Also an honest thank you to the devs from me.

And dispite the bitterness of a few vocal people, I think most players enjoy the game.
There are some issues that are on the road map to be fixed, and some actual ingame issues are quickly improving.

Going around insulting the developer tho, will actually make them ignore your opinion, and why should they listen?

A negative tone or jabs while giving actual feedback also dont encourage anyone to read your feedback. Im not saying you have to like everything said, but a negative tone just discourages reading.

I am a 'fanboy' as well ... thx NQ,  I guess the majority of the players are mature enough to see, that it is not so easy to create something like DU,
otherwise we would see 1000s of projects like this.
I am in since 2018 (really?) and do not miss the times when I only could play from thursday to sunday with weeks of no game...
I use this more often as netflix, and, you know what? netflix is twice as expensive. And I can make my own drama..

Sorry to confuse you with other people but you have to admit it is difficult when you all parrot the same ridiculous excuses for poor behavior. The reason he was banned was for purposefully messing with developer owned constructs and acting like it is fine to do. You are pretending like only the devs are to blame and nobody else is at fault for anything, which is empirically incorrect.

What does an agreement between devs and players have to do with there being rules in the agreement specifically for players? Nothing. I am dev and I release EULA that says, "players can do this this this but not that that that". It isn't beholden to me as a developer. You as a player must agree to the rights and restrictions set forth by the devs in the EULA. There is no equality or equity to it. The developers didn't "fuck up" they made a small mistake. The actual fuck up is players taking advantage of the mistake, which can get you banned. There was nothing to fix for the devs in this context except maybe a reminder to always check permissions on dev owned constructs, prior to the actions that broke the market data. This isn't an instance of some long overdue bug that was never addressed until player did X and now suddenly it is being addressed. If it was something they knew about and put on the backburner, it still doesn't justify taking advantage by players.. All they did was paste the market back in place and put the data that they apparently do have backups for, back into the terminals. Oh and maybe actually set the permissions this time. Not doing this is no excuse to go rampant with dev owned things.

The developers have nothing to learn from here except their normal mistake. They made a Human mistake because they're people. The players who took advantage willfully attempted to do what they knew they shouldn't do, and will hopefully learn from their ban not to do that kind of thing elsewhere.

The sign is not being able to access the item. This logic is exactly the same as saying an unlocked door is a sign you have an invitation to enter. It is not.

Firstly, all press is good press. Secondly, one video by one YouTuber isn't going to do anything except bring more attention to the game. Even if it was more, thats all they are doing.

Yes, people do not need to be thanked to beta test. You are paying to test the game, paying to do a job that normally developers would hire people to do in-house. They do not have to when players will either do it for free or pay to access that.

Beta testers and pen testers are not the same. I explained the very obvious differences.

Devs can do whatever they want with their game. It is their game. EULA is a set of rules for players to agree to before getting access to the product. You don't agree you do not get access. The EULA is quite clear when you understand how to read, that developer made anything is not subject to rules for players. I keep saying mental gymnastics because everyone parroting your arguments is jumping through illogical hoops to come to insane conclusions. It is mental gymnastics to read, "Come in and do whatever you want" into, "RDMS wasn't set properly for this developer made construct", or "Devs said RDMS theft was allowed and they wouldn't get involved as an organization into any of it" into "We cannot get involved if a individual or org uses RDMS theft against other players". It is all very tiresome that you continue to rail against justified punishment. I have already said I agree that permabanning from everything is probably too harsh. That is not me saying there should be no punishment, however.

Its ok to say you are enjoying the game.

Does the game has some bugs?
    Yes.

    Is it unplayable sometimes?
    Absolutely.

I've lost a decent amount of progress to bugs in this game(and if the losses gets any worse I might not play till I know for sure know all those bugs are fixed) That does not mean it cannot still be enjoyable. For this price I've gotten more playtime than a lot of games I've spent $60+.

    No...

It is one thing to discover a bug like that and report it.  Even going as far as to put a small change to the structure.  But removing most of the structure then posting it all over Reddit with snide remarks and mocking NQ.  That is what got them banned.

If anything the devs were quite adult about their response.  Harsh, but adult.

This is prime example of bone head moves by players.  You know what you are doing is wrong, yet keep doing it, then when you realize you will get in trouble for it you ask not to be banned.  That is like taking the wheels off of a cop car and asking to not go to jail for vandalism and theft.

Part of problem, support (especialy in discord and probably in tickets too) is completly clogged by smartasses (or idiots) who spam to teleport them or ships after they crush or muck up res nodes or something every single day... when its 100% their gameplay trouble/error.

While I not name names obviously, but there is some people who already bothered support dozens upon dozens of times with "i need teleport" thing. They all waste already not perfect support team available resource.

So may be first logical step will be get rid of them some way.

