  1. But that makes no sense, what is the purpose of a HQ tile then? I was under the impression if you set it to HQ you get to keep those tiles even though it is inactive. There is nowhere telling you in game after so many days/weeks or months that those HQ tiles are gone, not that I could see anyway. As I say I understand other tiles being like that which are not HQ tiles, that would make sense but I thought the idea was a HQ tile was yours to keep which you need to pay for to mine on it or build on it whatever it was. I'm certainly not going to pay money forever, people take breaks from games here and there and can't afford to pay long term subscriptions. The fact you lose your HQ tile just drives me away even more and I would put money on me not being the only one.
  2. Well that is what I initially thought, HQ are protected but it seems not unfortunately. The constructs gone I could live with but not the tiles themselves as they were near water area.
  3. Sorry for late reply, yes they were near water area in land but I couldn't tell you where exactly unless I could spin the globe. Thanks for the offer, I may come back in the future sometime and start a fresh but I like near water and as you probably know they are usually first to go. Looking at your post though it seems my tiles have gone then, I know you get 2 HQ tiles, in my opinion they should be protected until you start paying on them again. I can understand other planets where they would become available again but not the HQ tiles on Alioth.
  4. That clarifies it then, thanks. I was under the impression your tiles are reserved forever. Now I know that they are gone I probably won't be back then, as far as I know there is no way to know if the tiles are still mine without paying subscription so I have to assume that they are gone.
  5. Well I think it probably is over 3 month, I left when first month ran out. How can the buildings be looted though if it is on a HQ tile? I can't remember which planet I was on or what it was called, it was the planet everyone goes to after the starter planet, maybe it was Haven? I didn't have any buildings though, maybe resources in boxes but I guess that is all gone if you can loot inactive HQ tiles, I thought they were safe.
  6. Well after reading this I hope my base is still there from when I first started. I have 2 HQ tiles that I used to pay for but ran out, I was under the impression they stay yours all the time just they go inactive. I've been waiting for the change on schematics before I came back but if my 2 HQ has gone and been taken that will be it for me, have no desire to start all over again, not when you pay a subscription for it.
  7. They finally listened to people eh, thank god for that. That's the only thing that was driving me crazy about that game. I guess I will be back when it is added then.
  8. Not played for awhile so thought I'd ask here, has placing schematics in the machines manually been changed yet? I would be willing to come back if that huge chore was changed.
  9. The question is why have they not added more things to these planets? I have no idea how many there was as I only played on launch but from the planets I have seen they are bare. Full of surface mining rocks but where is the ambition for the game? All that space and they could have added roaming npc's, robots to kill to harvest parts and more buildings to visit other than market, this list could go on. For me the game is similar to Atlas, played that at launch many years ago and had the potential to be a great pirate game then mistakes were made within dev team and everyone left the game, not many play it these days. If the game was free to play I don't think many would criticise so much as you're not paying for it along the way but to pay subscription at £10.49, quite a lot higher than other popular MMO's it is just not worth it for me at this time. I cross my fingers though and hope they pull something out of the bag and turn it around, they could have a lot more players in the game if it was going in the right direction.
  10. I had a look at how many players were actually playing on Steam 792 which was all time peak 555 within last 24hrs and as of right now 198. When I used to log on at this time that number was in the 500s. They are not making it easy for people I know that much. For a subscription game I would expect better from a dev team, it has potential but it has been going for 6yrs or so and would have expected more from the game to be honest. As many already know the schematic system killed it for me, I'm certainly not running to each machine putting them all in there. I got my email today "it is time to renew your subscription" erm I don't think so, at least not at this moment in time. I hope they fix it, I still drop by here to see if anything changes but for now my time is spent in other games.
  11. Well as a new player I have no idea what that is. People shouldn't have to add third party software or mods whatever they are, they should be in the base game itself for everyone. You would still have to go to each machine to put them in anyway unless you know of something that I don't.
  12. I agree, it seems to me from reading the forums that they don't listen to the players and want to change or try new things. I started off enjoying it and the motivation slowly ebbed away through schematics alone and I haven't even gotten into other parts of the game yet. What gets me is this game has been going for 6 years hasn't it? I dredd to think what it was like years ago because there doesn't seem to be enough in the game over the 6 years. The land is empty with only surface mining rocks. Why couldn't they have added creatures or some form of NPC to kill and harvest parts etc. Many ideas could be implemented into the game it is shocking how it has gone 6 years and in the state it is now. I may come back to it in the future, I maybe could forgive them if the game was free to play but I for one will not be spending on subscriptions every month to not enjoy it. I hope things change especially to schematics but given it has taken 6 years to get to this I won't hold my breath.
