2nd friendly reminder

Couldn’t say it better myself, since it’s a video game they seem to forget that decency they are supposed to have as human beings. I may talk a lot of shit but I haven’t done anything with the express purpose to ruin the experience of others gameplay only tried to make it better. Cant say the same for these goons.

I understand that. I understand what is like to plan an attack, execute it, feel the success of it. 
 
To tell you the truth, if this game is a success, i want to do what you do. 
To hunt my pray. To say "hold it, hold it.. NOW!" 
 
But the thing is that you and your friends are doing it too son. 
I understand the importance of piracy to the game and more importantly to make powerfull orgs not feel too confident. 
 
I understand how it is hard to train coordination and chain of command to later be idle for weeks without a target. 
I was a officer on a arma3 clan. We demand that soldiers train and obey orders, they demand action. 
 
But the rest of the community and the state of the development of DU are not ready for you guys. 
Its a sad truth but its the truth. 
 
So you have a choice to make, and its your choice not ours. 
 
Do you want to let the game grow, the enemy grow.
Letting ppl pass by your net because you know they are small fry. 
Allowing events. 
Engaging in pvp against yourselves to keep motivation.
 
Or you harvest all the seeds in the ground not allowing them to grow. 
You hunt every prey until all prey has quit DU. 
But then DU is dead. No more hunting. 

I guess you are not a science fiction fan.
But I'm gonna try to explain it in a simple way:
 
Imagine a group of PPL, that love shooting adventures. In the 70's there were 3 types of shooting adventures. Cowboys, Spies and WW2. Ppl were getting tired of cowboys, spies and ww2 were too real to be fun.
Jorge Lucas figured out that if they made a vast universe with remote lawless areas, he could have "space cowboys"
Instead of a horse, they had a ship. Instead of a father figure they had jedis to provide a moral validation.
 
At that time ppl were able to dream about freedom, wild adventures, saving princesses, fighting against evil, not as something far away in the past. But something yet to come in the future.
 
Can you understand how DU is appealing for fans of Star Wars?
Can you understand how Star Wars impacted every science fiction tittle?
 
So to answer your question.
DU and Star Wars are related by the fans.
Star Wars fans are an important target group to be players of DU.
Du players will react positively to Star Wars content, making players already in game, dream a little longer and maintain their subscription.
 

Building Lucasfilm/Disney IP ships in a game is not a violation of their IP, it is actually allowed under their definition of Fanart as long as there is no personal gain (as in selling these creations in RMT). I do not know what the bad man did to you that this is such an obsession for you but please stop putting your foot in your mouth on this.

I see very little of what you seem to want in the original pitch made for the game, the main difference being that you put PVP front and center which it is not, will not be and was never intended to be.
 
Oh, and using a SW theme for events in a game is not "stealing IP" as it is entirely allowed as per the fan content rules set out by Lucasfilm/Disney.

You clearly dont understand what a civilization is, at least in the eyes of NQ. 
 
Also, "player driven" is not "player made" and even less "100% player made"
 
NQ can and should create the conditions for promoting events to happen. As long as those events dont change the balance of the game, NQ can create small protected pockets without being accused of interference.

Whether it's rude or not has nothing to do with the rules. If a group is playing basket ball at a park;  you can run onto the court, kick the ball, and yell "Let's play soccer!" If you don't steal the ball, it's not illegal. It's still rude.

Here's one for your thick skull. 2 teams doing a war reenactment with strict rules and an unannounced  3rd team comes in with real weapons and kills everyone. Keep playing dumb guy its a space game I know your not this dense.

It's a sorry state of the game when you have to plan, schedule and invite people to a PVP event ... "Emergent gameplay" my behind.

Jetpacks are handy devices that give you a boost when you need it. Although they are not intended as a mode of long distance travel, they can be used to jump over obstacles, leap across gaps, or to reach new heights while building your latest masterpiece.
 
MAKING IT BETTER
The upcoming 0.24 update includes improvements to jetpacks that provide better functionality. Whereas previously the jetpack was always active in deep space, this will no longer be the case. Now you will be able to toggle between having the jetpack activated or not with the X key.

In deep space, you’ll usually want your jetpack to be activated. The new ability to toggle it off will come in handy for other reasons.
 
ARTIFICIAL GRAVITY DEACTIVATION
You can use your jetpack to navigate your construct in deep space. When activating your jetpack, you won’t be affected by the artificial gravity of the construct anymore. Feel free to glide in the corridors of your space station.
 
But maybe you don’t want anybody to be able to enjoy a smooth glide around your construct. Maybe you built a space Ninja Warrior parkour course and jetpacking through it would be cheating. We’re adding the “Right to use jetpack” to the Right and Duty Management System (RDMS). Only people with this right can use the jetpack and break free from the artificial gravity field of your construct. We recommend casually drifting in front of those who don’t have it to mock them … But that’s up to you!

Set your sights even further: hit X and launch yourself off your construct and into space, gently floating to nearby ships, bases and even planets.

Buffed.de, mostly known for WOW articles, has written a few pieces on DU before, and have been mostly positive. However, I and a few friends saw a part in a translated version of this article that stated something that could bring a set of attention to DU that is not needed at this time, that is until NQ fix their game.
 
