  1. Does anyone else feel this way? How the heck am I supposed to know what to do / how to spend my time without knowing exactly what will be permanent or completely ripped away? I've tried to be patient, but it's been 3 months since Novaquark dropped this weird bombshell suggestion with zero details.
  2. Would talent points be preserved? That's really the only thing I can't live without--YEARS of accumulating talent points. If those were set to zero, I'd never come back.
  3. If you code for someone do you have the capability to conceal that work in game? I guess I assumed all aspects of a construct that I owned would be "open source" so to speak... is this not the case?
  4. o7. I played Eve for a bit--even ran my own Indy corp for a while. But I'm more excited about this.
  5. With the tab targeting system, is the targeting of buildings and other constructs from a ship (air to ground) something we will be allowed to do? And, if so, anti-air platforms will have to be relatively cheap, effective and autonomous. Otherwise people will just fly around and bombard any constructs they see.
  6. Not the beta... the beta waitlist. At https://www.dualthegame.com/ the first prompt is to get notified when the crowdfunding reopens. Thanks @Magz and @Vorengard for the advice! I got Roblox and found that book at my library. To everyone else, I'm looking through the organizations right now also. Thanks again!
  7. I touched on this in a previous post but I wanted to post it here. Imagine a downloadable client that allowed players to build a ship (via God mode) and fly it in a small area. It would run locally on the player's computer (no server cost). It would also serve to build hype for the game: A community would immediately develop around ship design principles and, better yet, would give your players something to do over the next year and not lose interest in the game. And I'm not sure about others, but I'd pay a decent price to have something to direct my hype and excitement into (building cashflow for the studio). I don't know much about application development, but I have to imagine that putting something like this together is a relatively simple task and would reap immense marketing benefits for the studio.
  8. Hello all. I discovered this game 3 or 4 days ago and have become very excited. I read most of the wiki and watched a lot of videos on YT. How else can I spend my time now? I've signed up for the beta waitlist and hope to join this game as soon as possible... but realistically that is probably more than a year way. Is there any way I can practice ship design / building, practice Lua scripting or anything like that? (If not, that would be a great way to build hype--a downloadable single player experience where I can build and fly my ship in a very small area. I'd even pay for it!) Thanks.
  9. Thanks. Where did you hear that, do you remember Also, any word on what inventory limits would be? In regards to mining... it seems you can fill up an inventory pretty quickly mining through dirt just to get to the ore below. I appreciate the help.
  10. What do we know about inventory and cargo space limitations? In a lot of the creation demos, the creator is holding 99999999 of given materials. I'm also curious if ships will have a way to store items as inventory items or if to transport an item you need to literally dump that item into a physical space inside a cargo hold. If the latter is true, won't it be much easier to transport items inside your inventory? That, then, immediately leads to inventory limits... which I've seen nothing about. Thanks!
