  1. I believe that's what he meant, that's how it was explained in the devblog, each element gets 3 lives, except for containers which get 5. And for honeycombs, I didn't hear anything about the repair element, but I hope that will be working after the patch too.
  2. You can repair the core unit, just need to get or make some scrap, and use the repair tool on it
  3. I've never experienced false results on the territory scanner myself. Sometimes T1 can be as deep as T2-T3.
  4. 3) Gravity only happens when there are voxels or elements directly below the ship, if it is empty space it will float. Vertical boosters/engines also engage once you get close enough. 4) Arrow direction doesn't seem to matter 5) No
  5. NQ did mention in an interview that they had planned an industry manager feature, but it was cut due to other priorities. So maybe someday.
  6. Not saying you are cheating, it could be a bug with the anti-cheat thing they are using or a game file was changed somehow.
  7. I don't think there is anything unexpected happening with quits. Most people are short-sighted and impatient, so that combined with a slow development of an MMO in beta is not going to retain a lot of players for very long. There is still a long way to go with gameplay features. I imagine with each major feature update some players will come back, and eventually there will be more complete game loops.
  8. Could be the cheat detection thing. You could try reinstalling the game. Otherwise make a support request and wait.
  9. I think rockets are intended to be a niche item, they can help in min-maxing a ship build, I think people just don't know how or when to use them properly. They are an adjunct, not primary propulsion. I don't think comparing to XL space engine makes much sense, when rockets also work in atmo and are not a substitute for space propulsion. I use rockets on cargo ships for emergency power (it has saved me from crashing a couple times), and aiding atmo to space transition with a heavy load. I don't add more atmo engines or airfoils because that would add mass and make my ship less efficient for the rest of the 95% of the time I am flying the ship. When I do fire my rocket to get out of atmo I only need to use 5-10% of the fuel tank capacity, depending on how overweight my ship is. And the rocket talents do make a difference when you combine them. I have a 250t M core ship with 1 medium rocket engine, 1 large space engine and 2 large atmo engines, I recently used it to get off Thades with 900t additional cargo. I burned maybe 30,000 quanta worth of rocket fuel at market prices, or 10,000 ore value plus labor of crafting my own. Seemed worth it to me.
  10. Why would anyone even want gold scrap? It's the heaviest scrap. And don't dispensers tell you both what you get and what you pay before you continue, and you can press cancel?
  11. They used to but people always crashed into them and complained
  12. It's not really any different. I think any of the District markets, and and Marketplace 17.
  13. I'm guessing it's because people were building terrain walls and players wouldn't load them in fast enough before crashing into them. So I don't disagree with NQ for now, but outside of any safe zone it should be possible to salvage ships damaged by crash, or maybe even after a grace period if it happens in a safe zone.
  14. Unknown. I doubt it will, but it's possible it does right now if they haven't implemented a condition yet.
  15. It comes and goes for me, sometimes it seems stable and I can use linked containers, other times like today, it constantly looses and regains the link no matter how close or far away I am, and no matter if it is a hub or a single container link.
  16. OK I work in IT too but I don't assume to know all the causes and answers to NQ's problems.
  17. I found out about it from DU's Twitter, seems to be better place for those kind of announcements.
  18. All you need to do is delete the element and then backspace to undo, and it will get the improvement. But I wish you could just apply it in-place by right-clicking the element, or just update the whole ship and all of its elements at once.
  19. Ores might get scarce before NQ does something about it, but not a long term problem. Personally I have not encountered difficulty finding T1-T3 ores yet (haven't needed anything higher). I don't think NQ did a great job with ore distribution, they should've used the entire volume of the planets for ore nodes instead of the top 2km, and the mega nodes and top-tier should only be super-deep, like beyond container link range.
  20. Are you sure the caverns were previously ore nodes, or just empty caverns to begin with?
  21. Yeah, I don't know why they did that with airfoils, it is the opposite with engines and brakes which have better force to mass as you go larger.
  22. Did anyone test it with realtime output of core.getConstructMass()? I wouldn't trust the build tools mass.
  23. There is no regeneration currently, and according to past reports, T3 and higher might exist on some moons, but it is incredibly rare, even before anyone mined them
