  1. Wish there were still kickstart options by the time I discovered the game ?

You only have their word it’s going to be released Open Source once complete not sold for profit. rather than returning it to them directly, post it on one of the open source discord’s and give them the link to the post. therefore you know it’s going open, they get their code back, AND now there is a copy in case they lose it again
  3. Schematic points! every day of running a machine, or making a certain number of things in nanopack gives you some schematic points. These points can can only be spent on schematics you already know, or connect directly to one you already know. you start nanopack until you get enough points to get your first refiner schematic etc. You can then create schematics to increase your factory, or to sell on the open market. yes large orgs can have big factories and tune out more points faster, but of course they can, they are bigger and have more resources. It wouldn’t make sense to cripple them for being a collective. But it means you can focus towards the stuff you want by doing industry stuff, rather than going mining to buy a schematic. It also moves schematics into the player market rather than the bot market. Yes it will mean a long time to get a warp beacon schematic for a single player, but it will be done by making and selling stuff rather than digging ore which isn’t a industry thing. Also how about a few missions which involve finding and delivering goods. 10k screws to Feli, a large assembly to Madis, bunch of basic electronics to Ion etc.
  4. I think it was two hard on new players trying to learn to fly. How long do you think they would stick around if their speeder was destroyed and all the parts needed to be replaced by the ti e they managed to drag their first over loaded shipment of surface collected ore back to the Sanctuary market place? I think it would be a good thing for more experienced players. But you can’t say ok, they have played for X hours, they are now experienced. As people learn at different speeds. I still think the best solution would be have it for M and L cores, and not have it for XS and maybe even S cores. I’m a factory guy, so I would benefit from every small ding destroying your vehicle; but the game wouldn’t benefit. Also, how about Voxel damage in regular crashes. Adds character, but doesn’t penalise players as much as element death.

Are AGG supposed to be a market item, or are they supposed to be an item to give a org an advantage if they pool their resources so that they can make them? somebody was talking about the AGG market was a small monopoly and the prices were crazy. I agree. I looked at the prices a few days ago. Now this is all from memory, so I may have the product wrong, but from memory they were selling for about 60 Mil. I did the math quickly with dual dot sh, and I think my production cost would have been under nine million. I was thinking that’s crazy markup! but I looked further, the price of the schematics to set up a production line for those is crazy due to schematics. Somebody who is interested, do some math. Work out what the production time and cost is for one unit. Then determine how many you could make in one year if your production line ran 24/7/365. Now assume every one you made you easily sold. You now have a yearly production cost and a yearly production number. Now determine how much it would cost to set up that production line. Ignore the cost of machines etc as that is trivial compared to the schematics. Just determine the cost of schematics to make one per manufacturer cycle. That price is crazy high. now let’s say we want %30 profit. Let’s be honest that’s reasonable. But most try for lots higher. How much would the sale price be if you wanted to make a %30 profit and pay back your expenses in one year. Now we have a fair price; how good or bad is it compared to the current price. I may do the figures when I get home from work if nobody does before then. This begs the question, are these crazy high cost items really there for mass purchase, or are they there for orgs who can go together and put up the investment capital to be able to buy the schematics so that they can offer there members something cool which is t on the market. same thing probably goes for warp beacons, exotic weapons/engines etc. Sales items or advantages that a large org can offer its players?

Maybe when missions show up they could do missions like source and deliver 10KL of screws to Feli Market Place 1 or something. im not a game developer, so I can’t offer solutions. i have a reasonably good size factory, but I’m always broke. my problem is I like factories but I don’t like the market stuff. also when you look at the market and think I can’t sell there, a lot of sales go on behind closed doors. Im in an org, and nearly all of my sales are build requests from other guild members on the discord. This means the orders or products never make it to the market place.
  8. Same problem. I run at %150, and the bottom of the screen where the play button is can’t be seen, and the left hand side hangs over the screen to the left. Luckily for me I run a second monitor at normal %100 so I can force windows to move the starter program over to there so I can press play.

Been pretty harsh recently flying to busy places like markets and larger cities, which is a pain as my toon lives in one. while I’m flying I keep seeing things around me rendering. heres and idea, when somebody is in a ship, flying, and has their destination set, how about putting like %25 or what of their rendering resources into rendering that location and around it. while it won’t always be the case, there is a good chance that the destination is where they are planning on going. it may mean the trip is a little less interesting/rendered, but that isn’t as important as where they are planning on landing. is there a flaw in my idea?

