To me, the best action is, if you see something that is suspicious, report it through the ticket system. Just mark the ticket in a way that refers to the possibility of an exploit from the mistake that was made.

it looks that way, and IMO that is a huge mistake - the buy / sell / browse / transfer permissions should be separated out

currently if you want someone to collect from your market container it's impossible

this system should allow you to give secure collection only access

I hear people say 'missions will allow that' - but why should I pay extra mission fees if all I want is an org buddy to pick up my stuff from a market he lives near, without giving him full access to spend all the org's cash?

speaking of - there should absolutely be a daily maximum withdrawal allowance that can be set per player (per initiating player, and maybe also per recipient) - if you need inspiration for how to do that, check out the guild bank system in neverwinter

5 org limit doesn't apply to child orgs

set up main org with you as superlegate

subdivide parent org into children (the org is the legate, not you, if you need to you can even have children of children)

most members don't need to be in all the different branches (e.g. if you're a miner, you won't need to be in the military too)

invite appropriate legates to sub-orgs as required

So, for example, the Legates are in charge of purchasing, relieving that task from the Superlegate.

But they can't send members out to the markets to pick up what they purchased?

That sounds like an additional layer of RDMS should be added, to designate access to the org market containers for specific members.

Nicely done, we've been needing a lot of this for a while - having a centralized org wallet that multiple people can use will finally relieve SuperLegates from having to be available constantly to handle money

    But the devblog mentioned
    > It includes buying, selling (and paying taxes by doing so)

What taxes are being paid, and to whom?

Also I'm very happy with the ability to send quanta wirelessly to people or orgs and have it logged and tracked appropriately - and not even in the alerts menu, a real tracker.  Nice

NQ is in such an unstable and insecure position, lacks the leadership and dare I say spine to actually make tough choices. They prefer to band-aid their way through development hoping each time the bleeding will not seep through.

We have a saying in the Netherland which states "Zachte heelmeesters maken stinkende wonden" which freely translates to "Soft-handed healers make for stinking wounds" and more in context could be translated to "Tough times call for tough measures"

NQ thinks they will lose their player base if they take the measures they should to repair the game. I'd say they have been bleeding players because they have not yet done so and would actually gain _actual players_ to replace the vanity ones that may leave if they did.

I can absolutely see that now is not the time for a wipe as much still needs to happen and come into the game that may again need one. Personally I feel that a wipe shortly after the introduction of Territory Warfare/energy management, once the initial issues with that patch are resolved, would be the opportune moment to wipe with normal blueprints and talent points retained and everything else wiped. Again, some will leave, most that say they will really won't and the majority of existing players will be fine with it while I could see a good number of players that left return.

I think you little bit overcomplicate things and want to see "cancel culture" where is none. I'm not american or even european in sense to be too much bothered by this virtual sniveling.

Reason I structured my message this way -- to show, that "establishment" (anti-wipe/anti-anything in changes that can cost them) having much more "big names" and ears access of NQ (complicated, but in primitive terms), relativly methodical agenda. They can act as quite coherent lobby force, if critical need arise to defend their interests (as likely happened during dodgly canceled Alioth regen).

"Resistance", to keep it in funny terms, that for most part I feel to be part of too, are relativly disorganized, less numerous and overall much more marginal (in wider sense, I hope you not again see it as "canceling"), agendas are different. Sure we can throw some righteus dirt in this forums (largly abandoned), kick some most intolerable simps on official Discords, but thats it. Little of effect. Obvisously, there is a lot smart people who do hard critics, no denial of that. Anyway, I was felt like their/our current position deserves some kind irony.

And I not see how this "labels" are insulting (again, with healthy bit of self-irony). Exept may be freaks, but its just reality -- that all this wipe talks attact brain-unstable people to do their best like, if you remember, 1st week Discord circus. Overall I can call myself all this names, was angry noob, now grumpy vet (not vettest vet, but still), sometimes vigilante, sometimes revolutionary, even sometimes freak. Its ok!

What follows is perhaps the most critical thing I have said regarding NQ, I don't think it is unfair though.

Ok so my understanding is this: In an effort to fix a issue with pricing on a particular schematic someone managed to somehow set every bot order to about 1/100 of the price it should be selling at. Please let me know if I have missed something.

Now, full disclosure, I wasn't able to gain from this, I wasn't online, I am telling you now I would have taken full advantage of it and anyone who is honest knows they would too.

It might be fair for you to ask me something like "Why are you putting a post up of something you aren't even sure of?".

That question would be fair only up until you realise that nothing is being done about it, with NQ stating they were "to err on the side of caution" whatever that means.

