    I'd prefer alien fauna and flora, not "sentient" things. A variety of different alien animals would be interesting, different patterns at all. this wouldnt make much of a tactical advantage but i think it would help flesh out the games universe and some lone player gameplay. You could explain the aliens being on multiple planets (i doubt they are going to design enough for each planet) with lore to increase depth.

    I recently got a new camera too. A Canon G7X Mark II. I mainly shoot landscapes when I travel, so I wanted something compact without losing all the DSLR features, and don't need a lot of zoom. I had a DSLR before and it was too bulky to carry around on trips.

    I also think veins would be better than blobs, it would promote tunnels instead of big ugly gouges on the planet surface, like open pit mines in real life.

    NQ has mentioned that currently high-end systems should be able to handle it, which would be closer to mid-range systems at the time of release.
     
    You could also try the Unigine benchmarks to see how your system can handle the engine: https://unigine.com/en/products/benchmarks

    Why so concern about this, too many assumptions made, only NQ can know what they can and can't do based on their tech. Plenty of time for them to test before release, if it ever does become a problem, they can address.

    Hello everyone Im Munie/Munney, I am so happy to have found this place and though I will have to save a wee bit to begin playing/testing the game. I truly enjoyed the time i spent beta testing a different voxel build game and look forward to pushing the limits of the tools in this game and build/Sculpt some lovely statues and structures. Hope to meet up with others who once like me also tested The Other game. not sure if i am allowed to mention the name of the dead game lol But it was or did set a landmark uhmm bench mark for the type of games Im willing to invest my time and funds to.

    One layer, many, or 6. Doesn't matter at all. From the looks of it you only need escape velocity and reaching a certain height. That's it. No suborbital trajectory needed. (March and April dev diary videos). Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with this simplified version but real orbits (as asked here)are another story.
     
    And on a more general matter:
    I would love to have real orbits but you introduce extremely hard mechanics with such a thing in a mmo (if even possible). Only think of a rendezvous in space, docking ships, meeting a friend, getting to another planet, ....
     
    It would be cool though if you could do slingshots and use gravity assisted turns plus aerobraking to get somewhere far with a lowtier engine. If you can't do it, wait for the hightier engine to unlock via skills but if you're competent enough , you can make it work with a lowtier too while using game mechanics - just an idea

    I can't remember which game, but you could actually switch between 3d map and a flat map. I wouldn't mind that, because for some purposes a flat map can be useful, like having one common frame of reference for making territory maps and at-a-glance navigation.

    Nope because they take 30% of my income at my tax bracket and I don't get anything back. 
     
    Nothing makes me angrier than seeing how much I have taken from me every paycheck in taxes. Nothing. 
     
    Nobody is ever going to convince me that taxation isn't theft.

    Chat system is listed in the features list on the crowdfunding portal. Org chat is pretty much a given for an MMO, or it should be.

    It's not worth getting upset over a trivial matter, only NQ has the means to hunt it down, they really don't need vigilantism on this. People could make a gazillion accounts but if there's nobody to show up launch day it was all for nothing.

    The real crime is if somebody actually wants a name that an alt account takes up.

    For me the main thing is how to prevent players from collecting their own bounties from a friend. Maybe if you could limit who can claim the bounty to specific individuals or orgs.

    In the IGN GDC video you can see a few materials that are on the periodic table, like iron, gold, silicon, etc. But they also had others like ceramic, plastic, resin, the alloy duralumin. They mentioned there would also be some fictional materials like kyrium to explain "magic" sci-fi tech. I doubt they would try to make the properties of everything super realistic, but the whole system looks like it will be pretty complex.
