  1. I agree, I like the Eve system of skills, you can also train all your skills offline, so you don't have to be online in order to train up your skills. I prefer a skill system similar to the one in Eve than the one Noblehouse proposed.
  2. Thank you *wipes my face with wet nap* and I would be glad to make you some smoothie as well *grabs a cup for you*
  3. oh silly me *wipes face clean, proceeds to once again fill the holy blender with the fruit & other ingredients, puts lid on this time* now you may blend
  4. I agree with both of you guys, having something like what you suggested Starford, would be a very helpful tool when it comes to ship design, this would definitely come in handy as a simple design tool, and could save time for those without much design software experience such as myself. But what Vorengard says is also true, NQ should be focused on the continuous development and improvement of the game, but getting something like what you suggested would be great down the line & i'm sure it would be much appreciated, it could even help those who are not good designers on improving their skills.
  5. good, good. *removes top part from blender* now make a fruit smoothie for me please *puts fruit & other ingredients into blender*
  6. I finally discovered the rest of your name, you have been hiding it for so long
  7. wait, how will you be able to play DU or even use a computer? you have no hands. Also, can you make me a fruit smoothie?
  8. Great question. I was wondering the same thing, hopefully NQ explains more about how orbital construction will work because right now we don't know much about how that will work. Will orbital stations have to have a modular design like the ISS in real life? meaning, will we have to launch the station into orbit as parts, and then have a ship of builders assemble it in orbit? or will we have some sort of method of building in space that won't require us to launch constructs in parts? I hope the devs at NQ can answer this for us soon.
  9. Nice, we hvae plenty of builders in our organization, the Solar Empire as well, so feel free to come and visit us, let us know what you think, I'm the Director of our org's construction department.
  10. Finally, someone mentions the trees, I hope that we can harvest trees, I can think of a couple of uses for them such as decorating and using the wood for building.
  11. Just a question, will you literally attempt to crack a planet or somehow make large openings on it's surface to make mining easier or is that just what the name of your mining company is? just asking an honest question.
  12. I agree, we should be able to have our own robots, but not for use in combat, I think that we should be able to have drones, like maybe your're controlling a scout drone from your base and it's patrolling an area that might get attacked and when an enemy does arrive, you and your org will know, so you can send troops to defend the territory. Or maybe you can use a drone to haul mined ores back to the surface.
  13. I don't think there will be one before Alpha, but it would be nice to have something like that eventually later on, it would save resources and building materials, that way you can really focus on designing your ships and finally build the final version in game.
  14. I hope that orbital construction will be easy and not too hard because then it would take longer to build orbital stations, leaving them vulnerable to attack for a longer period of time.
  15. but what if you just want to dock your small ship to a larger one instead of merging them? sounds like it would be confusing to dock without accidentally merging both ships.
  16. I personally think this would be a nice aspect of the game as long as it isn't necessary. For example, eating food would give you more energy and stamina, so if you're a miner underground, you can mine faster then someone who hasn't eaten at all. Or if you're a builder you can build more constructs faster e.t.c. I also think it would be nice to have your own farms and grow your own food, it would make the game more emmersive and realistic.
  17. you make some good points there.
  18. I like the idea, I also hope NQ implements this into DU, it would be cool to see groups of players just researching new technology in the game and seeing and visiting research stations would be cool too.
  19. even if it survives the harshness of space, it can't possibly survive battle or an attack, once your defenses/weapons are destroyed then your wooden ship will be turned into charcoal. You should at least reinforce it with metal.
  20. sounds like a cool idea, I would love to see it built just like everyone else has mentioned.
  21. I agree with you, and besides, what kind of city doesn't have roads? traffic of hovercraft and players will eventually need to be organized so players can move smoothly and easily through the city and in between buildings, and not only roads will be needed, but like you said, and depending on the terrain/landscape of where your city is built, we will also need tunnels and bridges.
  22. I agree, roads will add order, structure and an urban feel to hovercraft and other ground vehicles traffic, so I think all, if not most cities should build them.
  23. Sounds like a good idea, I'm sure this will help many orgs, I wish your porject luck and I hope it helps many orgs which I'm sure it will
