    Hello, 
     
    on september 18th I will do a charity stream and raffle for extra-life, the dontations go towards the childrens miracle network hospitals via extra life.

    I will start streaming during EU noon (about 12pm GMT) and then for about a day. There will be games and races and everybody is welcome to join. So far I planned
    -World championship for manual hoppers.
    -Unicorn race
    -Unicorn deathmatch arena
    -Idiot race
    -Timed parallel parking with large freight engines.

    Bit too much use of the word 'our' too, not sure who you are collectively speaker on behalf of.  I genuinely dont agree with a lot of this.  Noone can speak on behalf of the community, because it is so diverse.  Let NQ get on with it, they are improving.  Too many people still beating them over the head for historic failures.

    Well, I found a lot of DU fun so far, but this post is about the login page.
     
    From some of the posts here, I should probably take this login page with a grain of salt, but as far as I'm concerned, having this right there when I log in is way cool. I get to see some of the recent things that happened before I arrived and what I can look forward to now that I'm here. 
     
    And on a related note, the tutorial was fantastic! Spent about 20 mins a day on it the past few days and took notes. There seems like there is so much in DU, and I'm excited to start exploring it.

    Dont take this forum as a yard stick.  50% of posters quit the game some time ago and are just here throwing salt around "I dont like it, so noone else should" mentality.  The truth is that the game has improved a LOT in the last 3-6 months and progress seems to be improving.  I have just come back to play DU as my main game again (been dropping in and out for the last few months) as it finally looks like it is in a position to play.  Been doing a lot of the new content, such as roids, and they have add a lot to the game.

    Personally I am happy to pay, as i see this game as a long term investment, which I want to see NQ continue to work on, if you are not happy with that, of course that is your choice.

    The only thing I don't like about schematics is managing them. Can I just have one central schematic bank on a core that all the machines can access?

    Dont listen to a lot of people on this forum, a large number of them dont actually play the game, the quit a while ago and have been posting the same negative stuff on here for ages.  The population is ok for where the game is development wise, pretty sure that NQ will have a plan to get people in when the time is right.

    Completely disagree, as someone who has played as mainly a trader since alpha, schematics had a massive impact on supply and demand.  Making is FAR easier for smaller players to find niches in the market.  0.23 was bad for anyone who wanted to play the game solo, like it was a survival game, but it made a positive impact to market competition.

    Nice to be back, enjoying the game a lot at the moment, did you miss me x?

    Of course. Just like introducing various animals to planets, it would not require too broad writing of AI, unlike spaceships with physics in mind.
     
    The player hunting them would be able to get various mucus, skin, chitin and God knows what else. Different planets have different animals and loot. Subsequently, this could be implemented as new production schemes - bioimplants, armor, suits, etc.
     
    Implants - would increase, just like food, only on an ongoing basis, pumping speed or accuracy, etc. Would cost more and would be destroyed with your body on death. Unlike food. Well, armor suits, etc. - I even keep quiet .. the game has a huge potential, only so far the developers have not reported anything about it or even something like that.

    Yeah no wipe planned, but it hasn't been ruled out either. If they do wipe you'd likely be able to keep the blueprints in your nanopack at least.

    If NQ wanted to help players out a bit they would update the handling skills on the U.E.C. store ships. I had the same issue as a new player, those ships aren't very good because the handling skills are basically zero from what I've seen. They actually become pretty good for newer players after I slap max handling skills on them. But it shouldn't really take that.
     
    Maybe not max skills, but lvl 3 handling on those ships would go far for newer players. Especially because they are guided to the store so early. Or add some more stuff to that store like a monthly featured ship or three. ?

    Yes, it's probably been mentioned many times before but I'd like to see avatar combat in the game soon. Could make for some thrilling game experiences.
     
    I know there's other games that fulfill that function but I think it would be cool in an open-space game like Dual Universe.

    Yeah, don't need to worry about population until after release when it is ready to be advertised. This is the normal population, the beta release rush was the anomaly of people wanting to try the game out. The game's definitely not ready to hold much of a subscriber base.

    Do yourself a favour, if you leave, dont stink us this forum like that majority of bitter vets around.
     
