BOO is still actively playing Eve, and have had some great participation from our DU base. We are running weekly fleet roams on various days, mining ops for our indy guys, and have recently got all the infrastructure setup to accommodate everyone. If interested in playing Eve, pop on down to Amarr Empire space and we'll see about being friendly neighbors with you.

Every pre-alpha community is heavily RP focused with a few small groups sprinkled in who don't role play. This will change in the next two years. But for now, if that's your thing, there are groups who are obsessed with numbers and backstories that I am sure would take you in an instant.

Could you elaborate a bit on how land ownership is unbalanced?
I know some issues I had were players leaving the game unannounced when they had land/home in a "village". Something something magic, and it caused problems with the right people getting that land when it lapsed.
But that could be something entirely unrelated to what Void is talking about.

Prison system is fine so long as there are checks and balances. If you're able to just hold me against my will indefinitely, then no thank you. The amount of abuse that would receive would be worse than a Hutt tampon.

That, my dear sir, is just false. You can do plenty of stuff with the eve api. It's the most powerful intel tool in existence and I really hope we get it in DU to do amazing stuff
As far as I know, they also released their new official app for phones/tablets and you can remote login from your tablet and do some small stuff. That, and with Eve's API system, is pretty damn amazing and opens up a lot of options.
EDIT: Not sure if remoting in is related to the new phone app, I just know someone did.
