I just wanna show how it could be easy to add this 4 icons, they already add the function to see your friends/orgs mate when you mouse over a core, they already add another color on icons for dynamic constructs with the green version of it and they show red and blue icons in a promotional video… Imho devs lost more time with the obstruction of radar than with this needed implementation.

     

    They can obviously dev something better than what I propose but I just want it, even if they use the simpliest one.

    By priority order:
    NQ Staff > Green (like actually)

    It's the first MMO where I can't clearly see my ennemies/allies, I take 2 minutes for color them on GIMP, with 5 minutes you can have a nice icon for sure.

  3. The forbidden area around alien core is a bug, they work on it but without a patch we have to play without the right to deploy a dynamic construct near them yep.

    Btw the 2nd alien core attack was another no fight, nobody show up, I hope we will got something one day 😕

    That's not a good look for DU. The game is a mess. It needs to be more dynamic.

    Not sure what alien cores add to the game, TBH, if it just takes a minute to overcome them, they seem pretty pointless to me.


    Sound was messy, we (SNS) talk in french and I got the Legion coms in the same time... in english so... :D
    I need to setup my stream for dodge this problem on stream but until we really got content, I will not try hard my stream setup, sorry ^^'
    Out of this, you just can see SNS capital ship with 6 docked M core who arrive to the alien core, I undock my ship and my radar show all our allies, a scout ship come and instant die from my allies and that's all, we wait 20 minutes and we back home, with less motivation and less arguments for keep our players ingame.

  4. Alien core can be a good feature... If only players really need to fight for them, let me show you what we will really have 99% of the time:

    Why defend a station is a waste of ressources and time?
    - Shields are too low, we can't wait for our ennemies before moving
    - So we will need to travel 300SU+ or warp our entire fleet each time we have to defend, even for nothing
    - Ship aren't protected when dock on a station with a shield (??) - This can help ppl with lot of job/kids or else to setup their ship when they can
    - If we take at least 2 core we have to defend an alien core each day
    - If we want to attack, we add another timer where we need to be, again it can be each day
    - Why we don't have a combat free timer after we win a defense?

    With your wipe talk without ANY DECISION, with your patch against any PVP mechanic or method, a big nocare about some of the oldest bugs known in DU... We don't have any other content outside of alien core in PVP now.
    We send plenty of idea/feedback for a better PVP or more confortable, we tryhard each PTS for help, report each bug/exploit find even if that lead to another nerf of our content
    How can we keep our players hype for Dual Universe?
    Why NQ stay so quiet? (Entropy did a nice feedback but only around voxels and shields for PVP but some other part are missed)


    Our ennemies got the same problem, maybe more because we are really lucky to have so many ppl still active on DU. Don't kill your game, listen us, don't stay focus on your ideas if everyone say it's not the good way and talk with your community.

    The "avoidance" you're referring to involves a huge detour. At max, sub-warp, speeds, evading isn't an option. Smaller ships go faster now, but most of the people in PVP space are hauling something. The only avoidance we have is to hope their ship heavier, we're going faster than them, and our shields hold out. The minute we slow down it's over. This isn't PVP, it's target practice.

    I'm not asking them to nerf piracy. It makes the game exciting. I'm asking them to make pirates work for it, to make PVP fun for everyone. Not just spending quanta because they didn't catch any fish.

    I have a simple question: have you tried piracy?
     

    This question involves understanding if you realize that a PVP player has to be a basic PVE player;
    He needs ammunition, fuel, warpcells, elements (high tier engines/weapons/radar) and for that, he makes as much effort or more than any other PVE player.
    A pirate spends a large part of his time in the PVP zone, whether it is to scout, camp or intercept a ship and sometimes he fights against other players; the losses of time, quanta, lives on the elements or just a simple ship are not negligible. A PVE player who launches a route in the PVP zone just has to afk and wait to do the route in a straight line, most of the time with a script and he can do something else on the side. Because if we criticize the fact that the pirates have too simply kills and if you said that making a detour to avoid a pipe takes too much effort, it's bullshit.
     

    To criticize the fact that a pirate does not always take the time to dialogue with his victim to find common ground is to forget that:
    - There is no way to contact a pilot BEFORE destroying his ship, if you could just "right click" on a ship icon and open a chat window, why not
    - 95% of the time the victim wants trashtalk more than calm talk, accusations of cheating are also very common
    - We maybe just don't have the time to talk


    To conclude; the PVP zone must be a lawless zone, piracy MUST be the main activity there and create a need for hauler security via mercenaries or alliances or even create conflict zones around an attack in order to secure a ship destroyed. Piracy must also be the most accessible PVP gameplay because new players or single players wanting to get into PVP must have the choice of learning PVP alone against haulers or other pirates. There will be no bot to fight against, remember that.

