Microwave reacted to ishcal in Pity - this game had such potential...
Way back when I pitched in as a patron, I did so because the game had such potential.  The voxel editing capability in designing ships and bases is what had me hooked, but back then there were a lot of mechanic issues with the game, so I gave it a break for a year.

Now that I'm back, I've given it a month and if this is the direction DU is heading, meh - no thanks.

First off, making a game that is fundamentally one of the most versatile BUILDING games out there, and forcing pvp content makes about as much sense as braille buttons on a drive thru ATM.  Sure, I've heard the rumor that everything you need is in the safe zone, but with the addition of these ridiculous schematic roadblocks in EVERY step, half those being sold only in pvp space for amounts I frankly have no way of earning once I restarted is about as exciting a prospect as gouging my eye out with a spoon.

Only add to that the fact that in order to buy the few things I can afford after waiting for 3 or 4 days (with the daily allowance we're given), making those trips take at least an hour (after you factor in the crappy engines I can only afford now and the inevitable crash and ship repair which happens EVERY time I get booted offline during landing), well that's just like putting a bit of lemon juice on the spoon before the eye gouging begins.

Maybe as someone who would love a game I can dive into and start building is too much to ask for, but under the current construct this clearly isn't worth my time.  I suppose I'll keep my eye open and see if anyone wakes up and focuses on some of these fundamentals, but I'm not holding my breathe...

No, t wasn't a grind when I subbed. NQ made it a grind with .23. It was a bait and switch, which is considered false advertising.

Most people can tolerate a bit of grind, as long as there is progression. There is no progression in DU now because it's all grind, which is boring. This is why I let my sub run out. I might sub again if/when they lower the grind factor.

I think they're waiting to see if the missions system will bring those of us they lost back. HINT: At least for me, nope.

I've been watching Reddit and there have been new players going over there and asking about what there is to do besides mine. Of course now there's nothing to do other than mine when you're brand new. They'll have to slave away for months/years at this rate. Even after the mission system implementation, they'll still be months away from doing anything useful. Oh, and good luck mining the asteroids in the PvP zone. The gankers will be out in force to get easy unarmed kills. That's so dumb.

I want to be honest, I feel exhausted.
I've tried to adapt to this new system but it's too much. I've been working towards a few goals but every step involves more and more mining, first for the schematics and then for the materials, I've basically been only mining since .23 landed.
Yesterday I was again mining on alioth when I realized the closest order available with a reasonable price was like on madis, I don't know wtf is wrong with NQ but they'd better hurry and fix this game before it's too late.

You're not helping anyone. Parasocial? Naw man, all business contracts (like subscriptions) are a relationship. I pay you money, you make a product that I want. I signed a contract and paid a sub to beta test a game and I get alpha changes being made that break gameplay in major ways. I consider that a breach of contract. They knew before going into this patch they were going to piss people off. Weeks before .32, there was a suggestion similar to the way schematics were actually implemented and it was met with pretty cold reception. They knew it was a shit idea at this time and implemented it anyway. When .32 dropped, they broke my confidence and trust right then and there. It proved to me that NQ has no idea what the majority of their player base wants or what the game actually needed before hand.

Listen, I know you have no real clue that you're not helping retain this customer over here for NQ, otherwise you would've just shut up and continued on with the crap sandwich of a game you paid for. If you really like being crapped on, hey man, stick around and they'll do it again and again.

HERE IS WHY I'M NOT HAPPY: I signed up for a game that advertised that I could do anything, even alone. Great! I signed up. Then, after months of me putting in time to build a small basic industry just to I could toy around with ship building, THEY BROKE THE GAME WITH SCHEMATICS. AT THIS POINT, it was no longer the game that was advertised to me. SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. IS THERE ANYMORE CONFUSION IN YOUR MIND?

Microwave reacted to GarbageKnight in NQ YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT SHIPS REALLY!
    Ok so here goes.

NQ - we made a voxel game, look you can make movies ships, or all kinds of ships, that are all pretty, and awesome. But making the right angles, and curves welll....HAHA that stupid hard as hell, go learn 100 hours of voxel mancy, to learn how to make a right angle curve in a half circle, without looking like LUMPY CRAP... oh and.

PRETTY SHIPS ARE NICE...BUT ARE AS FUNCTIONAL AS A FLYING ROCK...HAHAHA.