NQ are still adding features so aren’t putting effort into balancing yet I suspect. like a lot of industry needs rebalancing for example. but since a lot of people are treating it as an active game rather than a developing alpha called beta then they are failing because the parts required to sustained haven’t been added or balanced yet. if it was still an alpha people would be a lot happier. But since people are paying to play they expect a more balanced finished game. really need to admit they messed up, return to alpha and do a very heavy marketing push to get more kick starters. The problem is is not enough money to develop two many different paths at once, so the balancing and polish aren’t being looked at.
  13. Are a Elite dangerous system. You request Docking, you are assigned a pad, you try to land anywhere else you get shot. then just have a time limit on the pads, or do what ED does, and have the pad lower you I to a large parking area and lock your ship, so only way to fire it up again is request departure, at which stage your ship is moved up to a suitable pad and you have a time limit to clear it
  14. Yip, we want blue prints which don’t have a core, so are deployed in an existing core (which you naturally have rights to build on)

Der need to be able to jettison cargo. right now if you aren’t in a optimised fighter, if a pirate finds you you may as well just turn off your res node and leave, because there are no mechanics to give you a chance escaping a combat ship. If there was cargo pods which could be jettisoned from the ship, but go at a good speed or have a limited life, then at least you could try to drop some cargo. This then forces the pirate to either keep pursing the ship, or chase the cargo, knowing they aren’t going to get both. Currently there really is no point in not destroying your cargo before you die. Also give us a self destruct option. way back in old sail times they would shuffle a ship rather than let it be taken. Now times modern warship can be self destroyed. Why in the future have we all of a sudden made it impossible. Of course make it costly. A costly heavy element for your ship, so it’s an option, but it co es at a cost of weight. And the when/if element targeting becomes a thing, it will be one of the prime elements to take out quickly.
  16. No problem with that and my system. Leave T1 and T2 ores form surface collection on the safe zone planets. For the higher tier ores, have surface collection, but on the non safe zone planets. Currently all the planets are safe zones, but I believe that is supposed to only be temporary. So when they stop being safe zones, you have two options for surface gathering, 1. Gather on hex’s which you own... works straight into the territory warfare plans 2. Gather on free hex’s, and watch out for PvPers cruising the planet looking for you and your ship to rob
  17. Don’t want to make the game to simple. maybe formXS and S cores, but anything bigger and you should have enough experience to get around the issues. you could always talk to the Lua hub guys. They have auto land and stuff. Add a feature that if you have a transmitter and your destination has a receiver it could act like a control tower and highlight your landing area.
  18. When you first start, you go surface gathering to get you started. once you learn about underground mining and get a little practice you don’t go back. Why? Because the amount of time vs rewards is completely different. the only time you go back to surface gathering is when you crash, and you have no scrap, or your scrap is in a disabled container. Then you hope you can find a nearby hex you can do some quick gathering to make enough low tier scrap to get you going. Its a shame as it is a system which NQ must have put good development resources into. It’s also relaxing and fun zipping around the surface. It’s just not worth hardly anything. I propose that all of the ore levels on a planet (or moon) be available for surface gathering. Rather than have people going down holes look g formT5 ores, let there be a fair and reasonable amount on the surface. While it won’t ever compete with mega mining, at least let the high tier ores compete with regular mining down deep. Maybe even add some talents for it. Bring back surface mining, not just for newbies.
  19. Yip, have two levels of org membership. Org owner, one. Org member everybody else. the have Every option that a super currently have be an option in RDMS then you can just make different groups via RDMS and add/remove people as needed. currently their are two many useful abilities that only Legates can do, but giving them the rank gives them so many other rights at the same time
  20. I’d like to be able to tow a space core. What kind of space station can’t be moved when needed!

I want inefficient nitrogen generators I want efficient but smoky Kergon Generators I want clean but costly Xeron Generators I want green options like Solar and Wind I want to dig a W km hole, make L cores all the way down and have a clean baseline thermal generator. But most importantly I want to be able to export power from on core to another. I don’t care if it is power lines or one of sight power transmitters. I want to be able to make power stations and send/sell the power around the hex or maybe even further. maybe I play Sim City to much?
  22. Or they could do what they did when they decided they were over priced, just refund the purchase price of the schematic. The way they did it last time was that the person who purchased it got money back, which caused a lot of issues with people complaining if they brought them off somebody else for fill price. So I’d advise if they did it again, to refund to the person/org which currently owns them now orgs have their own wallets.
  23. There are already sites selling them for cash. They insist they are not breaking the EULA, but then again it is their business model so they are going to naturally say that. buying game resources for real money is always a sticky and hotly debated topic in any game. personally I’d rather buy them from NQ to help them operate than buy them from a third party. But currently im just down a hole a lot, because I like playing factories, but schematics aren’t cheap ?
  24. I personally think a wipe is needed, but would probably receive two much hate for them to be able to pull it off. so instead they need a clean up system. Let’s admit it, look around any hex close to a market place which can be claimed, they are claimed for miles. Look at any nice lake, all the spots are claimed for miles. we have a nice city, maybe five hex’s worth. Right next to it, great place for expansion is a claimed hex with one building. Guy joined beta, got into it for two weeks, then he left. Never to return two weeks into beta. That’s prime realestate that can never be claimed since NQ changed their mind and made all of Alioth a safe zone. This raises a different issue. We were told that if our subscription lapse, when we resubscribe all of our stuff will still be there. I’d be gutted if I took some time off and came back and all my hex’s were gone. But I suspect NQ would get a lot less push back about somebody not being online for six months having all their possessions magic blue printed than they would a wipe. Plus let’s be honest, in the long run they really are going to need to come up with a system dealing with departed players and their stuff, unless they just keep opening new solar systems and the active playerbase just moves to the new one each time one is released.
  25. I don’t know if it’s dead yet, but my main concern is we’re going to have another playerbase purge if they don’t pull something cool out of somewhere before Starbase goes early release. More and more people are starting to talk about it on our discord.