    Instead of wanting to redesign piracy to make it more complex, redesign your gameplay and ships. Don't go out into the PVP zone unarmed or unescorted, get closer to an alliance with which you can call for help and have players who intervene to rescue you... Don't be what you criticize: players looking for ease.

  6. I must admit that a post like this was what I would have liked to see before, being able to speak with devs and understand your vision is important but also being aware that you are reading and analyzing our feedback. Thx for that.
     

    From my point of view; the speed limitation equation by the mass of the ships need to be less rude, to allow to have competitive ships with some voxel and a skin/identity, not just a stack of elements, your orientation pushes too much to lose all what is best designed in DU: the construction and the voxel.
     

    Shields should be limited by core size; Shield L for core L only, M for core L and M etc..
     

    I sent a TTK video test to Deckard regarding tanking a ship with voxel and taking the whole box of an L core, it dies in 20 seconds with a good focus, during a fleet fight with 100% hitrate from anywhere, having ships with so many weaknesses (large cross section, slow, expensive in HC and elements ...) which become throwable and it's clearly not a solution. You need a real balance, the small ships are very powerful due to the misses, weapon damage are really too high for allowing another meta if you change anything.

  7. It would just kill the interest of holding the field or the points of interest that the defense of these ships creates. The problem is the low interest in voxeled ship in the meta, with CCS, elements will die with the voxels and their placement/protection will be important.. don’t ask for « solution » who will just give us more broken items, less interesting fleet fight organization and before anything else without solving the main problem, the meta ship without voxel.

    Problem related to PVP AND PVE groups. And actually we don't ask to delete all SZ or being able to kill each player who use warp or on an outer planet. We just ask for content when PVE players just ask for block even more our only avaible one.

    As always, don't judge it with our side, try to check the global problem and what each player want and what frustration that create. Devs want a good PVP gameplay, they don't want to split both community too, but it's not actually ingame. That's the main problem on every drama.

    I don't think you took the time to read my post and understand, while the mission I put up was PVP related, I have no problem PVPing with you. Dead things should DIE.   This post is referring to consistent bullying behavior, followed by I cant believe you would say " insert Screen Shot". 


    No insults, but apparently you just wanna create a random drama against Legion/NG, I will not follow you for that. You are the perfect example of how players who hate PVP can go beyond the limits for try to make his remarks relevant.

    Piracy is a necessary thing in itself, it gives meaning to the PVP area and forces players to play around it and not just take a pipe as an extension of the SZ.

    It just needs to be something simple and accessible for new players/solo players and add content for large groups of PVP players (like Territory Warfare, SpaceMarkets etc...) with real interest to keep these positions.


    But not to force PVP players to do just that and have to deal with large groups in order to be able to try out PVP and make it more accessible/attractive.


    Killing players isn't a bad thing, I've killed lot of people and never had bad dm with them, Orbidity and many others can attest to that. There are excesses on all sides in terms of behavior, until recently we were insulted and compared to certain unsympathetic IRL event actors by players who did not like PVP. Just stop think DU is for only one side, DU is for both.

  10. Like always when I read a post from someone who only looks at his feet: it's nonsense.

    Open your eyes on what the game is actually, what players got in SafeZone or with warp and what PVP players got in content. NG and Legion are not a problem, they create content for everyone, like each other PVP group. Without this, the game will lost all his interest and it's like wanted a full SZ game. We got too many ressources, all available in SZ, no relevant market loop with MU and without life lost in PVE.

    NQ actually ~only patch PVP side with many nerfs, breaking all our tools for having fun, they work on it and the future patch was for them. Having ppl like you who cry for each unarmed kill when each player got a warning when they enter in PVP space and all this free ressources in SZ is lame. You can't every time force NQ to ruin our gameplay for your only pleasure and ask us for behind a good guys who accept it and say nothing.

    Think about PVE AND PVP, try to find a solution for a cool interaction system, create mercenaries who can escort new players or claim a moon for help them (like Serenity does), put bounty on our face, setup beacons etc... Create something usefull like you did with Sybilly but don't ask NQ to cancel again and again everything we create when it's not what you want or accept our salty side against players like you.

    Weapon/Ammo container and ammo are in my nanopack, you can add a radar too if you want, it's just a boring solution.

