  1. It works ingame - just doesn't show up when I take a screenshot with Geforce Experience - but it is shown when I PRNTSCR:
  2. That is the idea ... they are being financed by subs to develop the game. If no one pays subs, they will have no money to develop it. They should have basically changed the name of "Beta" to "Early Access" - this way everyone would know that they are paying for the actual development of the game and we would not have remarks of the kind "why should I pay for a beta!??".
  3. What's with the f***** music. One cannot hear anything ...
  4. So ... what? These coordinates lead to some landmarks, like JC's castle for example. We know them all already. What exactly is the point?
  5. It means the element is obstructed by something (other element, voxels). Example, if an engine is red, it means there is something behind it, and is obstructing it, making it less efficient.
  6. 10 Let me just say this: "Nou ani Anquietas". 20 And derived from that: Whatever you introduce in the game to develop an overarching "story" if you will, do not just slap it into the game, like now with the ship wrecks ("Hey there are now ship wrecks to be found, yay -. - .... Well, how? Why? What happened? How did they end up there? How come the shipwrecks are run-of-the-mill things made of elements which we produce ...) - rather create the lore behind it. This lore is made of increments, as parts of a larger arch, which (just an example) would lead to 30 30 Stargates! Wait, what? How? Why? -> GOTO 10 Trust me: This "player made" game can only go so far, i.e. even when player quests come what should they be? What could a player offer me as a quest which 1) he cannot do himself and 2) is exhilarating and worth the while for me? "Fly to Symeon and bring me 10kt of Cobaltite"? Ahm ... why don't you buy it on the market? This can work more or less ... for a while ... but sooner or later, if you want to span the lifetime and the appeal of the game over many years, you will need something lorewise / storywise / overarching.
  7. Interesting. Now, @NQ-Naunet for your "analytics" please DO CONSIDER my profile: Here's me: I never play Minecraft. I had installed it once (at the very very beginning), played for about 10 minutes and never touched it again. I have also never played EVE - because I am basically NOT an MMO Gamer (blasphemy!). I have thousands of hours in No Man's Sky and am the first person to reach the last galaxy (256) in the original game (before they changed that) - I am also an avid CRITIC of NMS because the CORE feature of the game (exploration) was actually NEVER developed (you can watch my videos on that - yes, check my YouTube Channel *shameless self-advertising*) I have never tried Star Citizen. So, what on bloody earth brought me to DU then if I am not an MMO gamer?! For this I would really suggest you check my DU Review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS1OxjrgJmQ But in essence: I am a Ruby Founder - when I first heard about DU I immediately wanted to back it and see it SUCCEED. In my Video Review, I have some strong negative points about DU right now - but just as I emphasize it there - I really do not want to bash the game - on the contrary: my criticism is there because I want to see the game become a brilliant piece of software to be enjoyed for years. To answer the question then why would I back Dual Universe although I am not an MMO Gamer: The reasons are these: 1. I love Space Games. And by this I do not mean a Trading Simulator where you "slap" space onto it just so you can say it is a space game (Elite ...) What I mean by that is I love games where I can EXPLORE the space. Where I can FLY to planets, moons and systems and DISCOVER strange new things, landmarks, ruins - basically anything which tickles the imagination of an Explorer. 2. I love RPG. It would seem most people today *forget* that DU is not just an "MMO" - the full acronym is actually MMORPG. So, I love games where I can hone my skills into a dedicated DIRECTION - and not be Jack of All Trades and Master of All (which is now the case in DU ...) Part of the "RPG" is also the building feature in DU - because the building mechanics allow me to build a home, to build a castle, a ship - which can be unique and define *me* and my ROLE in the ROLEplayingGame. The fact that I am not alone in this game, and there are many other people, because it is an MMO after all, does not bother me at all. In fact due to each of us having specialized ROLES and not each of us being able to do and be everything, it is a bonus and it would necessarily bring out the "emergent gameplay" the game is supposed to have. Oh, and BTW -- since people are talking about quitting etc. -- I will be painfully honest (or politically incorrect - which is the definition of my YouTube Channel): Right now the game, for me, is in such a state, that if I was not a Ruby Founder and had not a Lifetime Subscription I would really find it difficult to continue paying for a sub. The reasons I have laid out here and in more depth in my review. So, those were my 0,05 quantas on the topic.
