  1. NQ says removing the holes boosts the performance. NQ says making the ships go boom due to stress instead of seeing long voxel damage boosts performance. NQ says having many constructs in 1 place reduces performance so they should be moved/whatever. You know what has high performance ? Checkers. But for some reason people don't pay sub to play it and it's popularity is in kind of decline for last decades.
  2. So NQ needs a way to dump all this crap so when you fly over alioth the old crap is not loaded from DB and they don't pay AWS. So they make taxes as 99% of playerbase already left and will just lose their "civilization building mark" as their terris will abandon. Ok. I just usually see companies doing more than erasing people stuff to get players back. It should just be French logic that I don't get.
  3. That ship has no-where near 14 gunners. The most efficient ship is piloted by a pilot using a remote control to control the ship and sitting in the gunner seat. So 1 Gunner seat per ship. This is due to limitation of 1 shield per core. Therefore it's more efficient to have "1 seaters" (in some cases 2 max) as ANY ship has same tank (1L shield gen). Want more? bring more ships, not more guns on single ship. + game can't handle more than 4 gunner seats on 1 ship, all kinds of weirdness starts to happen. Sneaky does a good job if people look at CVA for meta now lol. Edit: I read your post again, yea 14 L nano cores is best. (14 small L core ships that are very fast)
  4. 14 gunner seats... yea. I see you speak from experience and therefore you should definitely have some bright ideas on how to balance PVP. /sarcasm off
  5. It's not the beginning, it's about midway of the end.
  6. Hmmm.... He is a pirate, he is supposed to do that.
  7. So am I not supposed to report an exploit being used or what ?
  8. We are far from doing anything "efficient". Let's first get to "stable" then to "feature-complete" and only then do that part.
  9. Do you really think anyone who developed it ever flew a ship to D6 before committing the code ? New players spawn in speeders and are supposed to go to market to buy stuff. They will test the stuff.
  10. It's like the game development speed. "One construct at a time" speed.
  11. Yea and add the other 95% of the missing content while you are on it. Best by hotfix.
  12. So a ship that has stacked elements SHOULD NOT leave safe zone or what ? What happens if it leaves the safezone and I capture it ? The punishment is my loot being deleted ? What happens if it leaves the safezone and I engage but fail to capture it due to reduced damage as it has lower crossection ? Due to days(months?) of ticket response time, what prohibits players that want to hide stacking to deconstruct the ship before GMs check the ship ? How should I find if ship has 2 engines that are 1 inside another in which case there are no visual difference ? Should I order a check "due to suspicion" ?
  13. If stacking is only prohibited in PVP so: Miner builds a ship S using element stacking. Miner flies ship S to outer planet and gets killed. I capture ship S and report the miner. Ship S is deleted. Outcome: Miner used exploit, I lost my loot. NQ Logic at it's finest ?
  14. So: Ship S0 has 2 engines side by side. Ship S1 has them clipped by 1 (it happens when you get one near the other from one of the sides) Ship S2 has them clipped by 2... ... Ship Sn has them clipped one inside another. From what I see S1 is not considered "exploit" as it happens "by itself". If I find how to make S2 configuration "by itself" will S2 stop being exploit ? What about S3 or S8 ? What is stacking that is not allowed ?
  15. Good luck with that. NQ never explains stuff. They took a ship we killed from our graveyard and gave it back to the victim with 0 explanation. (our name logger logged NQ-<someone> and ship disappeared at the same time).
  16. Then I will stack everything into one XL engine and have a flying monster engine killer ! No, really.
  17. First time I see someone talking about mining and I am like "hmm, I would try that"... "Make stuff go boom" mining style ftw !
  18. I know a game about civilization building where you PVP from turn one, the game is literally called "civ".
  19. Why go there if: 1) Every creator will open a ticket for each of their ship to be checked "for verification" 2) Every player will open 2-3 tickets for his own version of <insert the name of the ship from some movie> and other ships they built. "Just to be sure". 3) All pvp orgs will open a dozen of tickets for each of their opposing org ships to be validated before they dismantle their own jank. 4) Everyone and his grandma will open tickets to check Legion ships as some of them are known to have "weird environmental effects". You can still use jank, you just dismantle the ship after the fight and before it gets deleted then rebuild from BP.... You do it anyway after a fight to replace the damaged stuff.
  20. Any option that can have a clearly defined non GM-manually-deciding rule they can come up with is good on my side. Keep investment ? Make the thing freeze in place until fixed, doesn't matter why and what. People that build ships will have +1 reason to build again.
  21. oh boi. First trailer mentions it you say. That sure makes the game PVP-combat oriented and full of hard core players searching for blood. Trailer even shows one of the ships firing on another and actually hitting it !!! Moreover, the voxels of the other ship react to the hit and bend !!!
  22. What's your problem guys. You decide on the amount of engines and put them at rear. One near another as close to the border of box as possible. Put the rest of crap in front of the engines, you have space until the box ends. When fighting, point the sausage nose towards the enemy. This flying bunch of elements is the most efficient design so why bother.
  23. 2 PVP pros discussing how and what ships should be used in PVP. Popcorn time. In the meantime we should kinda make a script: if (engaged(target)) then { nq.report_for_inspection(target); } DUing manual asset deletions is so popular in MMO yea? It scales well too.
  24. NQ has so much free time as the game is almost feature-complete and bug free. They should definitely allocate like 90% of their staff to "please investigate ships XXX" tickets.