    Never called NQ once.
    Sure that's my opinion.

But what would happen if everyone crashing would ask for NQ help?

I'm a early backer but couldn't really play or enjoy DU in alpha.
The start of the beta was not so good I admit, but periods were great and the tutorials very helpful. I felt the addiction coming up.

The last two days were fantastic for me and a friend learning the game and improving the starter Base.
thanks to NQ for all their effort

I now believe DU might be a very good and long lasting game.

I have the impression that it gets worse and worse, with some good moments,
it looks like it is impossible to fix things with so many people logging in.
I am working as a developer, and the most terrible situation is when the delivery timeline
is coming to an end and you still haven't tested the overall performance issues, since you didn't know,
    that they might exist.

    Hi everyone!

So I haven't seen one of these yet but thought it might be helpful. In fact this post was inspired by another user who had some great tips (Credit to @klobber for making me write this one, sorry if there are others. I haven't seen them yet.)

    So...

If you were just starting, what tips and tricks would the current you tell the past you?
    Thanks to @klobber, @Kezzle & @Anopheles for your contributions.

    Basic Stuff:
    - Don't use your speeder until you get to Sanctuary Moon...Seriously hang on to it!
    - If you have lots of random stacks in your inventory or a container inventory. You can right click to get them to stack up into single stacks.

    Quality of Life Tips:

    -  Lost your speeder somewhere? Well, if it is not far away (100km?) you can just fetch it, at least for the moment. Just open the Map (F4), go to constructs, choose your ship and press RMB, in the menu you find the fetch command. Click it, and your ship will be near you.
Make sure to read the warning dialog that pops up, though. It will save frustration. ? (I'd quote it but I can't remember all the things it said, so won't, in case, dear reader, you decide I've told you enough when I haven't). But don't fetch at markets as it can be glitchy and don’t fetch too close to the Arkship as it will destroy your craft.  Possibly also at markets in "no fly zones", but not tested this.
    -   If you see this when looking down, don’t move for several seconds...or you might fall into the ground, happened to me too often.

    Tutorials:
    - Make sure to do the tutorials. You get currency and instant use Talent Points that you can spend! (There is a bug around some of these currently that might mean you lose the stuff in you inventory. If that happens log out then log in again. The Dev team have been notified.)
    - Shift + pgdown moves Aphelia on if she is stuck or if you've completed a step early.

    Talent Tips:
    - Start learning about Static Cores in your talent tree early.
    - Take 5-10 minutes looking through each of the Talents. There are some for your character that involve running stats, jetpack stats that might be good for you to take on.
    - Make sure to queue up A LOT! Don't waste time by not having talents queued! Never log off without queued Talents!
    - A lot of the talents correspond with something. For example, mining and crafting will both have talents based around basic stuff. You don't need to worry about the exotic ores early game. Get a good set of useful talents at basic level early.
    - Team up with others. It's an MMO. By getting friends on the game you can split into different talent directions.

    Mining tricks:
    -      Use the middle mouse button for automatic mining, scanning, no need to get hand injuries.
    -      Use alt-scroll to change between 50m and 300m+ scan range
    -      The mining sphere is bigger than the scanner sphere, so , you can choose the mining tool to get to the field much faster and easier , just go back to scanner tool now and then while digging. (ctrl-scroll makes the sphere bigger)
    -       If you run out of inventory space, just put a huge craft job (as much as you can) then you get more space in your inventory.
    -       If the scanner shows you an ore field but you know that everything is gone, it might be possible that there is more in your neighborhood, relog and you get rid of ghostfields (server delay)

    Flight tricks:
    -    Since the flight is handled in the client, you can have a sudden stop by just quitting the game (alt-F4 , relog) or force respawn. (i wouldn't recommend force respawn, since then you loose your nano content) so if you approach the ground with 500 km/h don't be shy and quit the game , re-log and be happy .
    -   If your speeder doesn't fly, use the RMB on your seat,  look for auto configuration and choose flight and, may be you place the stabilisers like wings, by default they show into the sky...
    - If you travel to a planet and it seems unusually smooth, (non sanc moons, though, on the whole, tend to be flatter than planets) pull up immediately into space and relog. It could be the sever has desynced. If you land you could suddenly find your ship up to 2km underground.

this is an Idea for bringing life to the people in DU.
Advantage...easy impĺementation, most stuff must be done by players:
Drugs could be bought and sold via NPC market but with effect on the workefficiency on a planet.
If your company  is settled on a planet and bad stuff comes in, there could be  chance that your employees get dizzy while mining or building or doing other stuff.
Thats why you have to keep this stuff away from your planet.
Hire The Drugenforcement Crew or be the sheriff in town with your cargoscanning behemoth...
    Edit*
I just noticed that smuggling is already mentioned  in another post...well. hope we will get it.