    You are completely underestimating the market of the game and the number of people that actually know about it.  I must have 15-20 people who I am waiting to recommend the game to once it is ready.  I joined my old Mech Warriors clan the other day for a catch up, not a single one of them had heard of it. The game hasnt launched on Steam (which we have no idea if it is on the cards).  I still dont really see the game as live yet, so certainly not going to pronounce it dead.

    Dear NQ team,
    as the new docking mechanics are on its way i want to bring attention to an possible new element that brings docking to the next level and probably many players would welcome.
    A element dedicated for construct docking, similar to an RL airlock.
    Features of that element could be..
        -  Two elements would dock face to face
        -  ..result in a defined position of the docked constructs
        -  Allowes passengers to pass through
        -  Acts as material/fuel port
        -  Possibility to control docking, undocking, transfer of materials / fuels via API
        -  Enable docking of cores of equal size (L:L, M:M, ...), but break on movement
     
    The mechanics around such an element would greatly benefit the experience and immersion.

    Good afternoon, NQ!
     
    I have great feedback for you about your ship control interface in both pvp and pve. Maybe your interface designer will make the interface nominally for people. or read a book on designing game interfaces on the ergonomics of player decision making. Or he will play what he did and see what he has done himself. Or have a look at the interfaces of the games of the space genre. will understand a lot for himself. And also give a little feedback on your gameplay mechanics current in the pvp game.
     
    In normal companies, feedback from people pointing to problems in the game who play your product on a daily basis has a bearing on the development or planning of the company's patches, because this is the way to the success of the product. Many books have been written about this too. I think your founders are smart people and understand this.
     
    And so we went.

    1. PAIN! - Do you think normally when the player's screen is covered with blocks of yours (widgets) to pilot the ship? Do you justify this by saying that it is better to put some kind of custom lago script that heavily loads the CPU? I don’t think so, please make a normal default HUD for players according to the rules of space game design. I do not deny that scripts are bad, but still. I don't want to use 3rd party scripts. the game should provide me with the basic correct script, which was made by a professional in his field.
     
    2. PAIN! - Do you really think that your combat interface in pvp control from a gunner chair is convenient? This is not so, because every action in battle requires you to focus on mouse clicks. everywhere and everything. players with 2 hands we have a keyboard ... Please make it possible to select targets or switch them on the keyboard buttons. The choice of weapons is also on the keyboard, cannon COOLDOWN. I do not believe that this cannot be done adequately with the participation of the keyboard, and not just one mouse. In all games, you can keybind the control of weapons and targets. Please do not disgrace it is terribly inconvenient to click on the monitor in this awful interface, losing the focus of sight from piloting.
     
    Thank you for the attention! I hope my review will improve the game at least a little.

    I can kinda see how it would be a cheat way to brake by microwarping to a nearby body, but at the very least it should not put you on a collision course with the planet you're warping to.

    To participate in the subject, part of my team still occasionally plays the game, another part actively and some have temporarily stopped.
    Patience is strained but we are still waiting patiently.
     
    And it's true that over the past 3 months we've had more content than we've ever had, so hope is still alive I guess.
     
    Take a break if you're not enjoying the game right now.
     
    For me the black point is still a bit the performance and instability side of the game.
    But I have the impression that has been done better (voxel level of constructions) and that more will come (maybe with the end of holes and ores on the planets?)
     
    I'm really not sure that the fact that there is not more subscription will slow down the time they have in front of them. On a classic economic model you do not charge a beta. It's certainly more of a bonus for them than anything else at this point.

    0.23 patch had installed the broken element in crash of your ship eve in safe zone.
     
    that very good for economic impact and dynamic.
     
    you removed 0.23 because some player say it s not good, but those player dont understand in a game without PVE goal when we have everything and nothing lost we finish the game and leave.
     
    also DU is a build game, without destruction it s not possbile. it s mathematic.
     
    i buyed 300 ship from many different designer but now i m full, nobody wan buy it because everybody have already everything and can lost nothing.....

    I tried to find a related article but couldn't, so please excuse any duplication or ignorance on my part.
     
    I was just wondering why we can enter Build mode via VR, apply talents to a construct, exchange and use tokens, and interact with container inventories, but we cannot interact with industry machines?
     
    Is there a gameplay or technical reason? If I could do all these other things while in VR, it would seem obvious I could also start/stop, change schematics, etc, with industry machines too. It would certainly be helpful!