Caution? It's a bit late for that now isn't it? Where was this caution when someone decided to make changes to live servers. I bet there are a ton of engineers and developers playing this game and almost all of them know the cardinal rule: You never, ever, ever mess with production code or data before fully testing it on a representative environment or as close to one as you can get!

By now I suspect many reading this have seen the screenshot of someone holding 112 warp beacon xl schematics, not 1 or 2 but 112, if they also bought the necessary sub components then you are looking at production of an end game item at a scale that just should not be.

NQ, where is the philosophy you so passionately and vocally used to defend the changes made in 0.23? Your insistance that having players being able to run up mega factories is a bad idea? Everything you as a company put out at that time is contradictory to the inaction on this issue.

NQ, how are you meeting the statement you made after 0.23, you remember don't you? The one that stated you would be more communicative, you would test things out more before you rolled them out, what about internally? Did you not learn from the knee jerk reaction that was the talent reset?

NQ, it boggles my mind that you don't see this as a serious problem, it isn't just about those 30 minutes and the minority of players getting a leg up it is about what comes after.
Looking at this selfishly as an example, i mine like a madman for weeks and I finally buy schematics and a warp beacon, i mine more to build the beginnings of a space station, i keep on mining to buy more schematics and before Thursday I at least figured I had made an honest dent into building a foundation in this game; those 30 minutes demolished all that work.

These points don't just apply to me, they apply to any player who wasn't lucky enough to get in on the schematic grab.

Ok ramble over, NQ it is time to point out why this is all quite disturbing to me as a player (i would hope others too):

    1. This has demonstrated a severe lack in your processes, you've lost customer confidence
    2. Your decision making in the aftermath is abyssmal; your going to do nothing?
    3. The reasoning for your inaction is.....well it isn't reasoning; 'err on the side of caution'.
    4. Your inaction points to (from more likely to tinfoil hat):
      a. You truly don't see this as a problem and are content to carry on (your wrong, it's more than just the schematics, it is the message you are sending)
      b. You now see it as a problem but you can't rollback
      c. You always saw it as a problem but you are unable to perform a rollback and you don't want to admit that
      d. You intend to wipe
      e. This was intentional for the benefit of a group of players (tinfoil yes but it's not the first time a mmo has done this).
    5. You either can't trace player transactions or don't have the time to rectify your mistake meaning this is an intensive process.
    6. Your communication on this matter has been more pointed to 'stay silent and it will blow over' rather than addressing concerns.
    7. Your indiffference to this matter

I like DU, I see the potential, but potential isn't enough, at this point features won't be enough, your team appears to be lacking process, experience or maybe just passion, that or someone is calling the shots and  overriding the devs decisions, this isn't the first simple mistake as a result of quick decision making or poor thought, something needs to change and it needed to change 4 days ago

Unfortunately it’s not. Often elements placed next to other elements can only be done in specific orders. The collision grids are janky on some items.

An economic exploit like this in a market PvP/civilization building game/time scarcity based territory control game/similar, is like modding a FPS to have a bigger head shot area for your team alone.

I have paid monthly for 3 accounts put a couple hundred into the game, would probably be more up for playing it if a wipe did happen despite losing close to a few billion in assets and quanta.

I think i might be slightly bitter at losing the ships i have made in terms of the look but maybe they can allow blueprints to carry through, either way it's not like a wipe was always off the cards there was a caveat.

At this point there will probably be some players quitting due to this and some carrying on, NQ just needs to roll the dice and pray it goes their way.

This also (probably) explains why they mostly gone silent and CMs left attempts to control situation here, on front-lines. They likely were "called-off" to not waste time on things that... will be irrelevant.

If this true, NQ now can drop any remaining updates as dirty and unbalanced as they want before release. Then use our tormented feedback to fix it (to extent). Wipe. Then release, betting on attracting more new players for better, cleaner game.

OMG... All that agony and players lost to the debacle of patch 0.23.  All for nothing....

One careless NQ person really messed up the game bad. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

Now that there are hundreds (thousands?) of super expensive schematics in circulation there is absolutely no point in investing the time and energy to buy schematics anymore.  By the way, why is there a pool of 2 million schematics available for a 47 million quanta schematic??

Isn't the whole point of the high schematic prices to limit how many factories can make an element? Then why have 2 million of that schematic available? If they had 10 sell orders each, then this massive blunder could have had limited damage.

I just spend two weeks of grinding T1 ore to buy something that is now worthless. An expensive schematic is supposed to be like a patent, it is supposed to limit your competition. You pay the extra cost for limiting the population of your industrial competitors. Now, there is no point in being an industrialist for months until the economic dust settles.

