A system like this is a win win for everyone.

New players get to have that New player experience.  Old players that want that new player experience can go have that new player experience. (NQ gets another sub from the old player).  Old players get to keep their stuff.  It creates an event in the game.

With the way it would work is Heleo's our current solar system, would get a schematic to build a stargateA. The new solar system would also get a schematic to build a stargateA.  Obviously these stargate schematics would cost allot of money. And take a long time to build (giving these new players alonger new player experience). And they would need to be built in PVP space, (so they can be destroyed, and players are each side can decide, na we dont want those players to join our system), They would also need to be fueled to maintain power.

An added NQ advantage to this setup is if at any time the new solar system ever becomes not financially viable, They can always create a supernova event where everyone needs to vacate that solar system And it gets destroyed and lost forever.

Basically it solves allot of problems for everyone, its a win win for everyone.

Economy is far from dead. Does stuff insta sell on the market? no, It can be weeks for an item to sell, but then the next week you can hardly keep the stuff stocked.

You will always sell ore. Its a great way to make money. Even those people with multiple accounts and years of gameplay still sell ore. There are other ways to make money besides selling ore and factory work. (selling ship/ship designs, Selling station/station designs, Selling ore locations, Transporting goods for players, Running aphilia missions, skilling up in Handling skills and buffing other peoples things, Selling things you pirate, And soon what ever these alien things bring us, might even find a situation of guns for hire being a thing.

A new player can compete with players with multiple accounts/years of gameplay in industry. You can hire people to touch your machines so they are running at max efficiency.

If you dont like territory scanning you dont have to. Other people like to scan and you can buy scans off of them. You want random new resources? we already got those they are called asteroids, you want more? Well the new alien mechanic coming in is going to be just that.

This infatuation that a wipe is going to make everything great is just laughable. You say your tired of mining ore just to sell because industry is not worth it for new players. Well with a wipe, industry is not going to be worth it for new players. Atleast not solo players. Its going to be the group of 20 or 50 people that work industry togeather.  And they are not going to sell those first things cheap. So while you say your tired of selling ore, with a wipe your going to mine allot more and sell allot more to be able to buy the things your buying now.

Basically your way better off now as a new player then you would be after a wipe.

If all L cored ships where L sized, If all M core ships where M sized, if all S core ships where S sized.  I would agree.  But you can get a medium core ship that weighs 10KT, and you can get a Large core ship that weighs 1KT.

Core size does not reflect ship size.  And this is something I said from day 1 when they added shields to PTS. Shield HP should be a multiple of voxel HP.

Restricting L shields to L core only would be bad for the game.

RugesV got a reaction from OrionSteed in Warp beacon RDMS
Currently there is no RDMS for warp beacons.  The way they currently work is if you place it on a personal core only you can warp to it. If you place it in an organization anyone inside that org can warp to that beacon. There is no RDMS needed once you are inside an org that has a beacon.

And yes there is a 24 hour period once placed for them to become active and allow players to warp to them.

There needs to be a right added to the game such as "allow warp".  Where a player or org can then select the actors they want to use that beacon. And the right "allow warp". And add the tags you set to either the warp beacon itself or the core that the beacon is on.

Fling can be tricky so please implement 1 click autopilot as default. I don’t like other players they create lag, so please make it so I don’t have to see other people. I don’t like having to take time to fly to places so please make travelling instant. I don’t like any form of competitive play or challenge, purpose or effort in anything, so please remove anything like that.

I kinda like the fog, just not every day.  I would even be willing to go with some heavier fog days if we could get some no fog days. Right now if you want to take any screenshots you have to wait for magic hour (the 20 minutes when the sun goes down but it is still light outside and the fog is gone).

This is a great post.  Name calling doesn't get anyone anywhere. It alienates people from voicing their opinion in the future too.

I see this from all sides, as this is really boiling down to a architectural design issue.  The dirty secret is that the industrial, shop type players *need* PvP players in the game. What's the point of producing all that stuff with ore if there's no destruction of said parts? In the end, you just get a bottle neck of parts with no destruction / decay.

The builder types need ore too, but really aren't fighters lol, so they can get mad when they're ganked. They're flying in PvP space, so the complaints illicit a response from the PvP'ers and yadda yadda yadda, arguing.

I do hope that NQ does a major overhaul of the PvP mechanic.  I want to see PvP succeed and be fun for that play style in the worst way.  It's the life blood of a game where they have such robust industry like this one.

Last year this time I was flying to other planets praying I got my hands on some T3 or T4 ore, as scanning was boring as h.  You wanted gold nuggets?  Good luck...Asteroid mining has been so much better imo. It's kind of a surprise which ore you're going to get, it's fun to go out with friends and mine them once you've scouted them and discovering them for your corp has been enjoyable too.  I would rather have this system, even in the chance you could get ganked, 100 times over than this time last year. It is absolutely an improvement over what was.  And OP, I'm not attacking your opinion, just stating mine.  You do raise valid points in your post.

Use your good ship to track down the asteroid. Dont land. just find the last location. Go back to your space station and land. Now get out your cheap space only ship does not even need the Dsat on it. One you dont care about losing. Now fly back to that asteroid and start mining. If you do get shot down, your not losing very much. You could even get blown up 9 times out of 10 and still make a profit. (granted the reality is you wont get shot at very often).

Next up watch where you are mining.  You start mining an exotic 23 SU from a planet, people are generally going to show up and see whats out there. You got to an uncommon that is 150SU out people are not generally going to bother (not guaranteed as bored people will still check it out if nothing else is going on).  Also consider what planets you are mining on. Some have more PVPers then others.

You also have the safe zone (dont forget you can use the filter option to only sort threw asteroids that are in the safe zone).

Yes the PVP zone asteroids where put out there as a honey pot for PVPers, But it is not required, and the risk can be mitigated. You just have to weigh the risk vs reward for yourself.

X universe has a good system for this. Each station would have several parking area's. (Several s, m, l). When you want to land at a station you request docking permission. It gives you a weigh point to land at a specific pad. Once half of the pads are filled up the pad opens up and puts the ship into perm storage. When a player needs his ship again he can go to any open pads terminal of the correct size and request his ship be brought out of perm storage.

The rest of buildings like towers, apartments, houses and other crap is useless, because your Avatar don't need it. Your Avatar don't sleep, eat, poop and not event TALK :D.
    Ideas?
Wardrobe - place to change appearance (remove left menu button of avatar and add it here)
Bed placed on static core gives more logout bonuses. Something like 300 000 quanta for next login after N hours.
Toilets or showers - gives 6h boost to skill point learning.
Add "push to talk" for people to communicate and build conference rooms, bars and other useless honycomb piles.
