To clarify- this confuses people all the time; HQ status is there to protect your main tiles against loss due to TAX debt. Inactive Asset Requisition is there to remove abandoned constructs (and tiles I believe) from the world.

The HQ tiles will still be yours as NQ hasn't coded in that they go abandoned yet.

Any constructs on the tiles will still be yours IF you are within 3 months of an active subscription. If more than 3 months have passed, then any constructs not on Haven will have gone abandoned, and very likely everything will have been looted.

The first round of abandonments happened in the last few weeks (of those who played for a month since launch, then didn't sub for a second month).

I hate having to inspect each machine to figure out WTF is going on.
I wish they would update the status lights from just crappy Green / Red...
    They could easily make it:

    Red: out of material.
Flashing: 1 hour has elapsed in this state.
    Orange: output container full...
Flashing: 1 hour has elapsed in this state.
    Yellow: idling (maintain level reached)...
    Green: Operating normally
          Flashing: All done.
    Blue: Schematics Lacking.
Flashing: 1 hour has elapsed in this state.N
Off: new machine or no task assigned.

But this detail of development would likely require NQ to dedicate an entire team several weeks to achieving.

They could just leave it to us and make the damned light LUA controllable.

Damn. I've gone and added to the endless wishlists that fruitlessly populate this forum.

--edit... holy shitballs, I just looked carefully now and realised the machine's lights are THREE colours, not two....   An ever so slightly ruby shade of red means purposefully paused due to maintain limit reached and an ever so slightly orange shade of red means there's an error.

Never even noticed until now. LOL.

I'm not bothered if they keep the schematics in the game as long as they make it so we don't have to keep manually buying them and waiting around for them.

For a new player like myself it is off putting, the amount of times i've been looking to make something and spent time waiting for components to finish only to realise an hour or so later I haven't got the schematic for it so have to wait another hour, it is not right to me having to do that.

If you take it out of the game great, if not please just have something to automatically buy schematics for an item, it is really putting me off factory processing which is necessary for building your base. I'm still not really sure I want to continue my subscription, I may just wait and see if things change in this area before I come back, I'm undecided.

Ah ok I see now, so once you use up all the charges you won't be able to do it anymore even when replacing it down? That makes sense then.

I was under the impression you could keep doing it over and over without penalty gaining ore all day long. I haven't tried it past the charges but yes makes sense now.

nope, not fix schematics, kill schematics. first try in fixing them resulted in this mess I really do not want to know how many development hours were put in this but their time is precious and should go to more needed things like ava or whatever.  schematics have had a chance, two times the testers told NQ the proposed system sucked, two times nobody listened, lets not do this again, just delete the whole idea, give a bonus to whoever does that and...Move on.

probably server costs will be lower without schematics so make your investors proud!!! kill schematics

Please do something about the schematics, it is taking the fun away from the game, at least for me. They run out in no time and you're waiting around on items only to find out the schematics have ran out and wasted time waiting.

There needs to be something that automatically orders the schematic for you for that item when you have the funds to do so. It is such a chore to check each machine, it is deflating me from getting involved in factory process but you are forced to so you can make the resources to build with.

I hope they fix this madness

I agree, i've only been playing since launch so I don't know what it was like before but I was surprised there was no water and food bars and you can't die from heights. The planets are also bare, where is the NPC roaming planets? Or other life forms, it is a shame all that space and nothing but rocks and trees.

There is so much potential there but I think after what is it 6yrs? I don't hold out much hope for it. Don't get me wrong though I am enjoying it so far but if I was playing years ago I probably wouldn't be playing it now as it would be pretty boring.

I wish the factory machines were more like Satisfactory, going along a conveyor. I was also surprised at the fighting elements in the game, you are static when shooting which doesn't seem right. I'm not a PvP person but fighting in your space ship should mean manoeuvres and turns just like other space games.

I guess we live in hope more things will be added sooner rather than later.

The whole premise of “entirely player driven and built” is a laughing stock.  This was actually a reply deep in a thread somewhere so I just thought I’d dig it out and post it here. Sorry if you’ve read this already.

bots control our hex-rent. Bots control our schematics. Bots control our sales taxes. Bots hand out and receive missions. Bots sell pretty much everything anyone needs. Bots buy stupid almost unlimited amounts of ore and bots hand out a daily stipend. And bots control whether or not we can fire weapons.

what is there actually left to play and strive for other than building?

why is there no energy required to run anything? Why is there no oxygen requirements for our habitats?
why is there no food or farming?

why are there no threatening box life forms that raid our camps?

why are there no mysteries beyond a few lowest possible effort alien cores?

    what an absolute joke.

Is the community, I have seen so many people helping each other out and that's what makes it the best to play for me. I also play another game called Wurm Online and that has an amazing community also that goes out of their way to help you, this game is the same.

I say this because yesterday I bought a brand new ship upgrading from a hovercraft, even though I did the tutorials I crashed a 500k ship. I now know what my mistake was, I was using manual instead of using cruise control which is so much easier but manual I came in to fast to land and panicked trying to land it and exploded. I had just moved to Alioth the day before and had no resurrection pad so it spawned me back on Haven. Anyway a guy called EdmundBlack came to pick me up and take me back to the crashed ship to repair it, I hope he doesn't mind mentioning him but thanks to him I saved my ship otherwise there was no way to get back to it.

I still find it daunting to fly, I go super slow even if the ship supposed to go fast, at least until I get used to it a bit more. Going from a hovercraft to an atmospheric craft is a big step if you are new to flying but yes the community here seems a very good one and hopefully one day when I get more experience I can help someone else out myself.

Simple solution, don't allow people to build around the market.

I don't like this idea of how you can build towers into the air like that near market, just take the tiles away around a radius of the market, there is plenty of tiles on the planets.

Just a quick thought on how to improve UX for factories owners.

    - A new element: schematics bank.
    - It can have infinite amount of links and can be linked with industry units.
    - The element is capable of storing schematics and providing them to the industry units.

What's the point? Currently, when you have even a small production line, you are quickly overwhelmed by the constant boring operation of inserting new schematics into every single industry unit. Having a more centralized management of schematics will undoubtedly make lifes of productionists easier and improve the gameplay.

Do the VR station atmo challenge and just use it as a way to learn to fly ships better without the stress of actual loss.

You still need calibration charges to do that. If you're maintaining enough mining units, you won't have any extra.

It's a nice boost early game.

    Hi, Danny_UK!

Thanks for letting us know about this. What you described is not considered an exploit.
This is a trade-off for an immediate chunk of ore that costs players ore in the longer term. It’s also limited by the number of available calibration charges.

We’d also advise that you use our support ticket system when reporting potential exploits. Thanks!

Will there be any NPC's in the game at all? Like maybe characters such as yourself roaming around the planets? Maybe you can kill them and dismantle for parts or something.

I'm gonna wait for someone to say "this is PvP" but I'm not a PvP person, I much prefer PvE.
