Can I haz your stuff?

Everyone here has paid to be in this game one way or another and they have the right to offer feedback, post suggestions and join in on ANY conversation they like.  It is simply not your place to tell them otherwise.

They could just create 2L, 3L and 4L engines that are 2x, 3x and 4x longer and heavier and provide 2x, 3x or 4x boost. no need to change their profiles, just extrude the shapes out longer. I know how NQ loves minimum work required solutions. they'd just be 2x 3x and 4x expensive, heavy, etc.

Or they could allow elements to be stacked inline from front to back and combine their thrusts. (note, by stacking, I don't mean glitching) i.e.  lay them along the length of the vessel and add their thrust to the unit directly behind it.

a boarding party mechanic: when shields come around, the shields might have to go down to go in, or you have to disable a certain module they introduce later on... that would be good.
 
also a few other questions for NQ:
-how will the docking pulses work around markets? there is a fear of bouncing ships everywhere
-will the process of new docking be any different with static structures?

Incorrect. You are speaking of things you have no insight into. It would be very easy to create gameplay mechanics to disable/disrupt this.  Don't jump to all doom and gloom and have a little imagination.

I agree with the changes and we very much needed a solution to some major docking issues currently faced, especially in space.  However I'm hoping that this will not affect pirates ability to dock/manuever a destroyed ship onto their carrier in order to stop it from moving at 30k km allowing you to replace the core and acquire salvage from it. If you have to set RDMS permissions each time, this will have a serious negative affect on PVP in general.

It's like you woke up, put on a left sock, got an alarm that the Staff of Wisdom struck again, and just ranted some crazy nonsense no doubt connected to your dreams of Blazemonger terrorizing you witb chopsticks and voxel checkerboard... and then you went to have a smoke on the balcony and realized you were butt naked.

This will lead to a Post release AVA problem but thats nothing more than disabling the repulse in contested territories.
 
Not tested yet but something is missing here. If someone unauthorised approches in a shuttle, there should be a quick fire request 1 time authorisation to dock and the parent owner gets to accept or reject. Anyone interested in Taxi services, giving newbies rides etc etc should not have to mess about with RDMS pages every time, thats mind numbing.

RIP future pvp actions on ships. You literally killed this gameplay with this option.

While the docking is nice, I am firmly against the Eject players.
 
SInce the dawn of time, stowaways have been a staple of history. If someone is able to infiltrate a ship, they should be able to.

No one wants to play a game where you don't know where it's safe to leave your stuff, and where it's not.
 
That's not risk.  It's just bad design.
 
A player left their ship somewhere that they were told it would be completely safe, and another player exploited a bug, in a new system designed to stop people from maneuvering their ships into space, and moved the ship, without the owner's permission, which is not supposed to be possible, at all.
 
The thief knew that there is not supposed to be any way to move another players ship outside the safe zone without their permission.  
 
Should be a simple decision for NQ
 

that's bizarre and sad, too... if right click copy lua config to clipboard doesn't work with his script then he would need to install it by manually typing the script into every PB that needs it. that seems like a lot of trouble to go to...
 
but as a major contributor, that's absolutely his prerogative. abusing bugs to hijack a ship is just sad.
 
i had a german player heist a ship of mine using a since quashed bug.. he wanted a meeeeelion credits or he would deconstruct it and steal the container contents.... kinda annoying but heyho

supposed to be fixed now, can you confirm?
