That was my thoughts as well. In the beginning  I had a large thriving community and now only a few check in every once in awhile. Hopeful for the future though.

They have helped me several time as the super legate of Chem Dogs. I have had leadership leave and being unable to demote is a big issue. I hope your ticket gets checked out. They used to get tickets done pretty quickly, I haven't been that active recently though. I used to post every couple hours on the support section in the discord and they always said they can't escalate but it would get solved much more quickly if I kept badgering them.

This is what we know so far.
According to this site, 2 days ago JC got replaced as President of NovaQuark by a Mr Nicolas Granatino. And this Nicolas person is one of the owners of a VC company that is the lead investor in NQ.

Istanicas reacted to Rimezx in Please tell me this is not a series of bot placing?
It has been like this from the start. That is how they injected quantas into the economy in the first days of the beta. With their new schematics prices this is required if enough money is to somehow get generated in order to buy expensive schematics (which are sold by bots meaning the quantas disappear from the economy). It could work without bot orders if they only relied on the daily 100/150k from the start and let the players trade with those. Market prices would be according to that, money would have different value and problem solved. But now that people already posses large capitals there is nothing to be done.

The problem with this approach is that mining (world resources) vanish from the universe and they do not respawn. At start they had bots buying all elements which is like a country printing money out of thin air and paying everyone. If they add those again money value slowly changes and money becomes worthless. That is why everyone was keeping ore instead of money.

What can be done is to remove those orders from the player market and add them to a separate npc market. Doesn't really make any difference. These are equivalent to vendors in other games. They just dictate the value of the currency. Although changing their price immediately alters the value of held capitals from all players, that is why they need to be careful.

As i said in another post they need to hire a real economist. Seriously. This game's economy is obviously too complex for the devs to handle correctly. The economy is totally unstable. Worst kind of conditions for someone to make an investment.

    What am I looking at?

There have always been bot buy orders for ore, outside the daily login bonus it's the only source of quanta in the game. This isn't new.

Create a repair bot tree that will train up to repair various elements using various tiers of scrap, including levels of autonomy while landed and/or flying on dynamic constructs.  Eventually, expandable to static constructs, this will be in support of the repair station currently serving as a paper weight.

The fact NQ considers the Linked container range a "problem they need to address" because using the range to collect ore while mining is "not intended behavior"
So here we have out next big nerf.. NQ will bring the max range for linked containers down to a point they no longer are usable in mining.. say 250-300 meters tops

Funnily enough, you sound butthurt. I am fine, either way, as I am just typing here as I await scans.

No statement of mine was erroneous, as I have already explained to you. You simply read into them what you did. Instead of accept my explanation and further clarification, you continued to argue otherwise. That's on you, not me.

Yes, my statement of "reality bends to the game" is an actual consideration when creating games; more correctly it is the maneuvering between realism and playability, which has existed in the modern gaming world since at least the 1960s, but began with H.G. Well's "LIttle Wars" and Fletcher Pratt's naval wargame rules from the 1920s. Thus my statement is not a contradiction at all. Games and simulations base on the real world need to also consider the game or playability aspect, otherwise it would not be fun. I acknowledge reality this with my statement.

Yes, this totally avoids sounding at all condescending or verging on insulting. In my case, I just laughed.  I'll insert here that the theorized tachyon particles are argued by many to be faster than light, but so far none can prove they exist. But I digress.

Again, not at all condescending in your mind, at least. As such condescension is generally found to be insulting by the greater population, I imagine you declare yourself guiltless in this matter.

I am not offended, because I refuse to give that power to anyone, being that to be offended one must allow oneself to become so. That you maintain otherwise is, again, your call, but I am sincerely not offended. I just believing in treating people like for like, especially on the internet.

You are verging on the obtuse here.

I established a baseline, a foundation, and then built from that point. You have read far more into what I wrote in that regard and refuse to accept my correction of your misapprehension. We can approach 1.0c or light speed, or as I wrote accelerate to it (or towards it if that is more helpful to you). People have an conceptualization to greater or lesser degrees of what that is, and is therefore a useful point from which to start a discussion on speed or velocity in space. It is also useful to mention as my suggested change includes .3c or maybe even .5c as the new maximum speed limit, but mentioning what "c" is before hand, helps to ensure we all understand the context of the points of argument.

