Everyone hates on the multi boxing, but sometimes you just wanna do something that requires more than 1 person, and you dont feel like waiting 15-20 minutes to get a group organized. In any game without match making where you can just click and join a group and do a thing, you have to organize groups by organizing people. Its like hearding cats sometimes.

So i support multiple subscriptions and i will have multiple subscriptions if i find i spend most of my time waiting for pee breaks, smoke breaks, dogs gotta go out, oh my cat knocked this over, what's my kid into.

Just stumbled upon a YouTube video showing this, and I'm bloody impressed. Beyond words. Quite literally, I've typed and deleted lines in this post for about half an hour not knowing quite what to say. So just well done devs.

I don't mean functionally but aesthetically what would be your particular flavor of choice?

For me i would favor ships that would be kind of like rat rods, junkers, minmatar like ships, ones that look like rickety pieces of junk that manage to do a job with minimal excess

I'd also be really excited to see ones inspired by but not direct copies of romulan ships from star trek tng, they always looked the coolest

I rather like the looks of these:

Can I build something like them? Not sure, depends on the flexibility of the tools. But maybe something a little less complex?

I think I would like something that is a cross between, Harrower-class star destroyer and the Khanid Amarr ships, (yes I realize that only means black paint instead of gold plated everything).

I cant offer much on the speed limit of the game be it light or FTL, or Warp (folding space).

What I can say thought is that I prefer the ability to travel FAST and or DISTANT to scale with ship size. Meaning a small fighter should not be able to jump or go as far as a large ship with more resources, reserves and capacity.

Small ships should not be able to warp or FTL, should have limited range but be quick or agile.

Medium ships should have a mild jump capability and have a farther reach

Larger ships should be able to warp or FTL due to fuel capacity and engine size.

Capitol ships should be able to freely roam the universe with an entire ecosystem on board, only stopping for raw materials from time to time.

Those are my 'quick thought's' on travel.

Why all the hate on here? We are all gamers looking to play good video games, act like it and not children. Unfortunately for the console gamers out there, it is true that the devs have already stated there will be no port to console. You've got a couple years - save for a PC if you really want to play.

I would be much more interested in mumble integration, or a web api like eve, where I can create channels and access control based on the permissions I give my corp/nation/nonprofit and the relationship status with outside individuals and groups.

I like the idea of things in safe zones just logging off and disappearing or whatever, and things in dangerous zones being left floating to be pillaged by anyone lucky enough to stumble across it.

If i leave my space ship laying around in the danger zone i should expect to log back in and re-spawn in a safe zone with empty pockets and only vague memories of a ship i once had.

persistent sandbox to me means you better hide or get safe if you want things to be there when you get back.

It has nothing to do with the shards, objects can be dynamically spawned or removed in empty space for players to find, and since you told me not to i'll use eve as an example, You go into a system its a shard, its basically always the same, but you can scan down instances of pve sites, do them and then they're gone, if you go back to that spot its empty, if you scan around perhaps another will spawn.

There are aspects of the game that wont be voxel, weapon models, cockpits and other elements. To think that as the game matures there wont be a demand for new items of this nature to be added is naive.

you seem to argue questions with assumptions which is getting very tiresome. my question was directed at NQ who is the only ones who can actually answer the original question. so i see no reason to debate it any further.

I fully support and am glad to hear this is a subscription type game because:
it means a better chance for updated content later on banning poo heads is more of a punishment and easier to enforce via billing info than IP/email (i say that knowing i may very well be considered a poo head)  servers less likely to disappear without notice  so NQ I expect you'll get much hate for this, but you made the right choice in my eyes and i'm sure i'm not alone based on the other posts i've read

If you want to build a civilization a democracy works well.  If you want to lead an Armada of blood thirsty raiders, hierarchical dictatorships work best.

A group of blood thirsty raiders is more akin to an army than a state. Unlike most armies Blackguard soldiers can quit at any time with no repercussions