  13. I didn't take into account any alts that maybe used to do this also. People don't really pay subscriptions on multiple accounts do they? I don't think I could throw money away like that unless I was super rich. I still think it should be changed though to stop this happening, hopefully they come up with another method that is more better than it is now.
  14. Well I have gone back to Satisfactory for a fresh start until they sort things out. I started off enjoying it until I realised how many of these schematics you have to buy and put them in each machine, it is just silly. I'm not going to pay a subscription for not enjoying myself, hopefully they fix these issues relatively quickly as the game itself has potential.
  15. Yes but I'm talking surface mining and I presume you mean mining units for tier 2? I have not tried other mining units, whether you can get T2 on Alioth with them I do not know but if you are willing to surface mine Limestone and Machite is there, just not a huge amount.
  16. Well I haven't even got off Alioth yet, I'm still mining ore on there. I have Limestone and Machite which are tier 2 I think which were on Alioth but I am yet to venture out onto other planets although I don't think I could bring myself to spend that many hours looking around and finding nothing. How do you know there is 10k players playing the game though? I know there is 500 on Steam, not sure how many play altogether though but I would be very surprised if it was 10k.
  17. I'm not bothered if they keep the schematics in the game as long as they make it so we don't have to keep manually buying them and waiting around for them. For a new player like myself it is off putting, the amount of times i've been looking to make something and spent time waiting for components to finish only to realise an hour or so later I haven't got the schematic for it so have to wait another hour, it is not right to me having to do that. If you take it out of the game great, if not please just have something to automatically buy schematics for an item, it is really putting me off factory processing which is necessary for building your base. I'm still not really sure I want to continue my subscription, I may just wait and see if things change in this area before I come back, I'm undecided.
  18. Please do something about the schematics, it is taking the fun away from the game, at least for me. They run out in no time and you're waiting around on items only to find out the schematics have ran out and wasted time waiting. There needs to be something that automatically orders the schematic for you for that item when you have the funds to do so. It is such a chore to check each machine, it is deflating me from getting involved in factory process but you are forced to so you can make the resources to build with. I hope they fix this madness
  19. When I hear people say they have suggested things for years and only implemented now, that worries me. It reminds me of a game called Atlas, that had high hopes also but the devs bit off more than they could chew and it slowly died. I hope they continue to add things into the game on a regular basis because if it takes years to implement things I for one won't be sticking around I'm afraid, not when it is subscription game. A good dev team should always listen to the customers as it is them who put the time into the game and play it. I guess time will tell if the game will be a success.
  20. I agree, i've only been playing since launch so I don't know what it was like before but I was surprised there was no water and food bars and you can't die from heights. The planets are also bare, where is the NPC roaming planets? Or other life forms, it is a shame all that space and nothing but rocks and trees. There is so much potential there but I think after what is it 6yrs? I don't hold out much hope for it. Don't get me wrong though I am enjoying it so far but if I was playing years ago I probably wouldn't be playing it now as it would be pretty boring. I wish the factory machines were more like Satisfactory, going along a conveyor. I was also surprised at the fighting elements in the game, you are static when shooting which doesn't seem right. I'm not a PvP person but fighting in your space ship should mean manoeuvres and turns just like other space games. I guess we live in hope more things will be added sooner rather than later.
  21. Agreed with this also, I'm starting to see the pain of putting schematics into each machine and I've only been playing since launch. I feel for the people playing before that. Why can't we have something central to link all machines to for schematics? I hope something like this comes because once you hit big factories it will become a chore to put them all in, seems silly.
  22. Simple solution, don't allow people to build around the market. I don't like this idea of how you can build towers into the air like that near market, just take the tiles away around a radius of the market, there is plenty of tiles on the planets.
  23. Is there no way you can click "fetch ship" so it comes near you? Sorry I haven't used this feature yet on ships but I see others talking about it, not sure if it would work though. I think you click on map and right click the ship in menu.
  24. Indeed, I shall do that, I need a lot of practice although I'm doing ok now with the cruise control as you can set the speed. When I first started using it I was using default manual and the speed was spiralling out of control when coming into land.
  25. Ah ok I see now, so once you use up all the charges you won't be able to do it anymore even when replacing it down? That makes sense then. I was under the impression you could keep doing it over and over without penalty gaining ore all day long. I haven't tried it past the charges but yes makes sense now.