  8. Of course. Very logical. Why have the option to right-click and directly on the element when you can have the option to go to inentory, rdms, create a policy, look for an element tag by scrolling a long list, add actors, add actions, add rights. Much easier.
  9. I love coffee .... mmmh, now I have to get some. Damn.
  10. Actually it's the year 9000s. And you still have to manually dig ... to get ore ... fun times.
  11. The one where I added a suggestion (which was not present, at least by searching for keywords, and even looking at most of them) but it then magically disappeared and is now nowhere to be found?
  12. Nice example of simping right there, champ. Maybe you should read the post right below yours. Or watch my review.
  13. There should not be allowed to build ANYTHING on the market landing pads or even around the market for at least a few kilometers. So much crap is being dumped on the markets again, containers, "gas stations", stupid ships floating ... You want some gas? Good, then fly over to the dedicated gas station. I don't understand why it is allowed for players to place constructs on the market ... They "moved" the markets to solve the cluttering-cluster-f*ck and it is happening all over again. Just plain and simple: the markets and the area around them should stay clear of any constructs. And "parking" your ships for days or weeks should also not be allowed. Max parking time = 30 minutes, then, if you don't fly away your ship gets teleported a few kilometers away.
  14. Maybe this can be "fixed" a bit so that the actual command seat / piloting chair does not blow up so easily.. Because then we would not get teleported to allioth, but to the Res Node instead which is on the ship. It is even weird that the command seat gets utterly destroyed when it is inside the ship and protected by at least 50cm of metallic walls (iron / copper) - so if I graze the mountain with my right wing, then the right wing should be destroyed, maybe some other elements, but why on earth would the command seat get destroyed which is in the middle of the ship as mentioned inside and protected by voxels and many other elements?!
  15. Any idea why does it seem like the ships are blowing up too easily?`I mean, it happened twice to me now that I just started to hover a few METERS above the ground, was moving at maybe 0,5 m/s - almost not moving at all actually - then I GRAZED a mountain side while simply turning in place and the bloody ship exploded! I was then of course teleported to Allioth, while my ship was in Teoma. THe other time was almost the same thing - was really just hovering, turned a bit, touched the terrain with one of the engines and instead of then that element being damaged a bit the whole ship exploded.
  16. No idea, since you are in the USA, and I am in Europe. Here you can find the 2070super for ca. 400 Euros everywhere.
  17. Since nvidia, for that money you could get an RTX 2070super, which works great with DU.
  18. No idea. I am right now on Marketplace 6. There seems to only be 2-3 people around. I was bored, so I repaired a few ships that were parked there. You're welcome
  19. They restarted the server. That is the message when this happens. Should be online in a bit.
  20. It is the same inconsistency as having a tesseract-like gun which can store thousands of liters of matter and infinite mass, but at the same time to leave the atmosphere your ship requires 20-th century combustion technology.
  21. I have a lot of gameplay hours, but still nowhere near other games (1000 hours, 3000 hours ...). And I paid 10 times more than what you mention. That still does not mean much at this time, and they should revamp everything possible, add more exploration, lore, optimize, and and and ... there is a TON of things which they should do. I also don't care about a reset - they can give me magic blueprints for the ship I constructed and apart from that, haven't built anything much yet (apart from a pyramid and a Stargate).
  22. If only I could ... After the server restart before I can now not mine AT ALL, and I can also not DIG AT ALL. Even if using the flatten tool - as you can see in the video, it is not working - the sphere stays red or expands a bit and stays red - it never expands enough to become yellow. So, I am stuck underground. Super. EDIT: After restarting the game several times, it would seem it now works again.