     ME and everyone else -

I want a hauling ship that looks like the  Millennium Falcon ----YEP IF THE FALCON HAD 100 AIR BREAKS, 100 ALIRONS, 100 RETRO ROCKETS, 100 Vertical Thrusters, 50 LARGE fuel tanks, 40 LARGE ENGINS, 10 XL SPACE ENGINS... a cockpit just big enough to fit you in it barely.... BECASUE THE WHOLE SHIP IS FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH FREAKING CRAP....so when hauling 6-10 containers of stuff, YOU DO NOT SLAP INTO THE GROUND AND EXPLODE...or BLOW UP IN ATOMOS DURING A REENTRY.... and WARP.....HAHAHAHAHA better warp empty, and sell your load wherever you are...casue the CELLS will cost you as much as you will make selling the ore, or parts you hauling to market.... 1 medium ship with 6 containers.....90-100 cells, FULL CONTAINERS...200+ cells.....for 1 trip...WTF?

warp cell production....200 million for the schematics.....to make 10 cells per hour.....so you can afford  2 warps...to a mining location and back for 300+ warp cells....30 hours of waiting to make that many cells...  better go mine mega nodes of gold, to recoup the loss, and make a profit.

so making a movie ship, or a pretty ship is great...but functions like a flying TURD....see UEF store...

so if you want function, well just eat get ready to fly a ship that is nothing but elements...made into structure, and use as little as possible....or none at all.....to keep weight down....

I have SEEN WITH MY OWN EYES a ships DECK WAS NOTHING BUT AIR BREAKS.......retrorockets, just to support 10 Large containers full of ore....becasue otherwise IT WILL NOT STOP OR LAND WITHOUT EXPLODING....

I TESTED THIS KNOWING BETTER - droped the 4.xx million for hauler on UEF.  could not even break atmos empty....just becasue i had 3 sticks of gum and a yoyo in my nanopack. TOO HEAVY...LMAO.

SO I MODIFIED IT...from 2 large engines and a medium. to 4 LARGE engines  2 Large stabilizers, 4 medium ailerons.  STILL COULD NOT BREAK ATOMOS..... so i started digging.

SO MANY UNEEDED LAYERS OF METAL VOXELS making it HEAVY AS HECK.... some places the voxels were 4 layers deep...

I hacked the bottom entry off,  moved storage to top, took out passenger seats,  hacked the back half off.... used 2 fuel tanks for space engines Large, 2 atmos tanks M, went to 4 LARGE engins.... took out all the extra layers of uneeded voxels...and flew off into space.. loaded it...and could not stop..and BLEW UP hitting the ground...becasue i couldnt fit the 100 airbrakes needed to stop....

so i flipped the core to face to the top, fippled the gyro, started to fix the voxels...and well its a nice shell to make a purdy SLAVE 1 boba fett ship...that will fly...but serves no purpose...other than looking nice....

My M core Hauler...has some shape to it...but mostly to hide the 100 air breaks L, the 100 retros to go into it, the 12 L engines, 8 M engines, the 50 Ailerons. the 4 Lage ATMOS tanks, the 8 Medium space tanks to fuel all the Hovers and V-thrusters, and still need more breaks...retros...and figureing out where to put warpcore...and  remaining 3 L containers..and not have it look like flying  Square plate.. right now IT LOOKS LIKE A 3D version of the ATARI SHIP from - Space invaders... but i might have to mod it into a just the FLYING PLATE OF ELEMENTS so it just FUCNTIONS and flys...

SO NQ IN END - BUFF FREAKING PARTS...SO WE CAN MAKE PRETTY AND FUNCTIONAL SHIPS...... not just one or the other....cause i want a cool looking ship that can HAUL or PVP....not a Pretty ship, or a flying plate that hauls, or a BOX that fights....

OH AND FIX ANTI GRAVITY...that is just stupid.... also add ION engines or whatever you want to call them.. that can do both SPACE and ATMOS... like the USS enterprise....that had a crew of like 5000 people...and carried away ships, and MILLIONS of tons of cargo....on 2 engines.. not 200 slapped to a plate, with 500 wings, oh and 1000 air breaks, and 1000 retros, and 1000 hovers, and 1000 thruster, and 1000 adjustors, and 1000 fuel tanks...with a AGG the size of the empire state building, that need 1000 pads....and a forever warm up time...and if you change one tiny thing....the whole system resets...and you rage smash your keyboard.

i know its all COOL IN GAME PHYSICS OR WHATEVER WHATEVER.....but if i can warp to a planet standing on a plate in space, jump off fall into the planet from space, and not burn up in atmos, or die on impact...but watch my ship explode cause it cant slow down..cause it 100 breaks shy of stopping right... FORK YOUR DUMB PHYSICS...

