im sorry but white a number of PvPers believe and have stated that the safe zone is arbitrary, and should be abolished. As should safe warp travel. That sounds to me like 100% PvP. but what you are asking for seems far more balanced.

I thought a shill was someone designed to look like having grassroots support but who is actually “astroturfing” (fake grassroots) whereas someone who actually states openly that they’re sponsored or paid to advertise is merely that a paid advertiser or paid “reviewer.” Whose opinions are to be scrutinized more carefully.

I want to see an audit trail showing who got paid and for what. Wow, Moose you seem to be taking the negativity a bit personally. there are as many opinions on here as there are ppl and as such many will disagree with each other. I have no issue with ppl speculating -even super negatively. And so long as they make it clear it’s speculation or opinion and not trying to pass it off as fact, I am able to just nod or sigh as appropriate. Getting personal about comments in threads is a bit unnecessary in a forum which you don’t actually have to read.

As for that other thread... I think many of us at times get a bit too erm... animated... shall we say. Heaven knows I'm one for that. If you do a search for novaquark on Linked In or even just Google, you can find anyone who publicly states they work there and their names or pseudonyms are listed for all to see... People really need to take more responsibility for what they do and show online and remember that online information facing outwards is in the public domain and WILL come back to haunt them in the future. This is not the same as Doxxing which is digging up private information about someone, like, say having a link to someone's private profile and sharing the private data with everyone via screenshot... Although, maybe that's what the poster did and it was removed... that's what censorship does, raises further questions... Since JC is the figurehead and the visible face of the company, he -like Sean Murray of Hello Games was- is to an extent fair game though I really would never want to point a finger at anyone specific in the team or any middle management because they, like you and me are really just trying to do their best and earn an honest living under challenging conditions.

The article is misleading at best, outright paid-for-by-NQ propaganda at worst. Shit like this need to be called out and stamped on with prejudice if you care at all about the issues being dealt with in the "news" article. So many problems in the last four of five years have been caused directly because of misinformation and complete bollocks being passed as facts. Spurious claims about things which are not true and things that did not actually happen passed as having actually happened have made the news these last few years seem like a bit of a sad joke and it is becoming accepted by certain cap-wearers as truth. I made another post a few days ago where someone on the forums was basically using hyperbole and claimed that DU actually BRICKED his computer... Bricked means damaged beyond the ability of the end user to repair (requiring an RMA)... Stuff like this spreads in today's zero-neurons-fired post-truth world, because people are just happy to sit back, shrug and get on with their life... Until a few months/years down the line when the things they love and like are gone and they themselves become the target of the hyperbole... Truth is the only thing of universal value to all humans and alternative facts are just lies dressed up in a long red tie. Calling this out is the right thing to do. I wouldn't be against that if it was done properly... This is called curated content and can be a valuable addition... but I suppose, morally, it should be pointed out for being sponsored content...

I’m curious where this info comes from was there an interview with staff stating that JC doesn’t listen? Or an insider report/leak? also, halving voxel DP? Not sure what that brings to the table. How about just disabling 3rd person view or making 3rd person/external view reliant on actual camera elements. Meaning that you can only bury your cockpit in voxels at your own peril.

They’ve already stated that tree planting/replacing etc won’t be a thing. I think it’s to do with how flora and fauna are actually generative functions requiring very little server resources whereas specifically placed vegetation would require far, far more information.

Technically it was not the community that demanded an early release of cyberpunk. It was the CDPR shareholders and -if it’s anything like NMS- an ironclad contract with Sony that they could not back down from.

I hate that I love this game Yoinks... You make this sound like it's akin to being in an abusive relationship. Oh, hang on... now that you mention it... LOL. Star Citizen has a pretty cool Xeno event on at the moment and Elite Dangerous will be basically releasing Phase 3: Odyssey. (phase 2 was Horizons and Beyond) And NMS continues to morph into something incredibly sprawling and vibrant. And then there is EVE, of course. LOL. But even with all those, DU is still the game that stands like a the promise seen in a powerful shimmer emanating from beyond the next range of mountains... And after wading across the desert, cresting the jagged mountains and gazing down upon the light, it could well end up indeed being the idyllic City of Light... or wind up just being rows upon rows of abandoned and broken solar arrays from an older time, reflecting the sun back into space.

obstruction doesn't change the atmo inspector's figures, AFAIK... I am still trying to work out how this works... My avatar has L5 on everything related to Atmospheric engines, ailerons, brakes and adjusters and I've not really been able to calculate numbers that comes out exactly as the figures I'm seeing in the atmo inspector.

Got it. Played it through. not that revolutionary (in the way that Detroit: Become Human’s Kara story was) and it still feels a bit early access, tbh. the most painful thing are the clear hack job content cuts. For example, an Entire segment that was clearly meant to be played through was reduced to a 5 minute video. Also, the NPCs, gangs and police etc have zero AI. But... the story was really special: so, so good. The plot, the music and atmosphere are all first rate. And the endings. Emotional af!! and Keanu is still Keanu (for better or for worse)! Glad I played it. (PC version)
