    Hello dear NQ Team,
    I would like to discuss a problem, that I am sure many others would agree with.
     
    I ask you to share information about restarts, updates or problems with the server here in the forum.
    For example, you could create a new category for this (mayxbe something like: server status or server status messages). But this would also be possible in the area of announcements.
     
    I have already received a lot of feedback on the Discord Server and I also share the following opinion.
    The DU Discord server is way too confusing and restless. It is very uncomfortable for me to even bother with it.
     
    If you create an area for such messages on this forum and make sure that no one can reply, only the information can be read, everyone can relax and read the information they want to have here on the forum and see what's going on.
     
    Personally, I think communication is a major weak point at Novaquark, and this is able to create a lot of frustration and anger.
     
    Let's fix that together.

    Ich finde unsere Community wirklich toll !
     
    Und ich sag euch auch gleich warum ich das so sehe:
     
    1. Fast alle Topic`s sind sinnvoll.
    2. Die Trollverseuchung liegt bei praktisch 0%.
    3. Kritiken aller Art werden immer ruhig und vernünftig diskutiert.
    4. Es wird viel gelacht und man hat hier eingentlich nie das Gefühl vorgeführt zu werden.
    5. Die Antworten sind zu praktisch 100% immer freundlich und genauso sinnvoll wie die Topic`s.
     
    UND, was mich auch sehr beeindruckt ist :
    Im viel größeren und umfangericheren, englischsprachigen, Forumsbereich sieht es (änderung>>> "größtenteils") genauso aus, sodass man mit Fug und Recht sagen kann,
    das die gesamte Community (jaaa ich meine euch! 😃) hier im Forum "für mich" zu den angenehmsten aller Zeiten gehört !
     
    Manschmal bin ich hier im Forum mehr am schreiben als das ich überhaupt spiele, und DAS mag bei mir was heißen ! 😁
     
    Möge es auch in Zukunft, und für immer, so bleiben !

    Bitte beachten: das ist kein professioneller Channel! Aktuell hab ich weder Zeit noch Muße die Videos groß zu bearbeiten... 
    Sollte es gut ankommen, könnte man das auch wieder machen, aktuell möcht ich nur ein wenig helfen...

    Jap,
    der allzubekannte und oft in den Threads erwähnte Kumpel von mir hatte ebenfalls RAM Probleme. Da ich hier keine Grundsatzdiskussion lostreten will, lasse ich den Hersteller mal wech:
     
    Ausgangslage - 16GB Ram (2x8) = Ab und zu einen Bluescreen, aber nicht häufig -> 32GB Ram (4x8) = Bluescreen -> 24GB Ram (3x8) = Bluescreen -> 16GB Ram (2x8 nur die neuen) keine Bluescreens mehr -> 24GB Ram (3x8 nur die neuen, es wurde noch einer dazu besorgt) = Alles fein!
     
     
     
    Allerdings ist ein Bluescreen höchstwahrscheinlich nicht auf DU rückzuführen, sondern liegt allgemein an der RAM konfiguration bzw. an den Riegeln selbst.

    Huhu,
     
    ihr solltet den Planeten auch ohne Skill verlassen können. Allgemein gesagt.
    Ich habe zummindest keinen Skill und komme dennoch in den Orbit (ja ich weiß... der Satz ist echt nicht gut formuliert xD).
     
    Wenn ihr Probleme habt, das Schiffe driften, liegt das meistens daran, das es leicht schräg in der Luft "liegt". Entweder die Winkel anpassen oder STRG (Bremse) gedrück halten :).
    Ich arbeite zusätzlich noch an einem Script, welches Schiffe ausbalanciert und auf einer Stelle hält. Sobald ich damit fertig bin, schicke ich es gern rum.

    I'm reading this thread and scratching my head. 

    All is fine and dandy, all arguments are good- but - and that is crucial but, to go into pvp area i have to know that i can influence result of pvp engagement. At very least i have to believe i can influce that result. Until meta change, there is no way in hell i will take any cargo hauler outside safe zone. I'm not a gambler. 

    As a hermit - if i go outside i either meat ganker and die, or i don't meat pvp (so anyone). That is pure chance. Dice roll. My skills, my ship design won't matter because pvp ship will practically always be faster and if pilot knows what he is doing it will kill me with ease. I can't fight because there is no way to make proper XS killbox that is able to haul cargo worth of time investment. I can make anything bigger than XS because it will be dead every single time. So I'm not going to participate in pvp in any other role than yet another ganker - if at all - because this is the only single way I have any influence on result. 

    But lets say i'm not a hermit - i'm part of organization. So now i have to take on escort. How many escort ship do i need? How long escorting players will have to stick around when i'm mining? How many I actually need to be safe? 
    From what I understand, you need more borg minicubes than your opponent have. Gankers has 3? Bring 6. Or 12. No group of ganker will attack freighter defended by enough boxes. But no way enough players will sacrifice their time to escort hauler which is quarantined not to be attacked. Who would sign up for few hours of total boredom and doing nothing? Not me. And for sure not enough players will go with me for me to have enough escorts to be safe. 
    And again - with current meta it comes back to gambling. Either i will have enough escort to discourage gankers or i'm (and now with escort ships too) dead. Again there is no skill involved on my part or even on escort part. 

    So my conclusion is - current meta kills pvp in any other form than ganking. Kills shipping outside safe zone. And kills everything which is not borg minicube killbox, at least outside safe zone. Until this is change, and we know what will come after, any changes to safe zones can wipe huge percent of player base. Only gamblers and gankers would stay - and gamblers tend to bankrupt themselves so they would probably be wiped out of the game too, by pure natural selection. Than gankers would follow because they would have literally nothing to hunt for. 