    As a new Player:

Get rid of Blueprints for all Tier 1 and everything you can build in Assemly Line M and lower.
Give the new Players some aire and possibilities.
I would not mind buying Blueprints for advanced Stuff.
Right now it is even hard for me to go to the next Market.
And all i see is "You need the Blueprint".
    So i cant experiment.
I want to build a smal ship as i statet in another Post. But how?
The Tutorial wont work. I have no clue what i need.
And for everything i need to travel to the market.
What if i forget 1 wing or 1 brake is not enough?
Waste another 15 min for travelling to the Market?

And to those who are saying "You can build a better Ship with what you have", plz consider, that new Players dont know how and cant try stuff out, because we cant build stuff!

Making me redo my talents was just a slap in the face on top of it. That should have been handled on a voluntary basis.

From my perspective I expect to be able to do the level of things that I can do in any "normal" MMO. For example... I expect to be able to run standard dungeons with a group of randoms for instance, while knowing that the very highest level of guild raid dungeons that require the highest level of gear will be out of my reach. In this game, that would mean that I should be able to have a "reasonable" PvP ship and be able to participate with a group of others, even though I would stand no chance in a one on one fight with someone with the best elements on their ship. I'll list a few of the more obvious issue's I have with this game.

I should be able to build my entire empire from scratch by myself even if it takes "longer" than a large guild. "Longer" has to be reasonable, it should not equal more time than I have left before I die from old age.

PvP needs to have an option to be done SOLO. Sure, I may just be the mosquito that does nothing more than annoy the big guilds ship, but being totally excluded makes this game pointless for me.

Building needs to be able to be done in a "virtual" mode where you can have whatever you desire to build with and you leave the virtual space with just the blueprint of your creation. How exactly does a new player in this game learn to build a usable ship if they won't be able to replace one if they crash it? We are already at the point where no one is going to risk an expensive ship, this game is too buggy to safely fly now, who wants to risk losing a 400 million q ship after you've crashed it one too many times?

I unfortunately have a 12 month sub to this game. I won't be able to quit until that runs out, but I haven't bothered to update the game or login for about a month now. The reason I don't bother is because DU is not going in a direction I approve of. I'll happily list the reasons why DU won't get any more of my money in the future.

I'm a mostly solo player, games that discourage that aren't games I'll support.
    Mining is boring.
I already have a few ships, so why should I bother to keep trying to upgrade to better ships, when they have become to expensive to lose?
This is primarily a building and PvP game. PvP is not good in this game and this patch nerfed building. What else is there in this game?

Last but not least, if this rework of critical game systems had come with a complete wipe like it should have would YOU still play this game? If the answer is no, then the patch was a MISTAKE. If at any time on any game you would not keep playing if you had to start over from nothing, that game has serious issue's. How exactly do they expect this game to grow when it does nothing to attract new players?

I was very new in DU (up till 10/12/20 anyway) and really having a lot of fun, i ignored most of the tutorial (having seen it twice on you tume) and was just itching to go find a hex on Sanctuary.

Un-eventful journey there, particularly unsettling was flying through trees only to being slammed into an invisible rock on top of a hill and brought to a halt but none the less i made it to an empty hex, had a look about and didn't see any obvious holes in the ground so thought, 'ok that's mine, mine' (pun intended).
Started with the nano crafter and a mining tool and found the talent queue.
Over the next few weeks I've managed to amass a whopping 2.3Mil in the bank, L,M,S,XS assemblers and 2 or more of most of the assemblers and i'm happy as a pig in muck, not sure if I left my hex once other than to try a test ride in a Hover then flying vessel (always carry scrap with you....) of some personal freakish design.

Take a couple of weeks off due to work and living out of a hotel room just to get home and find out about some big patch.