    But the real question is... Are you really afraid about compact trolling or roid? x'D

The "extractions efficiency" and "calibration charge efficiency" talents don't work in VR, like missions, you don't think this will worsen the imbalance between players with one/few accounts and those who abused with 40+ alpha key or else by being able to leave his characters on site or in the mission ship?


    This update is really difficult for new players, they can no longer easily use the services of other players for missions, especially in PVP where the presence of a foreigner on a ship is dangerous.

    VR is like using a robot remotely, how can you not carry a simple package with them and put it in a container? ;)

    The changes in PVP are too weak and misguided to encourage interesting gameplay. He pushes people to play alone, in a ship without voxel, as small as possible and we lose everything that made the charm of DU, the multi crew.

    You have to review the functioning of the shield and the CCS, understand what your game can support the most and orient your balance around that, to allow all kinds of gameplay and not just single player gameplay.
     

    Do you think that a new round table around PVP would be possible? With the different groups that are involved in it, pirates as well as hauler pilot or roid miners.

    Do you plan to leave friendlist lock that won't refresh? Because to follow allies on the move or in combat, it has become very hard.

    After some feedback and explanation I have the impression that you are not taking the time to read our feedback in full.

    When I see "There are two important things to note in regard to this change. First, since mining-related talents will become obsolete, those points will be refunded and can be used elsewhere."
    I see the Railgun fitting capacity 50000, so for 3 weapon it take 150000 without talents, so now Railgun L capacity handling hightest level are useless, and some other talent link to weapons are useless too. It's not a meta problem, it's just your changes who let us with 3.000.000+ talent points obsolete, AND I JUST TALK ABOUT RAILGUN L, so imagine for the rest.
    I see the Control unit capacity handling
    etc etc etc...

    And you got this problem on so many change you add without thinking about the time people take to up them.

    You don't want us to be able to adapt to a new meta? Ok, but then why mining skill are reset? Asteroids are still here for them. I don't understand this contradiction. And we are on a beta, where the whole economy is ruined by the duplication of high-tier voxels, the duplication of objects on the markets, schematics "offered" with market bugs, exploits with challenges, mission warp... All these abuses that haven't corrected on time and some have managed to profit from for months (and I didn't talk about people with 40+ free alt account for mission). We all know you will need to do a total wipe or this imbalance will be preserved. So why make this beta an experiment aimed at testing our mental resistance? xD

    Think about people who just enjoy this game, think about people who don't have 40 alt account, we just talk here about talents. Add a button with a high cooldown who allow us to reset them or reset them when you broke their utility.

    I love how you take care about carebear and I still love PVP even with all this bugs we have to deal with, but if you don't add gameplay loops other than simple farming, then try not to scare away the few players who remain loyal to you and who make the effort to get into PVP.

  14. Hi, imho with the change and the mining unit you can add some ressources on asteroids.

    1. Add a low chance of T1 Meganode in T4 asteroids and higher in T5 asteroids
    2. Add asteroids on Symeon/Ion/Lacobus
    3. Don't allow PVP asteroids spawn at less than 10SU of the safezone
    4. Add a button for stop the DSAT (with a dynamic cross section who reduce when you stop it)
    5. Don't add asteroids only on Saturday and Sunday, but throughout the week with a duration of 7 days per asteroids. Giving more interest to the rest of the week and not concentrating all the activity on these two days only.

  15. @Draqolas I would just like you to sit down and explain the evidence you have on Legion abuse. (and by evidence, I mean not a random screen of a radar screen x'D)
     

    I can assure you that 3/4 of our kills are simply due to the fact that people make mistakes or have a lack of experience in PVP, the rest is only time that we invest in the game, in camping or checking roids. PVP zone isn't supposed to be an area where people love each other and don't shoot each other, you need pirates, you need risk and right now PVP costs more to pirates than to victims, so why are you complaining?
     

    Sneaky Snake does not only attack Legion, he also attacks all the haulers possible (check his video >.>) and this from the beginning of the game, thinking that without Legion the PVP will be easier and that your friends will not be killed is an utopia. (On his video against the Legion Argosy, they all have the Legion tag, they use it to make you believe it's us and you follow them like sheep without trying to understand the troll)
     

    At Legion we have not increased our number of org since the start of the beta, by leaving AC we even reduced our number a lot (imagine if we still be allied with IC / ZC / STC / DSI  ...), our goal is not to be the only power, we just want to do some good PVP fight and therefore, we leave the possibility to the players to fight our "supremacy" by allying themselves and easily exceeding our number.
     

    You can say whatever you want, Legion is a necessary threat, if one day we disappear after your attempts to make this game boring and irrelevant, you will realize your mistake but no one will come to dry your tears.
