  1. Ok, I've been playing with the RDMS since it was put out on the ATV server.  So I am familiar with how it's supposed to work.  However I am having issue after issue with these permissions.

An org mate and I have been building close together.  One day we can place cores next to each other and the next day we can't.  I've tried adding the right  to disregard the building bounds limits so many times.  I get it working for one member and then the other member can't use it, despite both members being in the same policy.  I've tried setting it up on both personal rdms and org rdms.  Ive tried tokenizing and not tokenizing the cores.  But no matter what he still cannot place a core anywhere near any of mine.  So we changed our plans and this time he had to add ME to be able to build next to his and that didn't work until he tokenized it.  But he did the same thing as I do and mine is not working.  So...

Before I start over and set ALL my perms for the 5th time, can someone please, please tell me the exact step-by-step method for adding rights to another member, be it just being able to place a core or to override the build zone or whatever.  I've had trouble with all of them at one point or another.  It's been a nightmare.  So I MUST be doing something wrong on a consistent basis.

I have a personal TU down.  And all my cores are being given to my Org.  Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

On another note... It is curious to find out that having a core that is placed on another TU can block building space in mine though.  Does that mean that you can grief someone by putting up cores on the edge of your TU so you can keep them from using your own land?  I only tested this with a player who is in my org and we allow each other access to each other's TUs to mine and stuff, but how would that work if no perms were set up at all?

  2. I am also having issues with blueprints.  I tried to do a test last night on a large static blueprint.  I made a blueprint and then tried to place it.  It placed, but then disappeared and I did not get my mats back.  I did get the core back. I dont care about the mats, it was a test BP, but I have SO many bps that I spent over a year building and I cannot place any of them now.  And even when I did try, there are no placement tools whatsoever!  I have to drop it and hope it lands in the right spot.

Its been weeks and this is still happening ?  This has shut down my game play atm and I dont' even want to login anymore.

  3. I have the same problem.  When applications were sent through the website, we were allowed to reply to them to ask a question or two.   We can no longer do that.  So I have to accept people blind if they don't go to my website or discord as asked.

Now I "have" been using that as a screening process thus far, but I should not have to deny every player who didn't see that I need to talk to them first.  That's going to end up costing us some otherwise good members to our org.

  5. Do the kickstarter gold packs come with a beta key?  I have a friend in Argentina who is having issues paying for a supporter pack.  It won't accept his card or a paypal payment.  I'm wondering if I can give my beta key to him?  I think I have one, but not sure where to find it.

For the love of his holiness Lord JC (praise be!) please don't quote an entire post.

So I'm writing about a hypothetical battle I participated in last night, and give a play-by-play of everything that happened.

"I'm flying out of the mothership in my fighter and right out of the gate, two guys get melted, my BFF accidentally presses the eject button, a squad-mate gets EMP'ed which sends him full throttle (how exactly does this work?) head on into another enemy, our miners which returned at the worst possible time get destroyed by a black hole torpedo, and our kamikaze team gets hacked and explodes still inside the launch bay,  all before I can get my first shot lined up. ..."

I go into paragraphs on top of paragraphs of detail and the post is probably twelve feet long by the time I'm done. Then you come along and you shamelessly quote the entire thing from start to finish.

First off, I and probably half the forum collectively facepalm. You've basically duplicated my twelve foot post which is a lot of unnecessary scrolling that I doubt most will be fond of. It's also not the best forum etiquette.

Additionally, how is the OP or other readers supposed to know what you're talking about? Is it something specific, or is it generally the whole thing? If it was the whole thing, was the quote really needed to begin with?  Having to figure out what you're referencing can make it difficult to reply back and keep discussion moving. If you're going to quote an entire post and make references to multiple specific parts, don't be afraid to quote specific sections and respond to each one after the other. Post-start, Quote, response, quote, response, quote, response, etc... post-end.

Having multiple quotes in your single post doesn't make it bad or hard to read so don't be afraid to do this. Same thing if you're quoting multiple people in a topic, try not to break up what could have been one post, into multiple posts so you can reply to multiple peoples quotes.