Oh dear, no longer fun to me in any way shape or form, I can no longer tinker with building or make even the components for parts to do what I was doing before and don't have remotley close to enough cash to buy the schematics to even think about building anything.

Suggestions from Discord - Pimp myself out as a slave miner to supply ore to someone with a lot of money.............

Sorry but a game should be fun, i found the un-sub method, have employed it and it is with great regret I've uninstalled

As an aside I still have EQ installed on my PC and an active account that's 20 years old, Eve installed and a subbed toon there that's on a 15 year old account, but no DU after just 6 short weeks.

My personal take on this is very similar to SWG, it was a thriving game, player cities, crafting up the wazoo and PvP, then along came the CU - the player base shrank over a couple of weeks and after that it's time was numbered.

I do wish you well in building a working release game but until such time as the developers and owners actually try playing the game they are creating there is no hope.

    Final thing

PvP - I detest PvP with a vengeance these days, I've had 15 years of it in various games and just can't be bothered with it anymore any game that forces me into the position of having to PvP is a no go and unfortunately DU seems to be caving in to the vocal PvP playerbase as most games seem to these days (which is depressing and to be honest they don't have a great population a couple of years down the line)

Why not have a 'PvP switch,

In the off position, you don't even show up on radar can't be targeted and are an 'Illegal Target'
You can flip it to 'On' when on a planet and after XX - say 30 minutes - it switches your status to PvP enabled - you are now a legitimate target for anyone else who has pvp up and you show on radar.
To turn off PvP, simply land on a planet and switch off, after 30 mins your status switches to non PvP
Allow say 2 state changes in 24 hours as we know all PvP'ers just love PvP so they won't mind having restrictions in turning it on and off as they would run with it on all the time anyway.....right?

This is a big part of what is happening and it's not new as us backers know all to well. And no disrespect to fresh blood bringing an attempt to get this fixed but if the core of the  company does not change it's trajectory it will not have the effect we may all want to see.

The latest example is the changes to the forum but it is a trend throughout, NQ comes out with " here's what we are looking at, what do you think" while in fact the call is already made. Then when community members bring up arguments against or to improve these actions it's pointless as the action is already set in motion. NQ does not engage in discussion with the community at all ,they do not talk with/include us in any way. The just talk at us and do what they intended to do anyway if it's not already done.

So many just do not bother any more and others just gave up and left. NQ seems to be oblivious to this and just keeps going in the same way they have for over three years now. It's just somewhat painful to see some who frantically and sometimes passionately opposed me and others bringing this up early on now pretty much coming out and voicing the exact same concerns and being disillusioned because NQ is not  listening at all and seems to just not care.  Frankly there is still time to fix this but NQ will need to make some tough and possibly painful choices (and do that quickly) to right the ship and be able to bring what is such a fantastic vision and concept to and over the finish line.

The game has an extremely high initial bump which, combined with the very rough state of the game's development and rushed move into open and paid "beta" makes it hard to get into. Much of what is missing or what is not working well has been brought up and discussed long before beta started. NQ has never acknowledged any of this and has never shown any indication of being able or willing to adjust their development plans to accommodate this.

Most of the game is very much still in Alpha state, if not pre-alpha. When a "major overhaul of the UI" is announced, what basically happens is a reskin of it. The core UI is very basic and not suitable for several of the intended uses cases, most obviously the talent system. It does not appear there is any central management of the project and it appears "coding" devs are tasked with designing the UI and UX which leads to too much information and overly complex actions with too many clicks and important detail 2 or three levels down where they should be at the surface. The general UI design really has not changed at all, except for a different theme, since pre-alpha.

It's not helpful when, from the occasional communication, NQ paints a picture which wants to tell a story of "everything is great, we're pretty much on track and where we need to be" when the facts in front of us show that that is not the case.  And now we hear JC pretty much roll back core promises and vision for the game where "unlimited possibilities" have now become "we will limit what you can do to preserve performance". The amount of work NQ has set up for themselves combined wit he mountain of work that needs to be done to clear technical debt and core issues in the game should be a guide in understanding that it is not possible to get to the state NQ claims the game will be in a year when they intend to "release". The stubborn attitude of not wanting to move the roadmap out and by now plain unrealistic expectation being set by NQ is just not good and will make (new) players tag off and disengage.

