural looking in many cases.

    Few example;
    The "dust cloud" created by the flattening tool is way overdone and too thick. The new shield effect is way to strong the same way.  Suface harvestables look like they were hijacked from Candy Crush. The warp "starfield" is way to pronounced and "present" (old one yes, but still..)
    Please dial effects back, there is no need to show off all these bright colors and they really deface the game IMO

    I just finished turning off auto-renewal for my accounts. The reason? Mining changes.
    Most games out there reward players for logging on daily. NQ chose a different path: DU is punishing players for NOT logging in daily.
    I already work two jobs, the last thing I need is a third job which I pay for.

    There is still game time left until Autumn 2022. I'll log in every now and then, to see what's going on. There's a chance I would change my mind, IF the game steers back to the proper path. As it is right now, it seems to be going the way of the Dodo.

    It was fun while it lasted, though, gotta admit that.

    Especially for new players, I wonder what they are supposed to do other than vacuum rocks...

    Setting up a base on Sanctuary? Enjoy trekking even further since it's now the only real "safe zone" and everyone will move their shit there.
    No point in going to Alioth, you can't afford the taxes as a fresh player and the "exploration" part of the game is gone now that there's no ore to mine.
    No point running missions until you can get a proper ship.
    No way to PvP or mine asteroids without a space ship either, and as a new player you aren't going to win any PvP encounter in this game's poorly conceived idea of "open world" PvP (inherently asymmetrical conflict).

    All because they decided to bury ore absurdly deep and turn their game into a mole sim. They didn't have to do that.

    Now instead of "mole sim" it becomes a "lube up your miners and wait" sim.

    Fortunately, we'll be able to see how all this works out soon, there's little chance they delay the update for more tweaks. They've never adapted to player criticism before and I have no reason to believe they will now, either.

    Why are tile taxes still set to $1 million per week? Was there not enough angry feedback on this to warrant a change? Is it still "just a number and will change before release"? Seeing it twice makes me worry it will be the final number.

    Enjoy my stuff... you and the other 8 players left should have a wonderful time with it for the time the game has left.  Too few players don't pay the bills at NQ.  This game was on borrowed time as it was.

    Restricting or prohibiting something is not a good solution. Why choose A or B when you can allow both in one game.
    Better solution:
    All elements come in 2 versions.
    -> normal elements with function
    -> design elements without function
    In the case of engines, the design engines would be purely optical, are also much lighter and can be stacked. However, they also offer no benefit.
    Normal engines cannot be stacked and offer the normal boosts.

    This is the final nail in the lid for this game.   If they cant see that by now there is no hope.

    Another game comes to mind that is dead set on not paying attention to the majority of players and listens to the vocal minority. They have barley 400 people playing on weekends now.  They are using that as an example,  Good work NQ.  lol

    Remove the territory tax and link the property to a subscription. As soon as the sub expires plus 4 weeks of error tolerance, the territory and everything on it becomes accessible for all to loot. if an active subscription is running, your own things are secured. So the players can keep everything and NQ gets support through the sub. Win-win and nobody cries.

    @NQPann and & @NQDeckard:

    The element collision changes modified the collision boxes of existing elements. This will cause ship builders who believed they were building ships that were "as nq intended" and sold ships as "not stacked" to have customers come to them reporting that the element list is showing stacked elements. Compounding the problem is that it only reports the type of element that is now "stacked" without giving any visual indicator as to which specific element is considered "stacked". You have told us it's your intention to disable elements considered stacked.

    Additionally you are changing brakes so the tops have to be exposed to the outside of the ship (without actually changing the indicating visual that shows the leading edge as the impacted portion that needs to be exposed). This change will cause most ships in the game to become obsolete without major changes.

    These two changes are game breaking. Why are you pushing two game breaking changes while also fundamentally changing how resources are allocated, collected, and imposing a 1m per week tax per territory on every player in the game? This feels like the kind of upset I heard from my friends who no longer play the game before the .23 patch went live. Please explain why this is necessary and how you are going to keep this from becoming another exodus.

    10 million Quanta says they won't address the major concerns people are voicing in the Q/A. They'll pick the softball questions and opinions that align with their will. Any takers?

    Also, I guess this means well received.