You'll also probably, hopefully, get the attention of a forum mod who will either ask you to cut it down or will do it for you.

Oh, and don't forget to paragraph. No one likes a wall of text, nor do we want to paste your text into notepad and paragraph it so we don't strain our eyes so much. Yes, I do resort to this when the situation calls.

Anyways, I just wanted to make this public. I know this is the internet and all, but lets not make things harder than they need to be. The real world is already hard enough. Thanks.  -_-

I am not sure what you are talking about or why you post a wall of text about not posting walls of text I think walls of text without proper grammar and punctuation are fine especially if i put tldr in there somewhere i also like reading the same thing over and over very much and so do all of my friends from forever and many times they complain that they have to go back to a post to see if it still says what the little quote said and that takes time and is no fun so please dont tell me what to quote because i like the way i quote and so does everyone else in the universe if you are not sure what im talking about just reread your own post and let me know what you think might be irrelevant and i will happily clarify with another quote of your entire post along with the last one so you are not confused because it can be very confusing unless youre smart so i hop you are as smart as everyone else and will know what i am talking about if not HERE ARE SOME CAPS SO YOU KNOW IM SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TLDR: lol.

What if it were free after a year of playing?

I'm sorry, this is one of my hot-button issues.  For the life of me, I will just never understand why people think that MMO games should be free.  I just don't get it.  Programmers spend years and years to learn their trade and then years and years to make a game and in the case of games like this, they then pay years and years of sever costs, maintenance and updates to continue providing access.  Not to mention the innovation, risk taking and passion game devs have is unlike any other service that I have ever paid for.   But people still want them to be free?!

On the other hand, these very same people will buy a $600 phone and agree up front to pay anywhere from $50 -$100 or more per month to use the darn thing for at least two years or they are in breach of contract.   They seem to have no problem paying places like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon $10 a month forever to see reruns of movies that they have, most likely, already seen that took a fraction of the time and money to make and are not near as entertaining as a good MMO.  But no one seems to have a problem with that.   There are tons of similar examples that i won't go into, but I'm sure you get the gist.

So what is it about games that makes people like you believe that its ok to even suggest that other people work for free and even cover any costs they have to pay to provide you untold hours of free entertainment?   How does anyone think that's a reasonable request?

  8. I'm so tired of the shallow game play that comes with ftp and b2p  with their cash shops.  I want a game I can sink my teeth into long-term.  Without subs, the whole game is then designed to bring in cash shop sales, NOT into creating great game play. There are several MMOs out there with subs and most of them have been around for years because they work for the subscribers and do what makes US happy to keep us coming back.  f2p and cash shops make the devs work for the money men and their cash shop/lootbox scams.

  9. For some reason, I never considered that NQ would have some kind of a courier system running a delivery service for everyone.  I was under the understanding we players were to set up our own businesses and determine how they were run ourselves.  Did they ever say they were actually going to add that kind of system in anywhere?  I'd love to read more about their plans.

Also,  I never got into EVE so if ya'll think that's how it will be, can someone tell me more about how it worked?

  10. I think @_Anime_ already found Infinity Corp, right?

If not, or for anyone else interested, these orgs all have some LM players.  Some more than others.  There might be other orgs out there, but these are the three I am aware of.

  11. I don't like the idea of the markers being visible on the map either, but PVP isn't in yet.  Maybe that is already in their plans?  Either way, I will build with TUs whenever possible just to keep people from building near me if that's what I need in that particular spot.  But I am already planning on it to not change.  People who see my marker for my "hidden" underground base are still going to have to weigh the costs of attacking such a protected base.  Even if there is a flashing light with a giant arrow pointing towards it, the way I'm planning on building will probably (hopefully) make what's inside cost way to much to take.  I am actually looking forward to building for defense.  That is going to be a very exciting part of the game,  and one of the main reasons I remain a strong advocate for PVP in general.