    Hi,

Is there a list anywhere of talents that are not working as intended?

I'd fed up of putting talents in a queue, going to work, coming home, and finding I've wasted a day's training on talents that do nothing, or in some cases, work backwards (making something harder).

Yes, it would be lovely to know when NQ plan to fix these data entry errors / bugs, and we all know it's a beta and bugs are a part of that, but it would be a real help to customers if we knew what to avoid so we don't waste valuable training time.

    Except when it's vital...

Cryolite seems to be a problem in itself and shows deeper problems potentially with the system and some of the proposals above.

From personal experience I mined less than 25 kl of Cryolite from 111 territory scans.

Cryolite is required for large dynamic and space cores, alongside gold nuggets and kolbeckite.

This isn't the only thing it is needed for though.

I found more gold from less than 20 scans.

    Maybe I was unlucky?

    Apparently not...

It's currently on the market at over twice the price of kolbeckite and 50% higher than gold nuggets, even though I think most agree that gold armour is what's needed for serious PvP?

At one point the lowest sale price for Cryolite was 1,600 quanta per litre, and there were only 3 orders with less than 50 kl of Cryolite on the markets, total.

Even now there are only 13 sale orders, but 71 buy orders. The volumes are much higher now, so I'm wondering if smaller orgs had stockpiled, hoping to make L cores, but are now selling to afford the schematics they would need to make them.

You need more Cryolite to make your L cores than either of the other two. It's not far short of the other two added together.

So even before L cores became inaccessible to most, due to price hikes for direct sales and the industry revamp, the limited supply of Cryolite was what slowed us down as an Org.

We wanted to make a really big space station that you could fly big ships into.

The fact that the recent and upcoming updates give a significant PvP advantage to L dynamics just makes this problem worse.

If the game's designers allow it to be looped in a viciously paradoxical cycle where you can't access L cores unless you already have L cores by placing the supply of Cryolite exclusively in a zone that could be relatively easily inderdicted by larger PvP orgs this would mean they are denying the game any serious potential for long term growth or for newer players to enter the game at or after full launch and ever stand any chance of creating any org that could ever be competitive in PvP.

Why would any significant number of players ever move to such a game?

It really is horrible and was way worse after the patch.  Blew up Snow White trying to dock the dwaves on it, took a support ticket to even repair it.

With a lot of trial and error we came up with the 3 docking rules that seem to work:

    1.  Stand on the ground while docking with the maneuver tool, DO NOT stand on any dynamic construct. Space station docking is rough.  Turning off any ECU's is usually a good idea.
    2. You have to see the surface you are docking to (its apparently client side). Plopping down a ship like a basketball through a hoop onto a deck from the ground is no bueno.  Dock to the side or a slope you can see at least part of.
    3. if it fails, it should slide off or move a bit when you let go.  IF it sticks solidly then it should be good.  Pick up the bigger vehicle with the maneuver tool and give it a test spin and pray.

We think it might have always required these steps but pre hell-patch it didnt blow up your ship when it failed.

I don't think removing element damage was necessary - it just needed to scale with the quality/complexity of the element.

    Something along the lines of:
    T1 Element - 8 Restorations for collisions
    T2 Element - 7 Restorations for collisions
    T3 Element - 6 Restorations for collisions
    T4 Element - 5 Restorations for collisions
    T5 Element - 4 Restorations for collisions

Perhaps then make it to where weapon damage removes 2 restoration points, instead of 1.

Now, core damage? Yeah, that needed to change. I think upping the HPs  considerably, and lowering collision damage on them
would benefit both PvP and non-PvP. For one, it'll make it harder to lose one in a crash, with the benefit of making ramming a non-option.

I just love how there are folks that still talk about industry and producing items means end game. What in the world is end game in a sandbox, you make your own gameplay!

First things first, you cannot POOF something out of thin air in industry, aside from oxygen and hydrogen, those people SPENT TIME MINING or BOUGHT THE MATERIALS to build what they want, they don't just pull it out of their asses. Don't act like they have not worked to get what they are building or act like it is easy, flying around and hauling ore solo is no easy task, its tedious and time consuming, WORK WAS ALWAYS PUT IN.

Just because you don't have the same amount of efficiency and/or time as them does not mean you should invalidate what they have achieved!

Secondly, element destruction should not be in until the server is stable and there are little to no flying bugs because I am sure NQ's support ticket system are exploding just like the ships in game.

Lastly, PVP boys try to hold back the salt, otherwise the very people you were harvesting it from the last week will take it all back, we know you're still shafted. But lets be honest the PVP isn't that hot right now till they introduce territory warfare.