I do not care that you disagree, but you have failed to state in this thread why you do. That's as useful as popping in to write "NO!" and leaving. There's nothing substantial there, and is just as easily dismissed as trolling.  Disagree with substance, not with snide remarks.

Point of fact, you really just jumped in to pick a fight, so to speak, leaving nothing more substantive as an argument, at least in your initial post. When faced with my counter, you kept at it, instead of accepting that your first contention was based on a faulty assumption on your part.

Would you rather I write using a limited vocabulary, keeping my words to one or two syllables at most?  Nothing I have written is gibberish, but each statement is meant to be read in the context written, following previous sentences or paragraphs, like stepping stones.

Post or don't post a reply. It matters not to me. But neither can you escape the fact that you made an instant decision from the shield of anonomyity and refuse to accept that what you thought was erroneous on my part was not at all what you took it to be, despite my repeated explanation that you were wrong to do so.

Ah worlds adrift man I loved that game. It could have been truly great. When my buddy and I started Dual Universe we said to each other this is kind of like the feeling of awesome potential Worlds Adrift had. Down the line we are now saying to each other I hope this doesn't end up like worlds adrift did. Because not listening to the community is not the step to go.

My small organization miners myself included were not happy with the Q&A we do not want linking gone etc. Mining vehicles would be awesome, something needs to be done to make mining more enjoyable not just locate a node mindlessly click it and find ways to transport it.

I used to play elite a lot but the grind for everything got too much. It got to a point where I wasn't having fun I was just grinding just to grind because of the way the mechanics are set up. I bring this up because I fear DU is going the route of tedium.

I understand trying to balance things and I will still test this patch and future patches however I do not think the current direction is where the majority of the player base wants it to go. I have ten percent of my organization left playing. Out of that 10 percent left 90 percent are in complete disagreement with this upcoming patch. Patches should be something to be excited about and add content not more tedium, more grinding, and a throttle to fun gameplay. If you wanted to limit creativity to make this game only operable by hard core big groups than I guess that is where this is leading in my mind.

I was trying to stay optimistic and was hoping and still am that NQ has some card rolled up their sleeve and have some content to go along with this throttling of fun update but that optimism is starting to look like foolishness.

Istanicas got a reaction from Revelcro in ghost nodes
I have tested this with my organization Chem Dogs on several hexs throughout the system, Alioth and Talemai and Talemai moon 1 and 2 mainly. We scan a hex get 2 million bauxite for example and we mine out one super node worth 750kl-1000kl and there should be 1000kl left in another node and we cannot ever find the other nodes because the scanner leads us back to the mined out super node or leads us to an area where the detector doesn't pick anything up and there is nothing there. It is extremely frustrating. We are sitting on many scans with millions of ore left in the Hexs and cannot find the ore even with full mining teams scouring the hex. We've been playing since alpha and early beta and know what we are doing and it gets extremely annoying hitting this problem over and over again. Out of my 60 person organization about 40 of them have quit the game until it is updated more and fixed as these problems start to add up over time.

I don't think it is local client based as I've had a whole big group of people come from all over and try to find a few of them and we've collectively wasted probably over ten hours on these ghost nodes. It always happens after we mine one super node worth 1000kl or so and then we go look for the other 2000kl in the hex and can never find any.

Because we’re in beta, this is a problem due to accounts not expiring.

In the future, I imagine people will pay only as long as they actually play. So if they abandon the game and quit their subscription, their assets should become forfeit and salvageable.

this will likely solve the platform detritus issues people are having.

With shipwrecks being so rare currently I think they should give a large reward upon finding them. I have yet to come across one personally. But I have no motivation to look for wrecks if I can mine and make a huge profit and supply my organization with everything we need to thrive. I feel like at this point if I went looking for shipwrecks I wouldn't be contributing to the organization and not being a helpful member as where other gameplay loops the contribution is easily seen. I would like them to add more shipwrecks and maybe some kind of abandoned precursor civilization outposts just more POI (points of interest) in general in the future and give explorers something to actually gain. Elite Dangerous for example you can scan planets and sell those scans at stations and still make profit.
