  1. I've used 10 of them in one of my Ship Builds. They are very large.
  2. Until something happens, I am playing and Livestreaming Gothic 3. Feel free to check it out. P.S.: Gothic 3 is not an MMO and is an RPG from 2006. Also it is a LOOOONG game .... which shows my expectation of when some big changes will come to DU ...
  3. It's a sorry state of the game when you have to plan, schedule and invite people to a PVP event ... "Emergent gameplay" my behind.
  4. I must say, in the last days I only login from time to time just to check if someone has bought any of my ship blueprints ... Don't feel like building any more for now, and there is basically nothing else to do, no exploration, nothing to see ....
  5. I am nothing if not bloody consistent. A post from me in 2016:
  6. Has this not been the case for ages now? At least in my case ... not always but very often, I would build, swap voxels, whatever, then I would exit Build mode and it all would look like before I made changes.
  7. Kein Entwickler liest deine Frage. Nicht mal wenn du sie auf Englisch gestellt hättest, geschweige denn auf Deutsch, lol.
  8. The word "toxicity" is very often abused in this day and age to silence any and all difference in opinion. No doubt a product of the terrible overly "politically correct" culture that has infested every aspect of media and social networks. I am politically incorrect to the core and will always be. People that in your opinion are "toxic" and "salty" have the right to be so if they so wish. And in my experience most of the "toxic" arguments come precisely from people who actually love the game and would want it to succeed, but are repeatedly let down by irrational decisions on the part of the developers or a complete disregard of any and all suggestions and constructive criticism which could in fact help bring the game to the right track.
  9. This is the biggest irony, since JC really has a PhD in AI .... Relying on "player content" alone is a huge fail for the game. Player content can never "create" Aliens, monsters, beasts, interesting quests, old civ ruins, cultures, the urge to actually explore the bloody universe ... it puzzles me immensely that people (JC) don't get this. I mean, for crying out loud, we just flew God knows how many billions of miles through space, spent thousands of years to finally reach a solar system with habitable worlds, a new exotic place - but there aren't even freakin INSECTS to be found on any of those planets?! Where is the attractiveness to all this? Where is the need for exploration? Why would I want to explore dead, boring planets which offer nothing, absolutely nothing worth of finding or even looking at? Where is the "I wonder what I could find if I finally manage to fly to that very distant planet"? Where is the AWE and WONDER? Is the definition of a "fun game" the process of producing crap, that everyone else can produce, and then sell that crap in order to make money, just for the sake of making money?? You do not need space game for that - you don't even need planets, ships, anything - you just need a bloody smartphone and can slap together a mini game where you produce crap, sell it, rinse and repeat, make money, then what? produce more crap of course ... because what else is there to do? Do they even realize how BORING this is? As I said - future, distant space, planets, a whole universe before you ---- where is the AWE and WONDER, where is the spirit of exploration? Where are the exotic and fascinating things to be found and seen? Where is the mystery? BTW, I have talked EXTENSIVELY about ALL OF THIS in ALL of my DU videos on my channel - but since I am not a shill, or an "influencer" naturally no one watches my videos so it all falls on deaf ears.
  10. I commented on Bludrakes Video, but my comment kept getting deleted ... because I pointed out that NQ had also offered me a partnership, but I refused, because as I wrote in the comment, "then I would have to post videos like this one which reads more like a press release from the developer" ... and remarked that if they want a politically incorrect review which is actually objective they should check my review Anyway, I don't know if my comment is still there. But his video was absolutely embarrassing. On the other hand - this might be the reason why he has thousands and thousands of subscribers and much more revenue, while I am a poor YT bastard ...
  11. Just downloaded the PTS Launcher. Launched it. It crashed. Now it is not launching anymore ...
  12. That is my review from the start of the beta. My "What happened" reviews are a tad different, and I do them only after I definitely give up on a game, like I did with Osiris. I really love DU and as a Ruby Backer have supported it from the very beginnig. Thus the "hoping it doesn't come to that" part ...
  13. If something doesn't change soon, I think I will have to do a "What the bloody hell happened?!" Video on DU (see for example my "What happened" review of Osiris: New Dawn here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wh0c2You-y4 ) Hoping it doesn't come to that though ...
  14. Yes, I've had some 30 crashes in the last 2-3 days. Latest one was today, just as I lifted off near Market 7.
  15. Don't know exactly how their tech works, but I suppose doing that would entail every construct and every voxel of each planet having to update the position every frame since they would be all "moving" (with the rotation and/or orbits respectively). I too wish for this (and have wished in every space game till now) but I don't see how they could manage that.
