    Can we please get some tools to add some vegetation back once we have built a base! Generally you end up flattening or deforming a large area which extends past the perimeter and it would be nice to be able to terraform it to a soil of choice and add back grass, trees, etc!

    I'm not sure if the server takes more resources to constantly update all the tunnels as we fly by or what the deal is server side BUT I think that tunnels in the terrain on tiles that are NOT own should 'cave in' after a week or so.
     
    And have the OPTION that on my territory that within a certain distance of a construct that no voxels will cave in.  (so buildings don't get filled in with dirt) Or no caves ins on claimed territory. 
     
    So basically Only claimed territories will still keep their tunnels if the player chooses. 
     
    I fly around looking for ore and there are tunnels EVERYWHERE which is cool... but not very useful. I just think if saving server resources is an issue maybe this might help as hardly anyone is going to go down a tunnel and just dig their own... 
     
    And as a side note maybe ores can respawn after a YEAR or so... I know that's not planned but as this game grows new players WILL find it hard to get a foot hold because all the easy ore is completely gone. I'm getting a LOT of scans coming up with nothing but tier one ores... now either that is by design or it's all being mined out. If it's really disappearing that fast it will be a problem in the long run... But that's a side issue that can be addressed later.

    Scanning a lot less of then t2+ stuff has always been the norm for me, but that could just be me. 
     
    Saving on game-load by filling in the tunnels/caverns in unclaimed every so often sounds like a great idea.
     
    Ore-refilling could be nice, but a large part of new-player-mining issues is likely to be the ever expanding blockade of claimed territory they cant dig. Both issues combined aren't nice to new people's time, so something may need to be done about that.

    Ok I have a question and maybe a few suggestions. 
     
    Are there going to be a mix of NPC missions and Player driven missions or is this ONLY for players? So is there PvE content? 
     
    If this is going to rely ONLY on players then that would be very underwhelming. 
     
    There are sooo many things you can do with this if there is PvE content.
     
    -Production orders (source and deliver 100L basic screws) either purchase from market or manufacture yourself 
    -Salvage loot from wrecked ship at x/y/z cords and deliver (rewards dependant on safe zone location or not)
    -Destroy pirate base/ship ( NPC ) 
    -Intercept cargo shipment at x/y/z cords (Again NPC hauler) and deliver 
     
    I know Some things are easier to implement that others but This would add much needed content. 
     
    If this is already the plan then just ignore me and I'll wait patiently for the update ? 
     
    Love this game and I hope it succeeds

    We would like to address the recent speculations that have arisen in our community, and openly disclose some changes that are happening at Novaquark.
     
    First and foremost, Novaquark continues to be supported by its long term investors to allow it to launch Dual Universe in line with its original vision. It also puts us in a position to attract experienced talent to complement the team that’s already in place so that we can continue to improve the game.
     
    Next week, we will share with you what we think our priorities should be for Dual Universe and how we hope to approach the development of the game with improved processes going forward.
     
    An important change to note is that Jean-Christophe, the founder of Novaquark, has transitioned from the day-to-day management of the team to better focus on his position as a board member. Over the years since the creation of Novaquark, JC designed and set the standards for the structural and conceptual foundation of the game, and he feels now that a solid base is there for him to move forward as a strategic advisor. The recent changes in the administrative presidency of the company only reflect the transition of JC to his new role. We’re excited to have the team he has built deliver on his vision for the game.
     
    Rest assured that Novaquark’s future is in good hands, and there is a strong partnership between our long-term investors and our team. We believe that the future is bright for the game and for the company, and we cannot wait to tell you where we want to take Dual Universe.

    I've skimmed through this entire thread and it seems you are all so busy complaining about PvP you have all failed to see a glaring Easter egg.. 
     
    The attached image is from the Aphelia missions, the target is Thousands of SU away, the value is huge and the mission is to destroy them all. 
     
    If I'm not mistaken, this is a hint at future PvE.

    It would be really awesome if you could incorporate, drone, NPC ships as a part of this mission system.  Ships with great rewards.  These PvP guys need something of substance and reward to shoot at.

    I brought your concern to the team, and they shared their thoughts:
     
    "Missions have a predetermined source and destination points, yes, but that's no different than any other flight from planet A to planet B. Pilots don't have to take direct routes between the source and destination points. Also, a red warning message will appear if the mission leaves a safe zone, which should make strategizing easier. Try indirect routes, pay attention to the warnings and don't name yourself something conspicuous like "Mission Hauler" and you should be fine. "

    And another thought on this - well, a question: will there be enough NPC missions to keep money flowing into the economy? If it's just shuffling player money around, pay will drop until no one will take the jobs and the whole thing will collapse.

    If you want to just compare things back to other games, then Elite;Dangerous, No Mans Sky, Empyrion, Everspace and many more are just rip-offs from Eve.

    Of course some games will have similar features to others. If the feature works for the game, then why not have it also? Seems like common sense to me.

    As for half-done: Why would we want the exact same system that CCP uses for Eve, in DU? Do we have NPC space stations and such for the pre-set destinations? Also, player constructs usually consist of many cores, so would you list ALL the players cores in the game as pre-set destinations to choose from? Seems rather silly to me... I'm glad they are implementing a basic version and then tailoring it to DU's style that straight up copying another games setup.


    Now, my question is if they will consider being able to create 'Loans' to players, so that you can help someone invest in something and they agree to pay it back (and maybe with interest) over time? Giving, say a construct they have or items as collateral...

    Too grindy, that is a survival game thing not mmorpg. It would be better if we could upgrade industry units instead of deleting them, re-placing the new unit, re-linking it, etc. Also making adjustments to them like more efficiency at the cost of speed, more speed at the cost of efficiency, more of both at the cost of power when we have power mechanics.

    Schematics should be upgradeable. Start with base schematic and put into research element. Takes energy/time/resources to upgrade schematics time/material/production efficiency. Then also let us sell these on the market. Would add some much needed depth to the schematic gameplay. 
     
    Could add Scientist Skill trees to compliment this branch of research. 
     
    (obviously assuming energy will be added soon) ?