    To be honest the only way I see the game taking off is going back to pre .23. Buffing engines or making them smaller.  finally  Stop the punish the player behavior!   It just makes people leave.

    This was the absolute best game since SWG  by a wide margin pre .23  The only thing it needed was more content.

    I have so much time in this game and really enjoy it and the only issue is territory tax cost. i have 21 tiles and not all in 1 place. a few on different planets. I enjoy the build of the game, but 1 million a week. No way i can keep up with this. Our organization is only 3 of us and we will probably stop playing this game if this sticks. 21 million a week? Thats Crazy. I really hope this changes alot because i really want to continue playing DU.

    For me the value of the Mining in L/h is sooo ridiculus ! in ONE HOUR 1/2 scoop of traditional mining ? how to build something or create something ?
    the atmo break stacking is the onlty way to have enought break without kill the ship design !! please leave it !
    thanks for your feedback !

    QUESTION:

    Are you trying to punish PvE, New, and Solo players? First the miniscule number of PvE Asteroids, and now the taxes on territory that yield less ore per hour than you can mine per 5 second scoop currently.

    Comments on question.

    Based on the numbers from PTS, you need 20-30 territories and many more miners to yield a steady flow of resources

    All this is going todo is assure is that the inflated ore market becomes more inflated, and that smaller orgs, solo players, and new players have virtually no chance to ever progress, and force people into just doing hauling missions, which in turn forces them to risk PvP Conflict, which with the new changes increases the chance of now being not able to replace what you lost.

    I understand this is a civilization building game. To have a civilization you have to have groups, large groups, even nations or mega corporations. But if you remove the ability to make an impact as an individual, or even be able to function self sufficiently to a good degree, what's the point?

    What is the attraction for a new player?  "Welcome! Now pick one of 5 mega organizations to join, or spend the next month collecting your daily reward to build your first ship. By the way, if you want a Territory not on Sanctuary, you are going to need to find a way to make more money, because the daily reward won't even pay for your taxes for one territory."

    Honestly I have rarely said anything about the game updates. Even schematics. I enjoyed the challenge of working hard to build something. But honestly, if these extraction numbers stay anywhere in the neighborhood where they are now, I honestly think my time will be better spent elsewhere. This is not a threat, or me generally just whining. I love this game, I truly do, but this will literally suck the enjoyment of the game right out of me.

    You have the ability to create and maintain what is likely the best MMO in a generation - Don't waste it on bad  decisions. Listen to your player base, what remains, learn from the many people who have left. When Beta hit, the first couple months were amazing, despite the bugs. When you looked at Dual Universe on a streaming site, it was loaded with people building, PvPing, exploring, and enjoying the game, with thousands of people enjoying watching them.. But if you look now, you see the same few streamers, with maybe a couple dozen viewers, if anyone is online at all.

    Listen. Learn. Debate. Act. Do better.

    Game has lost its track and became punishing simulator.

    I have quit the game as have everyone else I know of.  This game has been dying since .23 and they are making another PUNISH THE PLAYERS initiative that very well might drive the last nails in the coffin!     During .23 you lost more than 40% of the player base on the first day. why did NQ not learn from this ?   O well this game had so much potential which is now squandered.

    Here is my feedback for @nq    You have been and are tone deaf.   The reason so many of us quit playing the game is you kept nurfing engines and mining.    Then you add all these animations that cause even more lag without giving us a way to turn if off!    Stacking elements is the only way we had to not create huge engine walls.  if you start deleting peoples ships without warning including the ones NQ promoted you will only loose more players!   I am so glad I don't play this game anymore because NQ is going to kill it.  Here is for the VOCAL Minority in the game.  Keep it up and help NQ kill the game.  Most of us have moved on now so we don't care.

    We are not talking about obvious exploit stacking with many elements at the same position with 100% overlapping.

    The problem is the many, many ways you can get elements to partially overlap at the edges ect.  just by placing then normally on voxels etc.
    I.e. normal building where you are just trying to place elements as close as possible for cosmetic reasons.

    And so we need to know exactly what NQ considers stacking to be. And if they mean any kind of slight overlap at all. The fallout is going to be huge, since that would mean pretty much all constructs ever built in the game.