I get that much of this will probably be due to the fact that NQ is not in a very good situation financially and needs to work on a very tight and limited budget, but it's hurting the game's progress quite obviously. The amount of work needed to be done to work around the roadblock of "no wipe until absolutely required" for the sake of keeping people subbed is causing ore pain than NQ is letting on. Th underlying tone of NQ having pretty much beg for players to get back to the game or fill out a survey where NQ should and probably does know very well what the pain points are is rather obviously  a PR stunt more than anything else.

From podcasts it seems that NQ in general overthinks what we, as the community brings up in the rarae cases there is a response, which is generally only happening on an ad hoc basis when confronted with a live question, and the "solutions" are often overly complex and in effect miss the mark as far as addressing the intended problem. IN general, NQ seems hellbent on reinventing the wheel over and over while solutions are often readily available.

An example is the call for better building tools, NQ will mostly translate this into "we want a vertex editor" and then go into detail on how difficult that is and how much resources it takes. What we actually need is more options to build without resorting to voxelmancy.. More brush options like slopes broken into two voxels, corner pieces and things like that. Making smooth and beautiful ships using voxeltech is great and some designs are amazing but there is no middle ground here between that and basic blocks/boxes. Why can't we have basic shapes like the ones we see in (or instance) Space Engineers? Why is there no single voxel size tetrahedron making it possible to make corners. here's basic block which IMO should be readily available in game (old SE source but valid here)..

The "general" public is not looking for a vertex editor, they just want/need more variation in basic blocks and would be perfectly happy with these. The argument "use a voxel library" pretty much rolls back to my earlier comment about NQ (and a good number of experienced players) not seeing the issue of  this being to complex for an entry level player.

    What we need is:
In build mode, select voxel placement tool press E to cycle though basic shapes press-hold E to bring up either a radial menu, use scroll wheel to cycle through all available blocks or the option to "click and pick" from a more varied choice of block "brushes"
Another example is power management. It has been discussed with some good suggestions provided since Alpha but NQ never acknowledged any of it or engaged with us on these ideas.

Then, while it's unfortunately a meme by now, the question is a valid one, where is the canopy glass? Why has NQ not ever acknowledged this and why is this element on display in game but not available to players? It is another simple option to make designs easier to make "pretty".

Lastly, it is _very_ disappointing and a tell tale sign of how NQ thinks that the NDA forum section has been archived and is no longer accessible. It means a wealth of information and content which could be reused in beta is now lost. Arguments to maintain access to these clearly, and frankly expectedly, fell on deaf ears as NQ does what NQ does regardless of what we, as a community think. Why make a post in the tone of an invite to discussion when you really just make an announcement?

If you, as NQ, intent to do things your way anyway, why pretend to care enough to ask for our input/feedback. I know this post will no doubt trigger the fanbois in the community once more but he fact I get quite a few messages from community members when I make posts like this saying how they agree tells me I'm not wrong. What we're seeing now is pretty much what happened when Naerais joined and it lasted for maybe a month or two before NQ fell right back to being their usual self. I hope I am wrong and this time NQ will move in a different direction but I reserve the right to expect they won't and it's just a temp  band-aid before it's back to business as usual. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though, we'll see.

This is very much stupid in the long run.
This is as some have stated, to appear like content and its a copy of the blueprint system in EVE, with high potential to kill the playerbase.
In EVE you were always able to protect your very pricey BPOs in a NPC station, and only bring the copies into danger if you choose to.
Here in DU in a game where in some day nothing (or almost nothing) will be save, those prices even for a few rudimentary parts are way to high, so some big group can just get bigger than you and take all the hours from you. Hours you needed to get at least a basic set of those. Hours are a precious comodity, and what makes people decide if they keep playing or not. I thought in the last months it will be dangerous for DU that if you can take away peoples hard spend hours over hours just with brute force (and we all know thats what some people do, just to fuck around with other people) it might be a thing that gets the average player, that came into this building game to build, to say after getting raped by a big group "fuck this I am out of here" and potentially get the playerbase to a dangerous threshold (and to be clear for all the PvP guys already raging at this, this game has PvP, but its not PvP only, and even more than EVE this game will depend on the masses of miners & builders, and without those there are no materials to build PvP ships with or people to shoot at).
But now with introducing those "BPOs" or schematics, for those prices, and you basicly need them for every tiny bit, (not that there is like a Metalworks schematic, teaching you screws and pipes) the hours you need to spend get even worse to even get along a little bit. So when the time comes and stuff gets exploidable by war, can be taken from you, just because you decide not to be happy with a 1000 member organistion. You will be literally fucked and leave this nice game for good. Especially as its a game you pay for to have fun, and getting robbed by a big group of uncountable hours of monotoneous hard labor is no fun...

