IN another short answer, no one can know. It's not up to Novaquark most of the time to tell people if they can play that game depending on what country they are in. Infact, they probably want people from all the countries they can get.
 
The only problem is what countries tolerate. One of them is probably Turkey. They have blocked Youtube, Twitter, Imgur, Facebook and many other sites for a period of time. Of course, they can't make up their mind and frequently block and unblock the aforementioned sites. That's not the problem though.
 
Turkey has blocked many games as well, including Minecraft.... yes Minecraft was debated to be blocked back last year to it being too violent. Also Steam was blocked in Turkey.
 
It's not NovaQuark, although they may choose to block some outlets to avoid controversy. It's mostly the countries themselves.

I mean, it's a simple idea but it could have it's uses.... until you think of one thing. While we are using this, there is still the problem that people will use external chat for faster communication. I mean, it wouldn't make sense for chat since there would also be alternatives.
 
However, for things such as sending maybe a camera feed, radar detections, or similar, it might be feasible.
 
1. Scanning an area with an automated drone would also store data. Now, let's say you need to send that data a distance. Depending on the distance, it may be possible you need something stronger to transmit the signal, or something to relay that signal.
 
However, my second point against.
 
2. Latency as you put it in here, would also take more to calculate. In essence, making the game calculate the signals and the time it takes to get to destinations is unreasonable. If a signal is traveling, and it has multiple receivers, calculating the delay for each one wouldn't be reasonable for the server, and it would just be a waste of time for those waiting for said signals.

You are correct. Skills will take time. Hopefuly it is as you said, in that it will take actual hard work and time to achieve those skills, but we'll have to see what exactly they have in store for us.
 
Skills, as far as known, are meant to deterrent for people wanting to experience everything instantly and an attractor for people who want to take time training in their field. We know that skills will take some time, similar to how it will take months for us to achieve space travel. As we also know, it would take over a year of in game time for a player to achieve space travel alone, so that gives us an idea to the skills and research required to achieve such a feat. 
 
However, most speculation made based on calculations and information, they will be used for what I mention now.
 
We speculate that skills may be used for weapons systems, engineering, manufacturing, piloting and so on. There is probably more, but we can guess the better your skills are for weapons systems, the better your hit chance and damage is. The better your engineering skill, the better you are at repairing. You get the point. We estimate skills will work this way, but that's just the guess for now.
 
As for invasion, yes. It wil be possible and it will be epic. Truly, with the size of things, it will be a major feat and should only be tried by the most worthy and confident.

If they take the lazy way out after the for the beta, I will be severely disappointed. I want planetary timezones! Just to confuse people more, it would be worth it.

Well, the death star probably wouldn't be able to destroy a planet. The weapons will be fixed weapons with fixed stats, so we probably can't construct the massive laser. However, get someone who is obsessed with planetary mining and maybe you can make it uninhabitable.

He is simply assembling the gameplay mechanics and trying to figure out if there will be a realm for solo players in this community. There is no need for negative controversy to be stirred up and no need for a, quote on quote, remark about him being anti-social and accusing him of multiboxing(he said it but didn't say he did it) to be said. If you feel the need stir up controversy, just go back to your irl social circle.
 
As for you my friend, I never Welcomed you to the forums and although it is a bit late, welcome. As for solo players, it is stated that solo will be possible, but the benefits of joining a group of people will far outweigh solo. In terms, organizations will always have a dominance over solo by a long, long shot. Solo is not a good option, however such roles as freelancer, wanderer and even professional spy, bounty hunter and as such will be possible. So there are roles that are similar to solo but actually have some benefits. 
 
For NPC corperations as well, I highly doubt we will see such things but the devs still have a lot to reveal to us. Hope that answers your question.

I apologize if this isn't the right forum for this topic, but I didn't know where else it might fit into.
 
Lately I have seen some conversations on the forum become very aggressive, insofar as people cursing at each other and getting into really heated arguments. While I think it's healthy to be able to debate openly on the forum, there are certainly some people you might not get along with very well. I'm not going to point out any names, but some people certainly have the tendency to escalate debates into full blown attacks on one another. 
 
Which is why I want to point out a feature of this forum that I think many people are unaware of.
 
 
If you navigate to your "My Settings" page, there is a tab on the left hand side of the page titled "'Ignore' Preferences". 
 
From there you can ignore any user you'd like to, including their signatures and personal messages. 
 
 
I think if more people were aware of this feature, there would be less of a chance for discussions to break down into full blown arguments, and things might stay a bit more civil overall.

Time for me to step up my game. This is quite high quality and now that this has just entered into the picture, I'm going to have to advance myself.

And to everyone, thank you for joining. The rate of growth is quite alarming and is forcing me to expand when I thought I had a little bit more time to sit back. As apart of our government, Cyrule manages crucial parts such as organization management, member registration, organization pairing, information requests, organization applications, and so on. This branch of the DUA is meant to handle large quantities of data in a quick manner. This branch is meant to ensure that things run in an orderly and sophisticated manner that can not normally be matched.

Thyrule is the system responsible for managing external affairs, The long negotiations, the trade deals, the intelligence, and all sorts of matters.
 
 
 
 
 
This is split into many different departments in order to ensure that there is the capacity to handle all external matters that come it's way. As such, there is plenty of positions avaliable for those who have high ambitions. You are giving service to the DUA in order to provide options for our members and for those in the external systems to become ailed with us.

Kyrule is an asset that expects to keep the citizens of the DUA in line and in order. Split into three departments responsible for Tax Collection, Justice, and Policing, it is truly responsible for keeping the DUA in line.
 
 
 
 
 
The ability of you to perform in this branch of the DUA means you have the ability to keep people in check, for better or worse. This branch is in place to make sure the quota is fulfilled and that no person can call that it hasn't been filled.
 
 
 
 
 
As a collections officer, you make sure everyone who is responsible has paid their part, As part of the justice system, you make sure that people are held to their responsibilities and can be tried on them. As a officer, you ensure that the places held important in the cities, towns, and important areas are protected.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 



 
 
 
 
 
The Military Corps is a Category of organizations that work for the strength of Military. They are given the approval to be classified as military only once they are tested well enough. These organizations are not truly the DUA Military, but rather those that are certified by the Diverse Unified Accord to have the ability to operate well as a Military Force. The Certifications of these organizations are crucial.
 
 
 
 
 
From mercenaries to certain types of pirates, these groups are given the certification that they can be a fulfilling part of military endevors.
 
 
 
 
 
 



 
 
 
Under the Military Corps, operate the Military Core. The certified DUA Military Forces that operate in accordance with he Director of the Military Core. This group serves in order to maintain borders, give forces to expansion, and operate in the best interests of ourselves.
 
 
 
 
 
The Military Core is specialized, trained, and given certifications that allow it to become a large force to be reckoned with. With ideals defined right from the start, there is no doubt that the people invested in Military will always find a place where the Military Core can bring them in.
 
 
 
 
 
A use for the greater good of the Diverse Unified Accord, and order for the highest of standards, you will not be dissipointed if you look for the tur quality of protection of the DUA's assets. So, as mentioned in this video interview with the Dual Universe devs, it is said that there will be technological research in order to progress. That means that there will be something similar to tech research in the game. Now, this could mean one of two things.
 
We could have an actual tech tree that must be researched by time and experimentation such as testing things out. Or my prefered one....
 
True experimental research where you must test designs, figure out ideas and as such in order to build what you're looking for, ie a FTL drive.
