Added a new augmented reality HUD for tracking the output and states of your factory's industry machines. This display is free forever, and simple to set up (you just need a programming board element).

The display can filter the view by status type, and you can filter with search keywords.. industry unit types or output product names (partial searches work). For more info, demo video here:

Please dont take the talent points. I agree that this is the reason for the paid subscription. I dont mind a wipe on everything else, and in talks with my org have even gotten a little excited at the prospect (and would thank you for tearing down some of the old constructs and that would have taken hours) but the talent points are ALWAYS the breaking point for me. We should absolutely keep those.

What has been most annoying about the last month with the game is absolutely the uncertainty. Take the feed back set a date where you will have the final conclusion.... GIVE US THAT DATE.... and we will wait to hear but not knowing is becoming more frustrating every time another post about this comes up.

Also please clarify on "removing schematics" because it sound like you mean doing away with the schematic mechanic entirely but I think you meant removing existing schematics that players have already purchased... Definitely want some clarification on that

Full wipe minus blueprints and talent points.

Older players will still have a massive advantage as a thank you for their dedication and time spent in the form of talent points. But the world itself will be a blank canvas for everyone.

Yea I don't understand why we need 100 of the same schematics for 100 of the same machine, it I buy the schematics them all my machine requiring it should have access to it Not a 1 for 1.

I'll keep my opinions about a wipe brief:

I don't like the idea of a full wipe. I've put thousands of hours into building my ship-selling operation. But I understand how a wipe could help. I'm resigned to the inevitability of it. I can deal with losing my money and my ship factory.

HOWEVER, don't take our talent points! We paid for those. They aren't resources. Taking them is basically deleting our character/account. Whatever advantage they provide, we're owed it. If talent points go, I'll go.

And I think removing schematics would be a bad idea. Every player could manufacture everything they need again, and the market would be pointless.

I'm shocked that wiping talent points is even a discussion. Players payed you a subscription for god's sake. Honestly with all the mess that beta has been this is the least that has to be done for people who kept supporting the game.
If talent points that have been accumulated through subscription are wiped or some other shady stuff implemented like tripling the amount of skillpoints required for the same skill I will
    1) Quit this game
    2) Make my mission to create as much bad pr among my friends as I can, so they and their friends know how "well" you guys treat their customers.

Vulnor reacted to Namcigam in All ship element stats should be doubled except for adjusters
All ship element stats should be doubled except for adjusters. Adjusters are the only ones that seem right in my opinion. This would help reduce the stacking issue which is a cause and effect problem not a builder problem nor is an exploit. Most players go heavy with brakes because they suck, especially once you leave Alioth. All of the "hybrid" atmospheres are the main reason players stack brakes space brakes don't fire up at all and the atmos brakes are close to useless. Stronger engines would reduce the wall of engines and reduce the over all cost of ships which could improve pvp participation, same can be said about airfoil and ground engines. They have needed help since I started playing shortly after beta. It's something that I've been thinking about over and over throughout the time I've spent playing the game. Last but not least ship elements should be ALOT more shock resistant we should be able to handle a slow collision or a rough landing. The way they are now it's like they are made out of highly explosive glass which never really made sense to me.

Vulnor reacted to J-Rod in Tool for rapid disassembling constructs
    Hello NQ,

The recent update has left many of us with the need to disassemble large numbers of constructs. I am sure many of you are with me when I say "Can we please have a quick disassembling tool for constructs?"

Many of us have hundreds of cores to disassemble, voxel and elements. If there were larger selection sizes with the voxel tools this would be more tolerable but as it stands we will spend great amounts of time disassembling.

It does not makes sense to me that I can instantly place a BP of something but if placed wrong or I have a need to redeploy I have to spend much time deleting and redeploying. There needs to be a way to remove a construct quicker than manually deleting all the voxel and elements.

I feel like this is an issue with most open world PvP games -- because the "strategy" is to always outgun the enemy. This tends to be how it goes in all games without structured PvP.

Much like real life, the correct strategy is to pick fights you know you can win vs. engaging in "fair" fights. That makes it boring and uneven for everyone, but is sort of human nature.

This is why MMOs have structured PvP, instead. It isn't as realistic, but it makes for a more interesting game. This is one reason I hate when there's too much focus on realism. Realism doesn't always (or often) make for good game structures.

In my opinion, there's no way to balance fully open-world PvP -- especially on a single-shard system where each ship is custom. Symmetrical, fair fights will likely be an accident vs. being the norm...no matter how they tweak weapons and defenses.

    Hi everyone!

    Just to let you know:
The reply to your feedback posted during the weekend and the past two days is taking a bit longer than expected (we're trying to reply to as many suggestions you made as possible), and should be released tomorrow or Thursday, February 3rd.

    Best Regards,

    @Warlander

You've clearly crossed a line with this kind of statement here.
The fact that you may be frustrated about the current situation is understandable, but that doesn't excuse everything.
There are forum rules, and you're clearly ignoring some of them. Inciting to devs harassment and/or see them fired? Not the kind of behavior accepted on this forum. Your forum posting rights are now revoked. You may appeal to this decision by reaching out to community@novaquark.com or the Customer Support, but unless you change drastically your mindset, don't expect any positive answer.