I think you are reading this incorrectly, we aren't complaining that we cant get "the best of everything in a few months". I have been playing for a few months, mostly solo as my friends have quit, and I wont have everything with my play style. I'm fine with that as I see I have way more to do then RL time to play. My disappointment with 0.23 is the fact that I need to run to the market every 5 min. I'm about 130km away from the main markets so that's a bunch of time sunk just to fly there. If I have an hour to play I need to decide is it worth it to just fly there and back.

I enjoy being apart of the community and using the markets but now I need to run there for every schematic. I can but the question is, do I want to invest that time and, is it fun? It's usually not worth my time and I find something else to do or some other game to play. Is it fun, no because crashing has implications and also takes time to fix. I stare at my screen doing nothing, wishing the fun would come back.

So many times I am on the phone or multi tasking and cant be on comms with an org. Reality has a way to force you to be solo sometimes or when you dont have long to play, you do so without an org. I fear we are taking a very narrow view of what a MMO should be. People are going to do what they want, you cant force them because they either find a work around or simply leave.

My solution was to send in a cancellation request and just not play anymore.

It's a shame, but not my decision.

Like it or leave as the saying goes.

Yes, it is. Especially after last update. Am I supposed to dig-dig-dig all the time? Now, after last update I have nothing to do, but dig. To be able to produce now I have to buy a recipe. This is total bullshit! There are plethora of games, where I should dig a shit out of a planet so a game starts to be interesting after a MONTHS of real gameplay. I do not want another such game. I have it enough in EVE. I suppose to stop playing DU, if things not change. This is sad. I had a hope, that DU will be different...

If been contemplating what the player cycle will be in the situation that we have found ourselves in. Do players really quit forever or just until a major update comes along and they buy a month sub and jump in and try again? If the water is still cold, jump back out until the next big update months down the road? I left and came back to eve many many times. Each time with a huge gap in between, I found new playstyles and content to enjoy. I dont thinknthe question is if players will quit and never come back or not, the question is, how much does this all hurt the business case for NQ?

Agreed it is sad. In my 20+ years of gaming and MMOs, never has a heartbreaking of an update ever hit until 0.23. It is a paralyzing update and there is more fun elsewhere know but I still have hopes......hopefully realized in due time.

Yeah its just plain boring now.  I tried to login and play the other day and spent hours trying to find recipes since it's such a PAIN to search for them.  I can't believe how rudimentary the search features are in this game.  Three hours later and four marketplace trips that still are so laggy it makes the game crash every time and  I realize I have to go to another planet for three of the schematics.  So that means I now have to build up my skills again.   Nope.  I don't want to spend another hour or two clicking those damn skills buttons and trying to drag them into order with the most un-user-friendly ordering feature I have ever seen.

So that's like four hours of game play and nothing, whatsoever, fun about any of it.   I can't even bring myself to spend 30 minutes logging in and crashing several times just to claim my daily money.  This game might sound good on paper, but its just not fun at all for me anymore.  Most of my org has quit playing too. Everyone playing different games now.   I dont know if NQ can fix it, so idk if I'll play again.  Have to wait and see if any of their new features add a little more fun, or if its just more sitting inside a menu and clicking stuff or not.

Wait? Huh? Not sure who you guys are but this doesnt make much sense. DU also is not a survival game. My goto game is a survival game and it actually has survival elements. I for one do not want DU to become a survival game, there are way better ones that DU will never surpass.

I also dont agree that everyone should NOT be able to build anything they want. You should be able to make everything however, doing that takes time, RL time that is scarce and I simply could not devote the time needed to do everything so that is why I go to the markets. Plus I'd rather buy at a discount then make everything but the issue is allowing something doesnt mean that everyone will choose that course.

Real life example - I CAN sail around the world however it takes to long so I'd rather fly. The creators allowed me to sail but instead of making me fly, they let me decide and since my time is scarce, I choose what they were going for anyway but I still have options and can sail and or fly when I want to. See the difference now?