1st section: "the world comes alive":
 
"Although the rush was already high at the beginning of the beta phase, more and more players were added over time and slowly but surely filled the world of Dual Universe. That had several positive effects on the game. For one thing, the world feels much more alive now. We no longer only encounter strange players in the central marketplaces of Alioth, the largest of the planets, but everywhere in the universe. Even the tiny moons of smaller planets on the edge of the solar system are now well populated."
 
keep in mind this was written on 02/13/2021, and right now that 3rd sentence cannot be any more wrong, alioth is a ghost town, madis and thades are abandoned, and any other planet besides maybe ion and lacobus have basically no inhabitants. That is all because of .23 and the major screw up NQ had. i might be blowing it out of proportion, but you get the jist'.
 
2nd section: "Large organizations have grown":
 
"But it's not just the individual players that make the world come alive. Giant organizations have been set up and grown over the months. Huge factories that produce spaceships on an assembly line and are operated by dozens of players are not uncommon. Huge freight transporters fly from moon to moon with a crew of several men, buy cheap resources there and deliver them to the many thousands of players who have established their home on Alioth. There is organized trade, a flourishing industry, and the first political intrigues between the largest of the organizations."
 
"giant organizations"... what, like 100-200 active players making up 5 different major orgs? compared to the 30K ish+ we had since launch in total? (in reference to sanc moon tiles), if you go to any market in the game, even the district markets on alioth, they are all dead, no one visits them anymore.
 
3rd section: "Schematics ensure more trade"
 
"The schematics in particular are responsible for the flourishing of trade. In the alpha and at the beginning of the beta, everyone was still able to produce everything, provided they had the resources and had the appropriate industrial equipment built beforehand, is no longer possible. More complex modules, which you cannot manufacture in your personal nanocrafter, but only in industrial plants, now require a so-called schematic. This is practically a set of instructions that you can use to explain to your industrial plant which module is manufactured and how. Without a schematic, even the most sophisticated production line is just a pile of scrap metal. You can get the schematics on the marketplaces for a chunk of the in-game currency Quantas. The more complex the module, the more expensive the schematic. You also need a separate schematic for each system. Anyone who wants to manufacture silicon from quartz in ten melting systems not only needs ten systems, but also ten schematics - which can quickly turn into money in large factories."
 
Excuse me, what? Anyone who has played the game most likely quit over schematics, or permanent destruction. why? schematics are 1. expensive, 2. tedious to setup, and 3. has almost entirely killed production of any goods not tier one. when schematics came out, a 7m item (anti-gravity generator S) had a schematic required to build it worth hundreds of millions, now that schematic is worth 76m as of the time of writing this, 10x the items worth is fair, ok, but the way they implemented them was ridiculous.

i have the feeling this was a commissioned article by NQ to Buffed.de, if it was, I read someone say that its illegal by German law to publish paid pieces, however i may be incorrect. (correction, if the article is noty labeled as a sponsored article and its found out to be then it is illegal, no where on the article does it mention sponsorship)
 
regardless of the legality, NQ needs to come clean because if this was paid that is scummy, make me feel like this game was a cash grab.
NQ I'm begging you, come clean and stop hiding that your game is dying, you still have a chance to dig out of the hole you made, please!

How am I insulting the guys who kickstarted the game?! I respect some of you aren't happy but the few alpha backers aren't going to support the game enough to keep it afloat if they wipe. NQ has already scared off a ton of the player base that came at launch of beta for several different reason, but the few of us left are still here on the near promise of no wipe.
 
Don't put that bs on me I don't cause anyone misery so get over yourself. I didn't make a patch that obsoleted everyone's factory killing off like half the pop in 1 day and I didn't release near game breaking updates that are throwing the in game economy into disarray. I'm trying to stay hopeful with the current run of the game and all you wipe hype whiners are crying cause someone has something you don't. There is nothing in this game that is currently game breaking so why else do you want a wipe besides that fact? Guy A has more than I have so I want a wipe. That's what I'm hearing. Also your low blow fetus comment you can shove it up your back side and that's not an insult to the alpha backers that's an insult to you SirJohn85. Yes the game has somethings that need changed but if you wipe those same issues will still be present, all that will change you guys who aren't as good can get a fresh new start, and then cry wipe again a couple weeks over when another inevitable exploit is found. 

Wipe and you'll lose most your base fans. Yeah maybe the 15 guys from Alpha will stay but the people who were actually interested in checking this game out from say an advertisement or word of mouth wont bother. No he didn't expressly say there wouldn't be a wipe but JC made it very clear he has no intention to wipe unless it is absolutely necessary and that's why I and many others are still here. I've spent the better part of a month and a half building a community ship museum to show case designs and if its gone I'm going to flip tf out. I for one didn't come here to play a wipe I have well over a thousand hours into this and if you take away what I've built then I'm out. If they wipe I better keep my skills, my quanta, magic bps of EVERYTHING I own or its deuces and I will do my absolute best to ward off anyone remotely interested in this game cause this "beta" has already been ridiculous enough.
 
Yes schematics were a set back, but they are here and we are still playing it, keep playing around with stuff at that kind of level, i.e. wipe, and you won't have players to even consider discussing the subject of a wipe. All you cry babies whining we need a wipe because of such and such has too much quanta, stfu if they wipe and its doesn't completely destroy the population, those same guys are going to flock to any exploit they possibly can to get an advantage and will be billionaires within a month or 2 anyways. Any game that is this open world will have exploits there's no way around it and the only reason you are crying wipe is because you are a scrub. Just git gud. The people not crying wipe are the ones trying to build things in game that will be there for ever like the different monuments, libraries, super space stations, race tracks etc take away their time and effort and you take away your real player base, the ones that can get over the little hiccups because they no at least their sh*t will be there tomorrow.
