So as I read through the forums I find the state of it all depressing. Toxic fumes are starting to engulf the whole of the forums and no one seems to care.

Instead of helping one another we belittle and degrade. So many post about the exact same subject from pure laziness. Instead of healthy debates we argue, fight, and bicker.

We need to resolve these issues before it is too late. some of this is our fault and some the lack of moderation we have. No i am not attacking NQ-Nyzaltar only saying he/she is but one person and we the community should not rely on him/her.

We should stop all the multiple post by pointing the OP to the original post about the subject and leave it at that. Maybe have the duplicate post removed? (pokes Nyzaltar) Ignore the trolls and put a stop to their fun. if you make it not fun for them they will stop.

Personally I want the community to flourish and be one of the best, but how the forums are going I have stopped posting for these reasons and I am not going to continue to waste my time repeating myself on the same fights over and over again with the same counter arguments over and over again.

I believe in a Dev Diary or DevBlog they mentioned sizes for constructs. I don't remember which one it was though. Each one denotes a certain amount of voxels which in turn would be its general "size." The more voxels it covers, the larger the construct can be

With all due respect, I have no idea how that was the only information you were able to find. This is the very first result when googling "dual universe core units":

Take a look at the poll peeps. It speaks for its self. By the way IF a feature like this were to be put into the game it would need to be in on release, at least the base functionality. This would be a major feature that would either make or break the game for a good majority of people.

Any kind of maintenance would, of course be automated. As long as the construct has power then it should not need anything else other than to repair damage caused by combat.

The degradation timer would not start until after the power systems fail due to no fuel. Now if someone were to happen by the construct "hack" the core unit and transfer ownership to them then restore power then the timer would "reset" and any maintenance from there would continue as before. The only repairs that may be needed would be those that caused severe "hitpoint" loss lets say over the period of a year.

Let's say you decide you no longer want to play the game for some reason, what happens to your stuff? Something that might work would be construct degradation over time. (before you start to rage at me just stop and read) Nothing super fast. You don't want to go on vacation and come back to all your stuff gone.

What I was thinking would be something kind of like Wurm. After being inactive for x amount of time you stuff starts to "take damage". Very slowly at first but as time goes by it takes more and more. So let's say you haven't been active for a month (calm down it's just for easy maths) so your stuff starts to "take damage" at 1 "hitpoint" per day. Now each month after that adds more of a multiplier to that so let's say after 6 months of being gone you are now taking 6 hitpoints every day. It's not much but after a while your construct with collapse and at that point in time maybe something like 10% of the resources from said construct are "added" to the surrounding area.

Now of corse if one of your friends is still active and you give them rights to everything then nothing happens to your stuff and it is fine. Unless it is an old base that you no longer want to maintain, and hell even forgot about. let's say after 3 months of not visiting a location the degradation starts to happen unless you interact with it in some way. Maybe you get some sort of message a month before this happens so you have plenty of time to make arrangements.

Let me now what you think?

I love the idea of a complicated process like this! but not mandatory as you said have a simplified process for those who do not. Just the more complicated the more efficient.

I would like to have it for both refining and production though.

You really should read a bit about a game before you start to post in its forums. All of these topics have been discussed at great length before or covered by dev blogs.

    Quoted from ORGANIZATIONS:
To start with, organizations are divided into legates and members. All legates are not necessarily members, and vice-versa. The legates literally own the organization, which is divided into several shares that are distributed to the legates. Members don’t own the organization, but they have what we call “roles”. Roles are defined by a set of rights, duties and privileges that apply to members. A member can have one or several roles (and, as an legate can also be a member, there can also be roles for legates, but not always), and a role can be fulfilled by one or several members. Roles can be organized hierarchically, so that sub-roles inherit their default set of rights/duties/privileges from their parent.

The mechanism by which legates make decisions is voting, with a weight based on the number of shares owned by the legate. A delegation system enables certain legates to gather the voting rights of other legates. This delegation can be limited in time or not, and can be for every vote or for certain types of votes only. Note that the wording used here, “vote”, induces a notion of democracy, but this is not necessarily the case. In an organization where all legates have permanently delegated all their voting rights to one single legate, you have a de-facto dictatorship. Intermediary cases involve a parliamentary system, where a subgroup of legates concentrate the voting rights of all the others, but none of them can rule alone. All nuances are possible.

And you really should read Dual Universe FAQ/Sources  it has answers for all of this.

That would be quite epic. have one going from the Ark to a station in orbit above the ark would be amazing. We should make this a thing!

Very true, but it would be a good immersive gameplay element if they did. once every so often a new ark shows up based on player count and how crowded the "Safe Zone" is.

No worries man, I do not mind being corrected what so ever. I just don't like to be told I'm making assumptions when I am just going off of what I have seen. Most of the planets we have seen are defiantly more than 50% water.

I meant this as a joke (you should never assume it just makes and ass of you and me) just forgot to put  at the end. It is an old saying I've heard for years.

Unfortunately you are a bit late for the proper responses and counter points. At this time we have already done this on all the topics listed at least 5 or 6 times each. This is why you were linked to the post by Cybrex. All the quotes in that post are official from the developers all you need to do is just read what you care about and if you want more info on the subject then click the link. There are no short answers. so yes you will have to consume alot of info.

Unfortunately yes, this is mostly due to the fact we are having to answer the exact same questions over and over again and it is irritating at best. This is why Cybrex created this post so we could avoid having to do so, but from the looks of it people do not want answers they want to fight and argue.