    Convince me i'm wrong.

    Warpen geht zu:
    - einem der im Spiel integrierten Warp Punkte an jedem Planeten/Mond auf der Sternenkarte
    - einem von einem Spieler errichteten Warp Beacon

    Die Sichtbarkeit des Warp Beacons kann per RDMS eingestellt werden (ähnlich wie bei den Surrogate Pods denke ich, bin aber Aeonen davon entfernt im Alleingang nen Warp Beacon zu errichten 😉 )
    Warp in eine beliebiege Richtung geht nicht. es braucht immer eines vorbestimmten Warp Zielunktes)

    In addition to the larger ship trapping a smaller one scenario, they would be a great way to facilitate docking a ship in a player made construct. 
     
    Whether the construct is on the ground, in space or another ship, a pilot with a ship of the right size would approach at the right speed, hit a button and the construct's tractor beam would take over its movement.  They could follow scripted paths to guide ships inside and into docking bays.

    I think regardless of what would be the best way, it will still be a long and rocky road to balance the game in all areas.
    Not only trading or mining needs revisions, but also pvp itself. Strictly speaking, everything still has to be adjusted or balanced.
    If the economy is not yet working properly in any area, there isn't really much you can do except wait until the individual points are further tinkered with.
    Trading, mining, piracy, building and everything else that is possible is all still under development.
    At the moment there is frustration with PVP for a number of reasons. If you make the change recklessly and remove the SafeZone, then the dealers will be frustrated .... So there is still a lot of work to do.
     
     
    Furthermore, it sounds to me that PVP can only consist of two fronts.
    Hunters and Traders ...
    If a lot of PVP horny hunters are waiting outside the safe zone, why don't they fight each other?
    Sounds for me only merchants get busted xD

    I agree and disagree. 
    I agree that it causes performance issues and that NQ should simply create a virtual garage system where any ship gets unloaded into after x hours idle. 
     
    I disagree that parking space is or will be a issue.
    Just park on top of their crap.
    If you do not intent to stay there for hours(being part of the problem) then no one will even notice that you parked on their stuff.

    Generally i think the idea is okay.
    But at first they have to get in line with the performance =).
     
    Maybe also get the existing devices to life. (3D Printer is really working with an animation or something like this 😃 )

    Whilst i am not a fan of restrictions on elements, I would like to see a maximum of +1 weapon size to core size (or even +0).  So an XS core can field a maximum of S weapons and so on, this will solve part of the issue with min - max pvpers using the best of xs detection and larger weapons.  

    The problem is that most pvpers dont want fair, they want easy, they will exploit the shit out of anything they can to get an advantage, then most will cry and leave if the game tries to bork that advantage.  Anyone flying these 'borg' cubes clearly have no class, no interest in fair, they will simple move onto the next exploit and big ugly ship.
     
    They should also remove ALL voxel defence after two layers of peneration, so stop voxel layering abuse.

    At this point, many of us realize the dangers of XS core sniper ships. For those that don't know, these are XS ships + Gunner seats that are typically equipped with something like a Space Radar L and Large Railgun L. I want to talk about the math and logic behind a scenario associated with these little bastards.
     
    Let's start with the math given a scenario involving an XS core sniper aggressor (A Team) against a fleet comprised of an M core freighter and and two XS core sniper escorts (B Team).
     
    A Team can lock and fire at the B Team freighter at a range of 160km. BOOM! That's a lot of damage! Of course, B Team also has XS core snipers as an escort so surely this battle is about to turn... right?
     
    Not quite. The B Team sniper could be an exact replica of the A Team sniper but unfortunately, B Team can only target the aggressor's XS core at a mere 40km. That's a big 'ole 120km difference between defensive and offensive distances (don't flame me on this comment just yet, read the next lines).
     
    While traveling in the big void of space this isn't too much of an issue. Logically, you could just have the escorts run 120km in front of and behind the freighter. The snipers could see and presumably handle anything coming up in front or approaching quickly from behind during tavel acceleration to 30km/h. But what about when there are aggressors spotted during the approach to the destination? Does the lead escort suffice in managing a flanking situation at the destination?
     
    The deceleration distance of freighters (even with a bunch of retro brakes) is measured in SU given the time it takes to slow down. We're talking several hundred km when our Space Radar L can only see out 400km. Is it too late at that point for the freighter to attempt an abort? Does the freighter just smash that WARP NOW button to zoom off to safely and say, "Several million in warp cells well-spent!" Does the freighter pilot just cover every spare inch of the ship with Retro-Rocket Brakes like he's making a pepperoni pizza at home? is this a moot point and none of this matters?

    Hell if I know. Discuss.

    (nagut... das sage ich nicht andauernd, irgendwann wird der Spruch ja langweilig ^.^)

    ich glaube da hast du vertex etwas missverstanden. Auf dem Sactuary Mond kannst du NUR auf deinem Gebiet abbauen. Nirgends anders. Es sei denn du bekommst passende Rechte für ein Gebiet welches ein anderer Spieler beansprucht hat.
     
    Mit außerhalb von Sanctuary war gänzlich außerhalb des Mondes gemeint. Also auf anderen Planeten zum Beispiel kannst du einfach drauf los buddeln, es sei denn das Gebiet in dem du buddeln willst ist bereits beansprucht.
     
     
    Oder anders gesagt:
    Q: Gilt der Abbau auf einen noch nicht beanspruchten Gebiet nur auf den Sanctuary Mond oder auf allen Planeten?
    A: Gilt auf allen anderen Planeten. Auf dem Sanctuary Mond geht es nicht.
     
    Oder habe ich euch jetzt missverstanden? xD
