    If you still want to buy a contributor pack on top of that, you will pay the full price and you need to use pledge page: https://www.dualthegame.com/en/pledge. If I remember correctly, there is only a small hint when proceeding to payement saying that backers are now allowed to also buy a contributor pack.

    Contributor pack question

    Hi Steven_T and welcome.

     

    You understood it correctly.

    The only thing which may be not entirely correct is "ALPHA2 which will follow right after ALPHA1". Alpha 2 will follow alpha 1, but "right after" is not confirmed (it looks like common sense though).

    Hi Tarantula and welcome.

     

    It is currently not possible to gift keys (this will happen for backers with adequate rank during beta if I remember correctly).

    As it is also forbidden to share account, it is unlikely that anyone will share a key with you (that would be illegal to put it clearly).

    Will Dual Universe Be Free To Play?

    Hi EchoSpark,

     

    Current packs are for backing the game. Higher packs gives you access to the game in its development version (pre-alpha) which is unfinished and lacks a lot of gameplay and refining.

    Of course, there is no subscription cost before the release.

     

    After release, the game download will be free and you will have to pay a monthly subscription.

    To access the game, you need to login on the community website here: https://community.dualthegame.com/accounts/profile.

    You should see a "download the game" button if you bought a patreon pack.

    2 DAC questions (new to this)

    Hi kleyten and welcome.

     

    DACs are only used after release. All backers having access to the game can do it freely (it's not like you already paid 180€ after all).

    They will cost about the same price as one month subscription, around 10-15€.

    As for their in-game price, it's up to the players and the law of supply and demand. I'm going to be lazy and quote Nyzaltar (community manager):

    SUGGESTION to NQ about PACKS

    All backers can now buy the new packs:

    Calm down guys.

    Shouting and insulting is only going to get the thread locked and people punished.

     

    @maxxuser, keep in mind that you are currently backing a game. Having lots of different currencies to trade is not going to help NQ develop the game.

    They will probably update sales closer to the release, once the try to actually sell the game.

    From experience, I can tell that pushing the subject publicly and pushing NQ's hand is not a good idea. You will just make them angry too.

     

    For the others, even if you have good reasons to get angry, it's always better to stay correct and helpful. We don't need league of legends community.

     

    I'm gonna ask for a CM to clarify the subject.

    Apology from Slaxx to NQ and the Dual Community

    There are a lot of wrong ideas here.

     

    The organization was deleted for reasons explained here: https://board.dualthegame.com/index.php?/topic/11410-organizations-deleted-and-the-reasons-behind/.

     

    TheSlaxx was banned later for the below reasons (quote from CM):

    • He hasn't taken seriously previous warnings given by NQ Staff and thought smart of doing jokes about it.
    • He had a highly inappropriate behavior toward some community members.

    When sanctions have been applied:

    • He spammed the forum with posts filled with sexual content.
    • He (privately) copiously insulted part of Novaquark staff.

     

    If NQ doesn't want to unban his account, they do have good reasons.