    @LeeRoyINC

... Except there isn't currently any financial issue in the company. The budget is tight but Novaquark is in no danger at the moment. The current limitations that are going to be implemented in game are meant for long term sustainability of the game (more info on that in the next reply from the dev team).
Due to the agressive tone, the intent to spread misleading information and blatant lies, and the lack of the most elementary respect for Novaquark staff, your forum posting rights are revoked. You may appeal to this decision by reaching out to community@novaquark.com or the Customer Support, but unless you change drastically your mindset, don't expect any positive answer. The fact that you may be frustrated about the current situation is understandable, but that doesn't excuse everything.

Vulnor reacted to Nikolaus in DU Factory Generator v4.0 - Now with talents, ore prices, and more!
Hello fellow Noveans! This is your friendly neighborhood coder, Nikolaus (Ephranor#8746), here with yet another big update to the DU Factory Generator:

    https://tvwenger.github.io/du-factory-generator/latest/

Given a set of items to build, this tool will determine a factory plan from raw ores to the final products. The factory is designed to support the production rates of all intermediate industries. Therefore, this is a factory plan that will maximize production efficiency even after production interruptions.

Some new features in version 4.0:
Support for talents! Calculate ore values of produced items Add some missing items Minor bug fixes and performance improvements   Give it a go and let me know what you think! If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Links to the Github repository and Discord server are on the bottom of the website.
    Happy building!

Vulnor reacted to Gottchar in Demeter 0.27 Release - Discussion Thread
So while I am unable to log in anyway, here my thoughts about Demeter so far:

-Mining units are fine for the most part, it would be nice if charge gain and calibration loss was both halved, just so that you dont have to log in every single day. We all know I will anyway, but the game shouldnt persuade you that hard.

-Headquarters are nice enough, it will just take a week or two for people to finally understand the concept "you still have to pay to have machines active, it is just immune to loss".

-I have noticed no difference regarding loading times or other benefits of the dirt reset, but plenty of other people are amazed they can now "VR someplace, or use scanners, like other people can". I wasnt even aware it was so shit for some others.

-Was still not able to find the "element overlapping" sign anywhere.

-But I do now have some weird bar across the minimap, even outside build mode, is that it? ?

-You got rid of mass info while flying, I liked checking my total cargo there, when I forgot to long to container or just have multiple hubs. This is not even in the patch notes, was it on purpose?

-I dont see updates on the updated roadmap.

-Not sure what rendering change there is to industry units, I had a good look when restart machines for 4 hours after the downtime, but they are still the same. And still show the wrong light colours and like to just get fucked all the time.

    -Force field change is nice.

-Underwater landing is even harder now, because water is muddier.

-Most of the "UI" polish is hard to judge without direct comparison, I really cant tell.

    -Space fuel XS, nice.
    -
Mining unit collision is massively bigger a few seconds after deploying. So if you place a few, you then have to rearrange them so they dont overlap.

-Added "view market page"! Hell yes, thx guys, I think most people didnt even notice this one yet.

-People who made DSATs had their 60M schematics turned into 3M schematics without compensation.

-People who owned DSATs, had their 16M items turned into a 1.7M item, with no compensation.
Instead of just introducing a new basic DSAT that only works on basic and common asteroids. Solving the same issue, but without fucking some people over.

-VR-mission change: There are two kinds of people (with some overlap) who do the big moneymaker missions.
Car-pool guys, where 20 people VR to one guy with a ship to take and turn in the mission.
Alt guys, where a guy and his 20 alts do the mission.
The car pool guys at least did something that, while imbalanceds in the game, was in theory available to everybody, you got rid of that. The Alt guys can continue unhindered. Why not use one of the working solutions?

    -Weapon changes: Nobody bloody cares.
I did the extremely hard math and found out that there are more engines in use than weapons, why not balance those for once? Just put pvp balancing on ice for now, it is a bottomless pit for dev time in some dirty shitcorner of the game most people dont visit anyway.

-Plenty of DC, lag, prolonged wait time, inability to log in, which I guess goes away in a day or two anyway.

Can you please hire a guy with the only job being to point out how something might be shit?  This game has issues, you come up with solutions, those solutions however often are flawed and turn out worse than the issue they try to fix. The dedicated "pointing out how this could be shit"-guy, would help.

    2 Quick points:

    1) 1m per week per tile is WAAAAAY too much

    2) When introduced, Headquarter Tiles were touted as being Org related. Now they are personal use. I would strongly suggest they need a different name more aligned with their function to avoid confusion such as Residence Tile, or Personal Tile, Estate Tile.

    PS:
While on the subject of renaming maybe the patch should be renamed:
    "Make Sanctuary Great Again!"

They could easily create depth ranges per ore or ore tier and intentionally cut down on AGG scanner crews using huge ships laiden with tons of elements for landgrabbing that cant go below 1km to not only see higher tiers but to make everything you scan using that to force people to land and if your AGG scanner ship is stacked for containers way heavier than you can relyably fly with as is it makes a lot of sense and I support that.

I also propse that scanners also use the Miner Charges to opperate them to slow it down further since itis mining equipment and should also be tied to that system so you cant scan a whole planet vs 10 tiles every 35 hours if you dont intend to use the miners vs just claiming tons of tiles.

I also propose that the Asteroid Scanners also use the miner charges to find asteroids to allow for competitions so that you can only find so many and are forced to choose between auto miners, scanning, or asteroid scanning.
