  1. We minus well not have brakes. The asteroid/planet/that dudes ship is your brakes!
  2. One way to reduce server load is that a ship can only lose 1/100 of its voxels from being rammed/ramming. Let's say your ship has 100k voxels. It can take out 1k voxels, still ramming, but not as much strain on the server.
  3. WHERE DID MAH SAND GO THO? THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! CONTACT GABE! On a more serious note: Love how you implemented a story into a player actually playing the game beautifully.
  4. But uhh... then someone could simply search your faction name and they'll know everybody in your secret society group thingy.
  5. If you're homosexual to homosexuals... wat.

  6. ULTRA-MEGA-REINFORCED BRICK!
  7. Or we could just have organizations print their own money with their materials of choice. Then THEY trade their money for other items. If the organization is stupid, they'll try to buy everything but behold, people will be like "Their money ani't worth nuthin'." But yeah, your idea could work well.* *better than mine
  8. It should go in your inventory, then you can load it unto an actual cargo storage.
  9. I do not support this motion. We need to test the server for straining it, and making sure turrets work correctly.
  10. I believe a more friendly way of making elevators is putting micro thrusters on a plane of blocks. You'd have buttons making the thrusters going up and down. Possibly add a "tracks" element (similar to roller coaster ones). Boom! People can make pistons, sliding surfaces with JUST that. Add a rotor, BOOM, rope, chains, and motors.
  11. "These ants appear to be making spaceships. Should we be concerned?" -Intelligence
  12. Dual Universe Memes: Do not google and scroll too far.

  13. That aside, I'd love that idea. I could just imagine going in one for giggles, and in a different galaxy. Woo, fun
  14. It would be semi-complex, unless they just order a massive voxel change. Like having "voxel 1" the dirt you found on the barren planet, and "voxel 2" the grass of normal planets. They could simply issue the "voxel 1, to change to voxel 2". Or they could simply do a painstaking planet regeneration.
  15. How about most planets will be barren/toxic/uninhabitable and you'd have to place biospheres, re-stabilize its magnetic force-field, and make transfer harmful materials? Lets say you landed on a harmful planet but full of materials. Your AI suggests that the soil is ready for growing planets and rich in nutrients. You place a biosphere and create a magnetic forcefield that blocks solarflares from damaging the plants inside. After you see that the planets are growing giantly, you call your alliance to suggest terraforming this planet. The alliance agrees and starts funding materials so the planet will be a giant "garden world". After a while, a rival alliance sees this planet and see show much you are benefitting from it, so they send a bunch of "dirty bombs" to "de-terraform" it. Plez, NQ. Moar Ideas: You just found a planet FULL of life, but all the plants/creatures are harmful to humans. You'd have to "de-terraform the planet, then re-terraform the planet". After being de-terraform, the planet loses stability after a few years without life. The planet becomes to unstable the planet basically implodes (because... that'd be cool). All constructs within about 1000km are heavily damaged. The resources will then recollect later to recreate the planet, albeit different.
  16. I think a great feature would be people mixing metals to make alloys. Possibly gun powder mixtures?
  17. I think a warhead should simply take out durability out of the blocks. Lets say DIRT has a Durability of one, and the warhead has a explosive power of 1000. 1 Durability = 1 explosive power to destroy it. After a warheads max explosive power has been reached (in this case, 1000 dirt voxels have been removed), the explosion stops. Lets say concrete had a durability of 100, so the warhead can destroy 50 concrete blocks. A warhead can NOT deal all of its damage to a block. Lets say you have 50 voxels of "Unobtainium", each with a durability of 500. A warhead can only deal 1/10 of its explosive power to a single voxel, so you could 0 unobtainium, and with THIS warhead (2000 explosive power) you could only damage, Tell me if this is complex. I need a graph or something

    Sensors 2.0

Another cool thing would probably allow sensors to detect gases, liquids, and/or unauthorized material (like a testFor Narcotics). Maybe even allow it to detect colors, so your ships won't be detected or something.
  19. One way to cure "ScreamingChildDisease" is to make it so that "muffled, high pitch, or earhurt songs" are automatically blocks. Just a suggestion. Or just let organisations just pop them in the body.
  20. Remember kids: Humans are always going to be ***holes.
  21. Will this game like, just completely engulf you? From headbob to having a realistic view angle. After that, any chance of seeing devastated worlds? Ones torn from the inside out? What about having supplies scarce on most planets?
  22. More importantly. Why... powercores. Powercores are specifically for controlling, not powering. And making cores have different values and stuffs is just... overpowered. If you want a better weapon, upgrade it.
  23. They could make displays/logo placeable when above a certain level. By then, they care about DU, so a temporary ban would be hell on them. Or... we could just allow anybody to put up anything, then the organizations could take them down, then again, they might be dicks. *pun intended*
  24. The problem with radiation: Each radioactive voxel needs to be check for its a degrading isotopes... constantly. But yeah. I'd think nuclear melting would cause extreme damage to unprotected people.
